Hotel is not walking distance from center but on the lake and across from kunstmann cerverceria! You feel safe here! The view of this hotel alone is priceless! This in itself it worth it! Has a fun bar too!

Overall good, they where changing for new door locks, and floor had some wood chips from the installation, but OK.
Make sure to notice there are stairs to climb to the rooms, no elevator.
In general, nice hotel, good restaurant and very helpful and friendly staff, would stay there again.

Beautiful view of the lake however rooms are outdated, bathroom small with chipped, cracked basin, towels shabby and room way too hot! Very 80’s and in need of a renovation. Fruit and breakfast would be appreciated rather than so much sweet things.

The hotel is far too expensive for the old and dirty conditions they offer. The service at the front desk is the worst I have ever seen in more than 25 years of traveling all around the world. They never solved our problems, they even tried too. The front desk at night has no idea of how to do the check in process, has no access to drinking water for guests, and has no idea of how to solve a temperature problem in the room. At the morning we had to do all the check in process again with a very angry woman. It was a mess to go to that hotel. They don't know what the word "service" means. The bathroom had fungus and they very dirty. They requested from me US35 more as a tax and I asked for a tax certificated that they denied to give me at the front desk. They never sent it by e-mail as promised. The wifi and internet is the worst (less than 0,5 Mbs). If you want one egg at breakfast for a baby, you have to pay for them although breakfast was supposedly included in the rate and you paid of US$165 per night.

Beautiful view and good location, good to move to the city and the country. The property needs maintenance, rooms are basic.

We booked here on short notice on a busy weekend and were very happy with the service and the room. Staff went out of their way to make us comfortable.

Stay at this place only for the view, nothing more!
Old place, this property has seen better times and it looks that they don't care, the tourists come anyway just because of the view of the Lake.
Old towels, the pool is in terrible condition, the heater at the room is not controlled by the user (we need to sleep with the window open). Breakfast ok but it doesn't include eggs (you need to pay extra).
Anyway, the view is absolutely amazing that's the reason we stayed.

Me and my boyfriend stayed at the hotel for five nights and really enjoyed our stay. Good location outside the Bariloche city center right at the beach and close to some really good restaurants. Most of the rooms (including ours) have big balconies facing the beautiful lake where you can sit and just enjoy the outstanding view. The hotel has a nice pool area although it was a bit too cold/windy outside when we were there in end March.

The view across the lake from the hotel is stunning - get a lakeside view if you can.Our room was clean and comfy, the staff were very helpful in helping us book our onward bus journey. We would have been stuck without them actually!Just along the beach there is a little kayak hire place. Thoroughly recommend hiring a kayak for an hour and going out on the lake. The hotel is a bus or cab ride from the town centre. A cab to or from the airport should cost c.220 pesos.

A very comfortable hotel, good food, very friendly staff, and the most magnificent view in Argentina.

The room was overheated even when you turn off the heating. You need to open the window all night to try to sleep.

Stunning views - right on the shore of lake huapi.
Easy to get into the town centre by local bus just outside the hotel.
The rooms are quite basic and bit old but they are clean and the staff are very friendly.

With a perfect lake view and away from busy downtown, this hotel offers a nice relaxing experience.

This is an excellent hotel with a breathtaking view over the lake framed by snow-capped mountains in the background. The room and facilities are as good as the service and the staff. The hotel is located a bit out of the city, so is a somewhat pricey taxi ride from the airport, but well worth it. There are frequent inexpensive local buses for excursions to the city that stop outside the hotel. Tours will pick you up from the hotel. Our stay was cut in half because our flight from Buenos Aires was cancelled, but the staff did their utmost to make up for the disappoinment. Very highly recommended.

if you go to Bariloche for the lake, HDL is great. it's on the correct side of the road so you have no obstructions what so ever. and it's just beautiful. for that reason alone, we very much enjoyed our stay. but now the details... The room was ok. bathroom was recently remodeled -good. the carpet needs to be changed -bad. there was no thermostat or control on the radiator so it was really warm, but can't complain as i'd rather be warm than cold in early spring there, and the window/door was drafty. the breakfast was pretty good. big selection of baked goods, and there was always whole fruits and some ham and cheese. not sure i would recommend dinner there as it was just ok, but it is convenient. we didn't use their pool, but it did look lovely. aside from being right on the lake, the location is good if you're ok being outside of town and comfortable with the city bus system to get around. if so, it's really quite convenient as the bus stops pretty much right in front of the hotel and the drivers all know the stop by the hotel name. would i stay here again? for the lake, yes. but is there better out there? i'm sure of it.

The location and staff are very good but the hotel is old and in need of renovation. It is 7.5km from the city centre of Bariloche but well serviced by buses every 20 minutes. The rooms are basic with good views across the lake but the TV was not working and the bedding poor to average. Breakfast in the dining room each morning was very good with wide selection of cereals, pastries, etc.... Overall I thought the hotel was just OK but poor value for money compared to some others closer to town
