It was beautiful

The property was beautiful and located at a very quiet location. I traveled with family and it was safe to be around. The ocean was a bit rough to swim unless you are a good swimmer. Everyone was friendly and helpful. The restaurant on site was ok and a tad bit expensive for me. Definitely can stay again in future.
4.2
Overall stay was very relaxing and peaceful. Staff at restaurants and bars were extremely friendly and efficient. Pool was really a fun time.

Super

This hotel has the nicest beach in Huatulco. The beach is private because it is naturally separated from most because of big natural boulders. The staff is incredible and the rooms are wonderful.
4.2
Very serviceable staff.

It was exactly what I thought it would be. We had a great family vacation

Beautiful hotel! The pictures do not do it justice! Will be definitely returning in the future. Hotel was clean, and the view was amazing!
4.2
The beach was beautiful but not swimmable because of rough waves everyday we spend. Also the room is a bit outdated and in need of some work. The bed linen and towels need to be replaced.
4.2
One complaint, our private pool room which we were upgraded to because of Expedia was mot ready until 2 hrs after check in time
4.2
Place is extremely cleaned and maintained. The staff is very friendly, and determined to ensure you have a great vacation.
It has a meditarían flavor and look.
They can accommodate all your tours and todo list.

Excellent!

The property was just lovely, and a great location to the bays of Huatulco
4.2
Great pool and common areas, super beach access.
4.2
Great hotel, recently renovated, although the rooms need some work too.
The main attractions are its facilities close to the beach and the attentive staff that will make you feel at home, will definitely go back.
4.2
Pretty setting. Nice beach. Very quiet in April out of season.
No activities available to do at night, only Saturday night in April, so if you like activities may prefer somewhere else.
Starbuck closes early and opens late, not good for such a small resort if you prefer staying at resort.
Not a large food selection and very pricey.
May prefer all inclusive
3 in room but Only 2 towels and 2 breakfasts provided. 2 tiny water bottles a day provided in toom
4.2
Very friendly good customer service beautiful area all around

Due to construction, the main pool was only about 3feet deep. Tried to swim and my hands hit the bottom. The plunge pool for the room was VERY dirty. It basically was just a breeding ground for mosquitos. Also no bath mat (for slippery granite floors) for 5 of the 7 days we were the. No wash cloth after the first day. The smell of sewer was so strong sometimes we wanted to put our Covid masks on!! That sewer smell really did seem unhealthy, toxic!
4.2
There was loud mainteinance in progress during the day on the main pool

A great place. Clean and quiet, the staff was very friendly and helpful.

This was my second time at Camino Real. I loved the property and its location right on the beach, along with Huatulco in general, which is what brought me back. It’s an absolutely beautiful place with stunning views. What I didn’t realize is how much they increased their prices since the renovation last year (since I had been). Food and beverage was significantly more expensive. We did venture off to town and local areas for more reasonable prices. There are some good restaurants not too far away including Cafe Juanita and some more in La Crucecita. And there is a beer store a few blocks away.
The staff are extremely friendly and service is excellent at all outlets. I would say the staff are the highlight of the whole experience. Food was good, albeit expensive.
I had a massage and enjoyed it very much.
They made a change to our room at our request, and allowed us a late check out, which we appreciated very much. The beds were comfortable and both the AC and wifi worked consistently well.
The only thing that was not great was that the phone in our room did not work properly. Very loud static that prevented us from hearing the person on the other end, which made it extremely difficult to communicate (on top of the language barrier - many of their staff don’t speak English). We tried unsuccessfully to order room service a couple times which was frustrating, and we asked for a new phone more than once but never received one.
Otherwise it was a very enjoyable stay.

