A great stay. We were already aware of the numerous quirky hallways and stairs. Yes, it is easy to lose your way.
The breakfast was nice. Dinner - mine wasn’t great. I ordered mushroom pancakes! Avoid. Chewy and tasteless. But our daughter said the burger was the best she had ever had.
Our view was pretty bad- looking into a waste area. However, the room was lovely and everything was clean. They have a kettle and biscuits in the room.
Beautiful surroundings. Loved the pool and sauna.

Met up with friends a d had a lovely stay. We had Executive rooms whuch were nice and spacious- especially room 4.
Very nice meal in the restaurant.
All staff very friendly.
Lovely location and will definitely stay again.

As we have experienced Best Western hotels which were always excellent, I assumed, wrongly The Webbington would be on a par. First of all it should be called ‘Stairs Galore!’ Far too many stairs: the leisure area was well fitted, but if our bedroom was a ‘Superior room!’ I would hate to see what a standard room was like! It was my Birthday, and quite frankly I should have booked a Holiday Inn which would have been 100% better. Whomever the franchisee is who bought the hotel, he knows how to charge without doing anything to support the amount of money for rooms that are not up to speed. The balcony door was completely warped so the bolt didn’t align and door wouldn’t lock. It overlooked a quiet area & I didn’t feel safe. We told reception who responded with: ‘It is safe here, we don’t even have CCTV in the car park!! That didn’t give my husband and me any confidence at all! Hotel is in the middle of nowhere, but it doesn’t mean it’s a safe haven! Also in a so-called superior room with a superior price tag there should have been tissues, shower cap, miniature toiletries. There was absolutely nothing at all! Just a measly tiny round soap & 2 half filled shower gel & wash. The bathroom windows were horrid, & needed to be replaced. So I was very disappointed.

Lovely room. A bit tired in places but good overall

Hotel itself has good facilities but the rooms are loud. Couldnt sleep 1 night as heard next door talking till 2am and next night snoring. Walls are paper thin 😡
3.9
Very helpful staff.
3.9
A fairly comfortable stay but the restaurant food is so-so and there were a few bugs in the hotel room floor carpet. The lock to my door was faulty so it took 20 minutes to resolve when I checked in.
3.9
Very dated Property .
3.9
Lovely location. We enjoyed our meals at the restaurant.
Our room was a little out of the way, involving 3 flight or stairs, but it was comfortable.
3.9
Lovely hotel in a nice location. However, the hotel is in desperate needs of renovation. The rooms and corridors are very tired and dated.
The walls are very thin so every noise travels. I was lucky as during the week it was quite quiet but i can imagine if you had noisey neighbours it could be bad.
The views from the hotel are just lovely and it was in the perfect location for my meeting.

Very relaxing nice to get away for one night

Staff friendly and smart
Views stunning
Overall hotel tired and needs updating

After checking in we went to the room which was very dated and backed onto a large embankment. The shower was Luke warm at best and no extractor fitted in the bathroom. The positive is that the breakfast was very nice.

Hotel is in a beautiful situated. The views are lovely. The staff are friendly, accommodating and attentive. The rooms are quite small but liveable. The beds were comfortable. The bathroom was a good size. Shower was good. Storage was good. But the walls are at best cardboard thick. We could hear people walking about in their room up above us. We could hear people next door talking so they probably could hear us.
Breakfast was a buffet breakfast. Food was hot and very nice.
Swimming pool, you have to book. Given the size it was understandable.

Beautiful hotel but in need of some renovations, decorating
and updating.

It was good.

We Had to check out as we had an emergency at home !!

we didn't stay , the stairs leading to the rooms had this horrible smell ....never again not at this place ...!!!

Lovely stay, weather was good, staff were friendly and helpful
3.9
Nice stay, great staff , food was really good
Overall we enjoyed our stay
Waiter in the bar and restaurant was excellent
3.9
Very disappointed with this hotel. The room was tiny, tired, hot and dark. It was a long way from reception up and down multiple stairways and quite difficult with luggage. The hotel itself - again - in great need of updating in all areas.
3.9
Good value for money! Only a 10 minutes’ drive from Cheddar Gorge.
A bit dated but it's understandable as an old hotel.
Staff are amazing, super friendly and always available
Facilities are super fabs! with gym, sauna, steam and pool.
Breakfast is very good value for money with both hot and cold options (buffet)
it was our second time there and we will be back again
3.9
Comfortable.
Good value for money.

An extensive property with charm. Staff all helpful & attentive. We were offered help with our cases, which we gratefully accepted as our room was at a distance from the entrance & up a few flights of stairs - no lift!
Food was tasty with a good range of choices.
3.9
The room was two small with the big wall just too close on the window
3.9
The food was disappointing. Breakfast buns were stale and chicken burger and chips cooked in old oil.
3.9
Nice countryside around but close to the motorway. room was quiet and breakfast substantial
3.9
Single Rooms exceptionally small
3.9
Lovely stay lovely room with balcony though a little tired .
Could do with a paint or refirb in certain parts of hotel.
3.9
This place was a little worn but wehad a good overnight stay . Food was good . Room ok but 201 was next to staircase and door so could hear people walking and talking late and early
3.9
Staff friendly, bar meal was tasty, breakfast ok. Whole place needs a refurb. Area around the hotel is beautiful and lots to see within a few miles.
Couldn't stay in the first room because of boiler and pipe noise. Moved me at around 11.30 pm. No hot water and radiators didn't work in that room.
Apart from that is was ok.

This is our go-to hotel when want a few days away. It’s location is perfect for visits to Cheddar Gorge, Wookey Hole, Bath and many of the other beautiful area’s around this hotel. The staff are really lovely and nothing is too much trouble. The food was really good and has a varied menu to suit all tastes. Our room was spacious, comfortable and clean. The Spa is welcoming and relaxing. The pool is warm and has set times for children and never gets overcrowded as there’s a booking system. The gym has all the equipment you would ever need. All in all a great place to stay.
3.9
The staff were absolutely lovely and very helpful, but the hotel itself was quite unusual, slightly misleading, and unfortunately, we had some extremely unpleasant people staying in the same corridor as us, who showed no concern for others in allowing their children to run riot in the hallways and making a lot of noise and mess. Obviously, not the hotels fault that people have no idea how to behave, but it negatively impacted our experience.
3.9
Lovely setting.
3.9
Hotel very dated! Bedroom and bathroom dirty, cobwebs, mould spores.. very poor condition. Bedroom cold and all linen needs renewing.
3.9
Leasure facilities are very good. Great location with lovely views, west across the Somerset levels.
Great for conferences or weddings
Staff very attentive.
3.9
Left it a little late to get one of the better rooms.
Would have to leave it in the future for the standard rooms, well overdue a makeover.
Regards
