This property offered a lot of nice amenities and excellent proximity to shopping and dining. We were pleasantly surprised to have a relatively large room and a balcony! Breakfast was very nice too.

Excellent!!!

Breakfast was great, but the hotel was very overpriced and outdated. Also very loud, we woke up every day at 6 am for a week from hotel staff leaf blowing outside. Not to mention, it said parking on site, but it is a decent uphill walk from the parking lot.

Love it!
The service was excellent , front desk and breakfast people. Beautiful view from the room. And it’s pet friendly.

This was a great stay. Perfect location. I can see that it would be a great location for ski season.

Amazing staff - breakfast alone is the reason to stay!

Great location. Reasonable price. Very comfortable beds. Great breakfast!

Nice place, just a little old and run down. Pretty expensive for what it is.

Really quaint and wonderful little gem. The breakfast was fantastic and the beds very clean and comfortable. Lobby area is very rustic and mountain chic. It is an older property with a few things that could be updated, but overall the value was very good. I would return here for sure.

I liked the fact the hotel has an old construction. It gives it personality. However, some areas including bathrooms and elevators need remodeling. The hotel lounge is gorgeous and the location is very convenient to walk, dine, shop and of course, ski.

Our room was clean and quiet. It was quite warm even though the nighttime temperature was in the 30s. We had to keep our exterior door open just to make the room tolerable. It’s definitely an older, outdated property but we didn’t mind that.
Their breakfast begins on the later side, making it inconvenient for those of us who want to get an early start to the day. Of much greater importance, though, the women who run the breakfast area were quite slow and generally unpleasant. NO WAY TO BEGIN A DAY!

John was amazing at check-in, helped us out with recommendations in the area.
Older looking but clean rooms, good proximity to Aspen/Maroon Bells area.

Still a pleasure to go to Snowmass Mountain Chalet. It's a very affordable and very comfortable hotel, in Snowmass Village. Ideal for hikers/mountain bikers who want to avoid the overpriced properties in Aspen and still enjoy mountain atmosphere at its fullest.

This place was great! Continental breakfast was awesome!!!

The evening staff were both very friendly and helpful. The morning breakfast was amazing each day and I enjoyed it much more than a buffet style breakfast. Don’t let this disappear. It is a nice change of pace from the usual breakfast at other places. I would definitely stay again.

Their breakfast is the best. No regular hotel breakfast here.

The staff at reception gave us a great welcome and helped us with finding a restaurant nearby. The room was dated and the air conditioner did not work. It was fine for a one night stay spur of the moment decision to stay in Snow Mass.

We liked the hotel. The man who checked us in upon arrival was very friendly and knowledgeable. The location was excellent, just steps from the Snowmass Mall where many of the restaurants and shops are located. It was also steps from the free gondola, which takes you to the base village with more upscale restaurants and activities.
The hotel was dated, which we sort of expected for the reasonable price, but clean. Our room overlooked the pool which was nice and the gondola. Our main disappointments were the window air conditioning (a fairly new unit, but still a windows air conditioner), lack of exhaust fan in the bathroom, new (but overstuffed to the point of being huge and hard) pillows. We actually took the throw pillows from the couch and put the pillow cases on them to sleep. The caulking around the bathtub should have been replaced a long time ago.
The free breakfast had great reviews which influenced our decision to stay there. The first morning the breakfast potatoes and eggs were old and cold, but the avocado toast was excellent. We mentioned it to the woman in charge and I think she appreciated our feedback. The next morning our breakfast was fresh and very good.
Parking was free and fairly convenient for the area.
Overall good stay.

Was able to check in early. Other than a fussy toilet all was great

The property has a good location is situated on the mountain and very close to the shopping and restaurant area. The parking is difficult as they only have a tiny garage that supports like 8 vehicles. So you have to park in the free lots way down the street making it a hassle to check in, check out and leave. The hotel itself is meh for the price. The common corridors are outdated. The hotel room was large but outdated bathroom, no windows that opened and A/C that did not work. The beds were actually super comfortable though which was a surprise.

This place is so quaint. The building itself is old but it has such a great vibe. It's very clean other than some construction out front. It's gorgeous regardless of that. The staff was very friendly and helpful as well!

AC didn't work in my room, when I arrived my door was wide open and there was no way to lock my door from the outside.

Property was clean and breakfast was very good.
Staff at the kitchen were very attentive and nice.

The rooms weren't very clean and the property is pretty old. What's worse is that I ended up paying $150 more for booking in advance!

This is the worse hotel I have ever stayed at. The hotel is old, dirty, Their room door was broken, rusted. dirty doors, dirty linens, floor carpet was very stinky, their beds are extremely old. The toilet was old and dirty. I could not even stayed there for even 10 minutes due to the conditions of the room, I left the hotel even though I had already prepaid for the room. staff said he can’t refund the money. I was just there for 10 minutes and the ac didn’t even work. I didn’t even seat in the bed or the old stinky red sofa.

Summer stay, nice for the price. We would stay again.
Pool & hot tub could use some cleaning.
Breakfast was amazing and the crew at breakfast were friendly & welcoming.
The in-window air conditioner was extremely loud, so we just kept the window open instead.

The hotel is a little outdated. However, the staff are very friendly and accommodating. The resort area is very easily accessible with gondola and shuttle access as long as you stay within snow mass mountain. On our last night, a black bear got into the hotel, but I think this was not a common occurrence. No one was hurt from what I understand.

This was not what was advertised by your online description and photos! It was old, run down and smelled like mold! I only stayed for 45min. and then decided to check out! I had insurance through you guys and hope to get some type of refund!

Excellent customer service. Love their breakfast. Catalina was very accommodating

This is a good budget option in an excellent location. The lodge has upgraded some features in recent years including the addition of air conditioning (which is not common in lodges of this age). The best feature of the property is the location, followed closely by the legitimately homemade breakfast. Absolutely excellent choices, with rotating options each day. Kudos to the chef. As a popular resort destination, there is bound to be construction. We were awoken too early on one of the days of our stay. Ideally, the village would have a noise ordinance for starting work in the AM, alas, the hotel cannot control that.

The property is getting some upgrades. The breakfast was wonderful and not a typical “hotel” meal. The avacado toast was amazing! The staff are terrific!
