Room was dirty, mold in the bathroom hand towels were dirty not a very clean stay

Got to the room and tv didn’t work. Toilet flushed but ran forever. Beds too soft and noisy. Went to front desk and asked for another room. She didn’t even ask me why. Moved our things to the second room and tried the tv and still didn’t work. It froze every 10 seconds and it would stay frozen for up to 17 seconds. Staying here two nights with a kid and no working tv, no way. We left and never stayed. No one was at the front desk so I left both room cards. I emailed the hotel with why we left and never got a response. I would never recommend this hotel.

Staff members were very nice. But the place is infested with bugs! The first one was in the bed on my neck! I'm not sure what kind of bug it was; but, I told the front desk personnel. She did not seem surprised. Moved me to the opposite hallway, nicer room and bugs on the floor in that room.

The room was not very clean, there were no towels, the smoke detector had been removed from the ceiling, and the old cigarette smoke smell was overwhelming. The bathroom still had someone else's hair on the sink and shower wall.

The worst hotel I’ve been to. It was run down and nasty throughout the hotel. I killed a roach that was crawling on the wall in my room. I was not comfortable there at all. I left early and was told by the woman at the desk that she couldn’t check me out at that time. She was too busy on her cell phone to do her job. I left anyway I couldn’t stay any longer.

They have bed bugs. The rooms do not look anywhere as good as the pictures online suggest.

The room had mouse droppings in the bathroom, my daughter got her hand stuck to a mouse trap, the beds had signs of bedbugs, there was stains on her covers and cigarette burns. She wouldn’t even sleep with the cover I had to switch her. I was promised a late check out and when I got there, they said no. Won’t be back.

First thing I did when I entered the room, I used the bathroom. I killed a small roach. Layer, i killed 2 more smalker bugs! Later there were a couple more. I gilled out the info on an email i was sent from the front desk. No response. Next day, i killed another roack on the wall next to the bed. When we left, i told them to soray that room!

Dirty cheap hotel. No up-keep. Bathroom door does not physically shut, front door you can see light through it and no security lock at all. At 4am you could hear everything going on around you. On top of all this the smoke alarm started beeping every 30 seconds or so. Not a great stay or night of sleep. Won’t be back , oh and no towels in entire room so even if I wanted to take a shower I could not. Never again

Sorry to say.... the room my husband and I stayed was horrible experience.
Bugs crawled around, mostly on bathroom floor where there were a few large cracks and broken tiles. Not safe!

Terrible!!! smell so bad, the carpet dirty and bad smell , smoke, very bad conditions, there was cucarachas and spiders in the bathroom. It was a bad experience.

The shuttle driver didn't offer to help with my bags or even come around and open the door for me. When asked about the cleanliness of the hotel he stated "depends on who's working." The pest problem "depends on what guests bring with them."
Upon arriving the front desk person looked like they'd just hoped out of bed. The bed was dirty in the first room. The top sheet (didn't touch the rest) had huge dirty brown stains on it. The second room had small bugs crawling in the entryway upon entering. The third room already had a guest staying in it. The final room had roaches so bad that all I did was open the door and watched several start to scatter from the light.
DONT GO THERE its nasty, loud, and unprofessional. It was a waste of my time.

Our first suite was flooded..the air conditioner leaked all over the floor. we asked for another room. Which was no problem. The room was fine until we needed towels and were told they didn’t have any and my son woke up to bees on his face!! Thank god no one is allergic! The air conditioner in the hallway also leaked. Puddles of water everywhere. The breakfast was open til 930am, we went down at 830, it was empty with no one around to assist!

3rd floor smelled like cigarette smoke even tho its non smoking. Room smelled like old cat urine and stale air. We drove 16 hours and arrived about 2am so we were too exhausted to complain. Bathroom floor tiles and shower felt like you were about to fall through to floor below. Breakfast was decent and gentlemen at check in was incredibly nice but i honestly would never recommend the hotel.

