Excellent one night get away with the wife. The hotel is very picturesque with loads of history. Spa facilities are great and the good was exceptional.

A fantastic small hotel in all area’s, by far the best UK hotel we have stayed in for a long long time and we stay in many.
3.0
Staff very friendly, meals were tasty but a bit too much ‘fine dining,’ so small portions. Very limited, only the same 4 choices each day. Kitchen had oven problems too, which was unfortunate. Room was very comfortable and well maintained but there was a constant loud sound of running water in the radiators, very distracting especially throughout the night. Spa facilities looked really good but we weren’t able to book any treatments.

The hotel was beautiful. Rooms was incredibly cosy and bed was so comfortable. The only thing I’ll note is that for me, as a solo traveler, I felt that the hotel was a few socio econmic levels above what I’m comfortable in. It seemed to be frequented by a higher echelon of society and as a result I felt a bit out of place. That said, I’d wanted a quiet solo retreat to rest and relax and I was able to do just that.

Lovely venue tastful decor, immaculately maintained with friendly staff SUPERB food. (we had a fine dining voucher). We really appreciated our complimentary upgrade to a huge and very lovely room.

James, who was at the front desk was amazing. When we checked in he gave us a tour of the property, was very knowledgeable. His presentation and appearance was 5 star. I truly thought he was the General Manager of the hotel and but he stated that he had been with the company for one year. I know with his amazing attitude and appearance that he will be in that position on our next stay. The wait staff were amazing and treated you like royalty. I would recommend this hotel to anyone to stay. You truly feel that you are the owner of an amazing English Countryside Mansion.

A lovely two night stay. Staff were friendly and helpful.
We had bar food in the lounge one evening. Sadly it was not a good experience. One member of staff having to take drinks orders, prepare the drinks and also take food orders. Poor man was totally overwhelmed by the situation. Long wait for food. James came to the rescue but it was all a little like Fawlty Towers! Breakfast was excellent with a good choice of offerings. The hotel was comfortable with beautiful gardens and a welcoming pool and spa area.

Superb property in a beautiful setting with lovely walks nearby. Food was great, although dinner is not cheap. Only fly in the ointment was some inaccurate billing but quickly corrected once it was pointed out

The heat in the rooms is unbearable

The service was excellent. Food was exceptional. Grounds and spa were clean and relaxing. A wonderful 3 days to spend our 20th wedding anniversary.

Superb hotel. Our room was beautiful, the staff friendly and attentive, and our meal in the restaurant was outstanding. We can’t wait to return.

Liked dog room a bit noisy over kitchen though visit ruined however by the menu including Rabbitt!! Had a burger from bar menu in the end . If this is an award winning restaurant I don’t know how they judge it . Wouldn’t return unless they had more choice with traditional wholesome food as an option

My Wife and I spent St. Valentines night at this lovely hotel.
Our room was very well appointed, nice and roomy with views across the garden.
Dinner was nicely presented and for a seven course taster, represented good value and quality for the money.
The hotel facilities were also very good, a nice spa area, out door thermal tub and adequate gym.
Staff were all very friendly and attentive and this and its other group hotels are places we will undoubtedly visit again.

Laura, your staff member, was wonderful in every way.

The reception area appears to be going through a refurb so access was via the spa. The rooms need refurbishing urgently. It was the dimmest lit room I've ever seen and even then I could see the stains and wear on the carpet and furniture. Lots of mould around the windows. Otherwise clean. Staff were really helpful and friendly. decent wine list. Breakfast was very good. This could be a great hotel but the dilapidated room made it mediocre.

We LOVED this cozy resort in the Cotswolds!
Beth in reception and Shannon in the spa made our entire stay with lots of great recommendations and friendly greetings each day.
The rooms are gorgeous and the outdoor hot tub is a really nice amenity. All meals were lovely. We only wish the bed was softer, but it was also fine. We would definitely recommend!

Had a fantastic stay in the “elm” room, which was very spacious (the bathroom was huge with double shower and sink) and had a balcony overlooking the estate. All of the staff were friendly and attentive. We were provided with plenty of bottled water in a fridge, there is also a coffee machine in the room with fresh milk in the fridge. It was all very clean and looked like it had recently been refurbished. We had the spa and pool pretty much all to ourselves. The food looked and smelt great, we didn’t have dinner as we had already booked to eat out, there are lots of great restaurants in the surrounding area. We did have breakfast and the eggs Royale were very tasty with lots of other breakfast choices and drinks. We will definitely be back!

Extremely disappointing, for a hotel charging these prices you have a reasonable expectation. Service was extremely poor throughout, room was large but very tired as was condition of rest of hotel. The quality of the meal in the evening was excellent but breakfast was bland and the service at breakfast was terrible. A hotel claiming these prices needs to be doing much better, spoke to a member of their management but do not have any confidence that things will improve any time soon.
