Beautiful and very nice hotel. The Mângement and staffs pay attention to every details (what I feel) to make the stays from furnitures, room cleaness to services.

We've stayed here every year for about 3 years and this time noticed a transient population right outside the property. A man was yelling at someone at 8 am. We were given the keys to someone else's room upon checking in. Later, someone was given the keys to our room which was pretty unnerving. Brandon was able to adjust the bill; however, the woman at the front desk was not as friendly when we were checking out. It felt contentious and she was very short with me. I understand it can be a stressful job, but service and kindness should always come first. This was our last stay.

Very clean and quiet. 9ft ceiling on the first floor gave the room an extra spacious feel. Comfortable bed and good pillows! Decent coffee and free breakfast took the edge off and allowed me to start my day early. I’d go back.

The Wingate is great. I’ve stayed there several times. I like the big rooms and location. The coffee really needs to be changed! It’s like sludge coming from the machine. I’m not a coffee snob and just couldn’t drink it.

Overall a decent stay. Pros: Lots of space. Clean property. Nice staff. Good A/C. Big ice bucket and ice machine that works. Cons: Only one side of the king bed had an end table, even though there was clearly space (and a power outlet) for one on the other side. How cheap is that??? Very small pillows. The channel down on the remote was busted and there was no button for the TV guide, i.e. a 20th century remote. Had to hit channel up only a million times to get to the channel we wanted. Paltry selection of snacks and drinks at the concierge, even for a budget hotel - and no beer/wine. Verdict: probably not coming back, unless there is a deep discount. Definitely not coming back with my wife because I'm not paying $160 to not have an end table for my glass of water.

It was a great room, spacious, clean. Close to downtown and the airport. Perfect to get some work done and not feel trapped in 4 walls. Only negative was the walls were sooo thin. There were young kids next door that sounded like they were in my room doing their own Olympics. Location, great. The parking, great. Room, great. Privacy and quietness, not so great

Very easy to get to and quiet. Easy drive to both the historic river district and the beach. The staff were friendly, helpful, and efficient. Room size, layout, and amenities were perfectly fine.The bathroom had hair on the floor and sand on the outside of the tub, so it had not been cleaned properly. It was the only issue with our stay.

Overall a decent place, easy check in, staff is friendly but they had these weird signs up everywhere about things which should seem common sense like checking your room before leaving for belongings and that they’re not responsible for items left behind. Also there was a sign in the room telling you how much one can purchase the items in your room for, like a washcloth for $10, or a phone for $50, or a comforter for $150. Like who checks into a hotel to buy such items? It was a real indirect way of warning you not to steal things, which came across to me as disrespectful.

Clean, well designed room plan - AC doesn't blow into your head, but is located at the end of the room and at beds foot end. Goodie bag with bottle of water was very thoughtful, especially after the beach. Thank you!

The outdoor pole is quite small, no where near as big as the picture on the website. Breakfast was limited no real fresh fruit but bananas. Our shower/tub did not drain and the tub dripped water from the tub faucet all night.

I saw the reviews for this hotel on Hotels.com and they looked promising. That is why we booked this hotel. The location is absolutely perfect and the desk staff for the most part are helpful. The biggest problem we had was we didn’t get our room cleaned until the day before we left. The day we were checking out. I found dried up blood on the blanket on our bed. I was absolutely disgusted. I told the service desk and they didn’t help much because the manager was not available. The rest of the hotel is clean and it had wonderful rooms and plenty of space in the bathroom. I just wish they did a better job with their room service and cleaning. The rest of the day and location was great

Only have 2 elevators and when we arrived one was not working. On our 2nd day there both elevators were out. This is definitely a problem for people who have problems with stair climbing. We were in the 3rd floor

The property was ok, however I'm giving it a 3 stars because in the Lobby all day and night they had Fox New Station on, not the local news station but Fox. Would I stay there again, nope. Would have preferred to see ESPN or some other station, they did not deviate from Fox, a controversial and political station that to me is fake news!
