The hotel is not the newest and on the outdates side but it was clean and provided everything we needed. There is free breakfast but we did not end up taking advantage of it. There are a few bars in the nearby area that can be on the louder/busier side during the weekend. It didn't bother or affect us but just something to be aware of if you are looking for something particularly quiet.

Clean and lovely rooms. It felt like I stepped back in time.

This hotel is definitely dated. It’s a bit musty and could really use with some fresh air. I’m sure it was cleaned, Just outdated.

Probably the best hotel in New York. It is unpretentious, perfectly maintained, comfortable, and atmospheric. A delight. 10 out of 10

The hotel was clean and maintained. There is a lot of outside noise that you can hear from the inside of the hotel room. I was on the first floor.

Public transit is great around this area

room is small, other than that is in good quality. 6th floor wifi is unstable, cannot normally remote video with others. Rate would be 8/10 if you are living in rooms except 6th floor.

Staff was very accommodating after I found a bed bug in my room and gave me a new room. Luckily, no further issues have arisen after the fact, though I did have to go and wash all of my belongings to be safe.

Very good location for a lot of tourist attractions and in a very cool and historic building! Understandably dated, but very clean and comfortable accommodations

A classic. Old but well-maintained. My favorite place to stay in FiDi.

There was an open drain in my bathroom that smelled strongly of sewer all the time. I ended up closing the door to the bathroom to keep the smell in there while I slept and skipping my shower until I got home that evening to avoid the odor.

This historic hotel was conveniently located for my business needs. I hope to stay there again.

The people at the desk were nice. They extended me with no problem. The breakfast is weak, and the coffee watered down, but you're in NYC so there are a million places to eat. The location is fantastic, right behind Stone Street which is a very fun place with plenty to choose from for eating and drinking!!!

The property is very ornate with a lot of character. The staff was amazingly nice, professional and very helpful. The room is 5 star!!! Overall what a great place to stay....our first visit. We WILL be back.

I have stayed here many times. It is very convenient for Wall st. Rooms are very comfortable, not terribly fancy, but more than adequate for a business traveler.

Stayed for one night and it was a nice experience.
One flaw was the included breakfast, which only offered a small amount of choices, and no eggs or meat, but I did not ask it.

We loved being in a quieter area to visit Manhattan. The hotel has great transit options to get uptown. From the hotel we walked to Brooklyn, Chinatown, Stone St., NYSE, the World Trade Center / 9-11 site; and we even walked to Greenwhich village. For us, the location was great. I appreciated the fact that the curtains really were blackout, that the other guests were quiet, and that we slept well and felt rested each day for all the walking. The breakfast was simple but perfect for starting off the day. We would recommend this hotel for its location, policies, price, cleanliness, and convenience. We got a valet parking permit for CityPark only a few minutes walk away so our car was safely parked all weekend for a reasonable free.

Bad smell. When I complained they promised me half off and never sent it. Gave me the run around and the front desk lady Ana was rude.

Perfectly adequate small inn. A little tired, but excellent value for the money and great location for visits to Wall St.

Great hotel - big rooms and a decent size bathroom. Only slight grumble was problem with lift on one day and the bath and basin plug mechanisms needed renewing.

Amazing stay, hotel clean, comfortable and with all amenities necessary, very well located in a charming neighborhood, great check in experience, specially because they allowed me to do an early check in. Also it’s very close to the subway, friendly and easy!

Great location, helpful/friendly staff. We would definitely stay here again.
The only thing I wish is that the breakfast was a bit more. There were waffles and cereal, but not much else.

Nice hotel in the financial district, a little bit worn but that only added to the charm. Very clean. The breakfast was better than expected. Also suprisingly quiet surroundings. Close to subway.

Very nice stay in an excellent area, but we were here during the October fest celebrations and it was very loud

In a world where you can buy anything you want, this hotel just makes me happy. It's old style feel like your back in time. The slow elevator doesn't matter because they just have a few floors and a few rooms.
The team is always nice and even that breakfast is small, it's everything I need.
I hope this hotel stays as it is.. please no new, glass hotel... just pure, simple and nice.

Was able to check in early the staff was so friendly and accommodating. The area was quiet and easy to get an uber. We enjoyed our one night stay. We were able to store our luggage there while we went sight seeing before our trip to the airport.

Vintage vibe but still in the city. Good location a lot food places around .

It's charming, old world in a sea of paint-by-numbers hotels. And the woman at the front desk was a breeze, a delight, and a stunning beauty. All in all, my 20 hours here were fantastic.
