So welcoming. Nothing seemed to be too much trouble. Relatively easy to get into Avignon and Villeneuve-les-Avignon but so nice to be staying out of the hustle and bustle of the Festival.

So glad we chose this hotel. Had a great four day stay in Avignon which was definitely enhanced by staying at La Roque. A charming hotel with friendly helpful staff who are more than happy to pass on their 'local' knowledge regarding where to eat and visit.

This is a truly lovely hotel - very peaceful with simple but very attractive air conditioned rooms with large comfortable beds and good bathrooms. There is a delightful pool and outdoor and indoor sitting areas in which to relax. Catherine and Dominique are most welcoming and very kind hosts. Nothing is too much trouble.

The owners are a lovely couple... The man always has a beautiful smile on his face and looks at you like he really hopes you're enjoying your stay. Lovely. The staff is very helpful and nice. My kids loved the pool and so did I... In a nice little garden with doves cooing everywhere. We stayed in the family room for four... Room 34.... Perfect - one big bed and two little, great sound proof Windows and air conditioning. It's SO easy to get to Avignon... We went for the July Arts Festival and you can park in the Place iot parking and walked across the bridge into town right to the Palais des Papes. The parking is a 4 minute straight shot down from the hotel by car.... Perfect place if you want some quiet yet still want to enjoy Avignon. Breakfast is lovely... Simple, all the coffee you want, can eat it on their lovely terrace. Merci! We truly enjoyed our stay.

The couple that runs the hotel was very friendly and helpful. The location was convenient to seeing the Provence region and the parking was free and convienent. The room was good sized (large by European standards) and well priced. They are building next door so there is construction noise starting about 7:30.

An extremely friendly atmosphere generated by the owners, Catherine and her husband Dominic, and their staff. Very relaxing with every effort made to make your experience as delightful as possible. A little oasis of peace a couple of miles from the historic glory and hustle and bustle of Avignon. Tremendous and definitely worth revisiting and recommending to friends. It was also a fantastic find at very short notice. Bravo...

Better if you have a car as it is a bit if a way outside Avignon. There are buses down into town but they are not that regular. You could probably walk it in about half an hour. Quiet and the couple that own it are very friendly. There are local bars and restaurants that you can hang out at and are full if locals not full of tourists! The architecture in the local vicinity is both modern and older.

Although we had requested no stairs we were on the second floor up a curved stair case with dodgy wooden decoration pieces for hand rails. the staff explained that Expedia had not sent through a request for no stairs but even though we stayed two nights they made no attempt to reaccomodate us even though they could clearly see the difficulty I was having with the stairs.
the toilet in the bathroom was so small that the door could not be closed and If in fact it was closed the handle prevented the bathroom door from opening

Very nice and comfortable hotel in what seems to be an old, large home with ample parking and a walled compound. Friendly staff/hosts.

Wonderful hosts, very helpful, spacious lovely room and great safe off street parking. Within walking distance of Avignon (down hill 25 mins) but take the bus home. Excellent restaurant 5 mins walk within small shopping area.

Very friendly staff. I had a wonderful stay. The hotel owner was kind enough to drive me to the train station when my cab didn't show.

This location was outside the main city of Avignon. Ideal if you have a car with freeparking. Although on a main road it had two layers of windows which made it almost soundproof. You have air conditioning to adjust the climate in the room. No view from the window, but for a good central location to see surrounding sights it was ideal. Rooms were large and clean, the pool was a welcome relief on hot days. I wouldn't bother with the breakfast as it was very basic. There is a supermarket down the road and several nearby good trestaurants.

Lovely comfortable stay at this small but friendly and very clean hotel. Well located in quiet area, good bus route into Avignon but is also walkable. Good restaurants and supermarket nearby.

This is a small hotel across the river from Avignon in the town of Les Angles. It is easily accessible by car. The owners and the staff were extremely friendly and helpful. They made recommendations for what to see, where to eat, and best places to visit outside of Avignon. All of the recommendations were extremely helpful and added great memories for our vacation.
We stayed for 5 nights and then returned 2 weeks later for one more night. We were greeted like favorite relatives on our return visit. Our rooms were quiet and comfortable. Being a small hotel, the guests would often visit with one another during the morning breakfast.
Although French is mainly spoken, the owner and some members of the staff speak English much better than I speak French. When I stumbled through French, they were kind and understanding.
This was our first visit to Provence. We found all of the towns we visited to be charming and the people jovial. Hotel Roques was the epitome of our experiences in Provence.

The owners go out of thier way to make you feel at home and thier quaint property was a delight . We enjoyed the pool after in the afternoon after sightseeing in the near by towns. We had a wonderful stay and especially appreciate their tip to see the light show at the Church. It was one of my favorite things that we did while on vacation and we would never have known about it without thier recommendation. Breakfast served to us on the patio was also wonderful. Thank you!!

Hotel Roques was very comfortable and welcoming. The proprietors were very friendly, and keen to help and advise about local transport and interesting sights, restaurants etc. The room was well equipped, and the pool clean and well kept. Local bus service to Avignon was reliable. The only issue with the room was that the air conditioning was positioned so that it was blowing full on us at night, so too cold with it on, too hot with it off! But that was not a problem in other rooms apparently.

This hotel is situated is a village across the river from Avignon and next to Villeneuve. The location is best suited to those driving as you are central to many spots found in the Vaucluse. The owners are very amiable and professional. They provided us with excellent restaurant recommendations and placed reservations for us. The rooms are spacious, modern and comfortable.

Very nice hotel. We had a big room at the front on 2nd floor no lift but it was a good stair case. Plenty of parking, gorgeous pool but a bit too cool to use. Very nice hosts.

Service in this hotel was excellent! The beds in our room could have been better, otherwise nothing to complain about. The location is good if you are planning to visit Avignon and nearby cities by car.