We got locked out of our room 3 times because of the latch. On the 2nd time the maintenance man tried kicking the door down, broke the locking mechanism. They didn't do anything. We had no lock the 2nd night, had to put our cooler in front of the door. Asked for extra pillows , never got them. Would I recommend this place, I don't think so! Will I get any type of credit as they said I would. I don't think so!!

I felt like this was a dirty hotel. Check in was at 3pm, I arrived at 3:10pm. The clerk said the room was not available, there were down cleaning staff and only had 2 people. I said not an issue and we would be back. The manager said the room was available now and we thought great we can will check it out. Got to the room and it was still a mess like they were still cleaning it. So we told the front desk it was still being cleaned. We grabed a bite to eat got back a little after 4pm, the room was still a mess and not cleaned. The put us in another room which was cleaner but still was dirty. Carpet going down the hall was very dirty, major black stains and spots, walls had cobwebs, side doors to parking lot would stick when they would shut behind you, one side door to parking lot was busted. Our room had little hairs in the corner of the bathroom, dirty towel from previous patron was found in bathroom, non smoking but smelled of smoke, dirty windows....just I felt dirty walking down the hall to my room and felt uncomfortable in the room.

It was the worst Microtel I’ve ever stayed at. The rooms were not in order. It was a construction zone. Our room didn’t have a fan in the bathroom, light switches had wires showing. The light fixtures were broken. When I booked I booked early check in. The rooms were not ready until an hour after posted check in time. The halls smelled bad. The towels were clean, beds were clean. The facility was NOTHING like the photos or anything like prior Microtel experiences. My first impression wasn’t good either. The receptionist looked like she had just got out of bed in her biker shorts and tshirt very unprofessional in my opinion. Do NOT recommend Microtel Florence

This property is very old. Our carpet was soaking wet by the A/C and all our things felt damp after being in the room for a couple of hours. Loose tile in the bathroom was covered up by a towel, there was a cockroach in the bathroom, lots of water stains on the ceilings, the whole hotel smelled very musty and visible black mold in the hallway. I will say they did their best to clean what they had but the hotel is garbage and a vacuum, dusting, etc can’t cure that.

Due to the condition of the overall motel, I would not recommend anyone to stay there.
It was truly filithy dirty. Smoke smell was very heavy, the lobby floors looked liked they not seen a mop in years, roaches crawling on the dirty carpet.

If you like cockroaches for breakfast and dial-up quality internet, this is the place for you. Hallways were stained. Oh, and the open rooms blare Fox News and other hate tv.
Plus, it was an event weekend, so I paid 2x the normal price.
Never stayed in a Microtel before and won't ever again.
In short: Book anywhere else. You've been warned.

Rooms are musty and moldy. Says non smoking and the whole floor smelled of smoke. The bathroom had not been cleaned, the tub was filthy and mold all around where the small refrigerator was supposed to be located. There wasn’t one in our room.

I reserved a non-smoking room. The room stank of past cigarette smoke and an over-abundance of cleaning solvents used to try to mask the smell. The smoke alarm had been removed. The carpet was filthy. I stayed there one night, and then requested and was given a different room. Same problems, only worse - no smoke alarm, room stank of cigarette smoke, and broken light fixtures. The front desk clerk cooperated in providing me a full refund. Which was good, but I wish I had been given accurate, honest information when I booked. Expedia should not advertise this as a hotel with non-smoking room options.

The smell when you open the door to the room was just horrible and it looked like there was duct tape around the sprinklers on the ceiling and in the bathroom on the showers in the walls there was a lot of mold in the shower curtain was falling down

The hotel is cheap and not clean. The Wi-Fi is the cheapest and slowest in the world. The breakfast is cheap not good. It is not worth it for the money,,,Stay away.

The whole hotel smelled of smoke including my room. It made me nauseous. They updated the hotel recently but it was done on the cheap. My bathroom door was a mismatch and wouldn't even close. The shower rod was falling down and there were holes in the walls and wires hanging from the TV. Whatever TV system they used was horrible