The Camino Real Zaashila is a beautiful resort. The architecture and setting are beautiful and the beach is gorgeous and very swimable. Staff are attentive and food is very good.
The only thing I’d like to note is that when we booked through Expedia it came up under all inclusive resorts and I booked with that assumption. Completely my fault for not paying more attention but we were taken aback when we arrived and discovered it’s NOT an all inclusive. As it turned out, we enjoyed exploring La Crucecita restaurants as well an eating at hotel. Food was report is good but it’s not inexpensive so be sure you know what you’re booking.
Expedia - when search criteria includes all inclusive resorts that are not all inclusive should not be presented. We weren’t the only ones who had this experience, as we came across another family who were similarly deluded.

Beautiful resort right on the beach. Could hear the waves crashing from our room. Friendly efficient staff, easy check-in, very safe. Restaurant atmosphere, view and service was top notch. Room and facilities were very clean. Tiling, paint, fixtures and HVAC could use a refresh. But we’re very happy with our stay and will return.
4.2
Everything was highly over priced. Breakfast was 920 pecos which at their exchange rate works out to 75.00 dollars canadian . The tub was hard to get in and out of the drain plug had been pulled out and was just laying in the tub. the shower head only half the spray nozzles worked. The beach lounge chairs were uncomfortable dirty and never cleaned
4.2
Stunning location and beautiful beach. Very nice boutique hotel. Nice rooms albiet somewhat dated. Much of the property has been recently renovated. Limited food options. Bit pricy which encourage us to try other restaurants. Generally excellent experience.
4.2
We had several issues during our stay, from an ugly and old furniture bedroom to a can of bear inside the private pool. The restaurant was not the best and the size of portions very smalls, not what they show in the menu. This place has a bad management
4.2
This property is gated, and if you want that kind of experience it will work very well for you. We found that it was pretty isolated, that with the exception of a few small restaurants and stores, not walkable at all. Be prepared for a pretty steep walk to get to the street ground level if you are walking anywhere. We are in our seventies, and we could do it.
The staff was helpful, the grounds were immaculate, and beautifully landscaped. We had a wonderview from our balcony (we had an ocean view room). There might have been almost more staff than lodgers at this hotel.
The pool is only waist high. The ocean is very swimmable, hardly any waves. There are plentiful chairs and shade at the pool and the beach.
The cafe opens around 11 in the morning, so that means if you don't want breakfast at the hotel, you have a 7 minute walk to go find a nearby restaurant/cafe.

Clean, beautiful beach, staff was great.

Beautiful resort. Room is comfortable and very clean.
The only complaint would be about the food. Food is mediocre and expensive.
4.2
Beautiful sea view and pools!
Lovely architecture.
Towels not received 6 days of of 14 with numerous calls to housekeeping and reception. Slow service in dining areas
4.2
Nice place to stay when in Huatulco. It has a private beach, jacuzzi, pool and breakfast food is good. Cheaper to eat in Crucecita (quick cab)
4.2
Very nice

For the price, it’s not worth it. Yes, it has beautiful grounds and the rooms are lovely, but that’s about it. The service was terrible, which at this price point it should not be. Housekeeping forgot to replace a face cloth in my room. No big deal- I called the front desk to replace it. Hours later, it’s not replaced so I go to the front desk to ask again. They said they would, but it still never got replaced.
Pool was out of fresh towels by early afternoon. When you ask guests not to use their room towels at the pool but don’t have pool towels available, it doesn’t work. The bar service at the pool was terrible- it seemed like only those sitting close to the bar got served. Even when I went up to the bar, with 4 workers behind there and not doing much, I still wasn’t paid attention too. I never did end up getting drinks at the pool.
Prices in the bar and restaurants are astronomical and unaffordable, but the service was a bit better (but not in the bar- I had to ask for my bill 3 times at the bar and I still had to eventually go up and pay, and it wasn’t busy)
I also found it sleazy for such a nice hotel to up charge the price of taxis so much. Call your own taxi and sometimes it’s half the price than if the hotel arranges it for you.
Lastly, I paid extra for a deep massage. Even though I told the masseuse I wanted it very hard, and told her during the service to go harder, it was not a great massage and nice again wasn’t worth the money.
Sadly, stay was disappointing
