It was a lovely restored historical Hotel Resort in a quiet convenient part of Reno. Rooms were clean, well arranged and up to date. Due to my business stay, I was unable to take advantage of the many amenities available at the Legacy Resort Reno so I cannot comment on them. The personal were pleasant and helpful.

This is a pretty nice place and an easy walk to the river walk, auto museum, a great art museum and some casinos, of course. There are lots of good restaurants nearby, also. The staff was great and responsive to our needs. All good!
3.4
The outside is dingy af but surprisingly the rooms were pretty clean. Weird amenities like no room phone, they communicate via phone app instead.
3.4
Everything was great but I felt like the security staff was hounding me for some reason or at least their presence seemed a little overbearing. I’d imagine they sometimes have their hands full with problematic guests but that’s not me.
The property is definitely old and a bit beat up but I found the room itself to be comfortable and clean but if you flip out if everything isn’t super modern this isn’t the place for you.

Couldn’t find the place !

We had a nice stay. It was quiet. The bed had a sag on my side. The kitchenette was small, but ok. Never used the facilities that I was charged for. Just an extra expense I did not anticipate. Would stay there again.
3.4
No bedding in room for futon. We had six people total and it was chilly, they would one give us 1 extra blanket. Wr couldn’t get the thermostat to go up. And we found a cockroach near the bathroom/kitchen
3.4
Very good place to stay. We would stay again.

We?
Had a excellent stay.
We might do it again. Someti'm trying to stay there again.

Check in was easy, I asked for the bedding for the fold out couch to be delivered to our room but it did not arrive within the first 3 hours so I asked for it again along with 2 extra blankets. One pillow, and 4 sheets was delivered. The third trip to the front desk ended up with one available blanket that was miraculously found. Our room needed help, there was a stain by one bed, the carpet needed repair, one chair was all ripped up, missing shelving in the fridge, marks on the walls, blow dryer falling off the wall, water damage to baseboards. The carpet by the elevator was a tripping hazard. The tv worked, the internet worked, a nice stove, dishes and pots were available. Adding some sort of side table to the beds would have been nice, but unfortunately there was not room. For the price it was good.

This is definitely an old property, with some things that need fixing (sliding glass and screen door. Weird design and quirks too. However, for what it is, we were impressed with little things— the towels were presented as if this was a fancy hotel (washcloths folded like flowers and tucked in, tissue presented like flowers, toilet paper end folded in nicely, etc). Everything was as pictured and clean and neat as an aging property can be. Good value for the money. Walking distance to Truckee River and downtown. We will stay here again if we’re going for value. It’s also pet friendly which is great.

It was a Phenomenal stay, with Easy Check in even After Hours, I Highly Recommend this Facility for Traveling!!!
3.4
Out of the tourist area.

The place was not what I thought it was,,, there was not a couch like the pictures showed, it was smaller then the pictures . The place was clean, the staff was very nice.Dont stay here is a Rave is going on downtown! I heard it for 2 days!
3.4
The exhaust fan in bathroom was very loud. Liked the location of property by the Truckee River.

The photos are filtered! This property is run down and disgusting! We had bed bugs, no hot water and the indoor pool had litter everywhere. The staff are all very young and make you feel like you’re bothering them. The elevator is terrifying bc it’s slow and shakes. DO NoT STAY HERE!!!

It was fabulous

Property has the amenities every o e wants just needs a little detail work to bring in more guests!
3.4
Really a great place to bring the kids. Lot's for them to do. Was a little worried that our room had a pull-out bed but it turned out to be comfortable.
3.4
I love this place great value great staff
3.4
It was very hot in the room, air conditioner was now cooling very well, even though they brought up a couple of fans it was stiil hot.
3.4
The room key did not work twice then we were told they would come in and fix very early in a.m. The next room had no air conditioning. We are in Reno! Plus a very very sketchy neighborhood. Called and also stopped at the resort and the manager was never in to visit with him. We did not have a vehicle so we were scared at the resort
3.4
The room was clean and tidy. The property is kind of run down, but serviceable. Our AC was not working properly, though. They sent a guy over twice to fiddle with the thermostat, but we eventually had to ask them to just bring a couple of fans, which they finally did.

For the price, this was an amazing stay for my 6-person family! We booked the 2-room suite with the kitchenette. Making our food in-room (and burgers on the patio grill) saved us so much money! The pool, mini-golf, and proximity to downtown are great. There were some broken things (blinds, door stopper, burner on stove), and the parking garage didn't fit our Suburban with bike rack on back, so that was a pain, but staff was nice to help with that.
3.4
No phone in room
3.4
Did not provide enough sheets, blankets or pillows. Mattress was paper thin. No clerk available to address issues.
Desk clerk cannot check you in. You are told to go to their website, which did not function, so you are forced to go third party, this creates a situation where refund is next to impossible. Checked out in the middle of the night on the first nine get of a three day booking. Charged for all three. The place is falling apart and no efforts are made to repair anything. Microwave and TV were not working. Toilet is small and low.
3.4
I wasnt sure what i would get for the price, but I was more than pleasantly surprised. The room was spacious, the deck pretty private, and it was very clean.
I love the story of the hotel. The goofy owner is on tv when first turned on. I encourage you to watch it. The employees back it up. Can you do any better than vacation with a cause?
Don't hesitate to.book.

Love this place always stay here when I go to reno

It’s a mature building but clean inside. Samsung, LG and Kenmore Appliances, not you no make Walmart crap. The folks at the Desk at check-in were polite, helpful and professional. I’ve been spending one or two nights a year in Reno for the last seven years and this has been my most pleasant day. There are some real dumps in this town. The neighborhood is improving. The Park is GREAT and a 3 minute walk.

Water damage - severe

Just neighbors
No big deal
3.4
Just Fine. Room OK. Kitchen is equipped

When checking in, it is a requirement to have a credit card on file. The room was paid for in advance and I didn’t want to use a card. I offered cash;$100.00 and it was not accepted. Legacy would not work with me,so we didn’t stay. Would NEVER RECOMMEND LAGACY VACATION RESORT!
3.4
Clean and quite.
3.4
Staff were friendly, grill had no propane, large burner on stove didn’t work, air conditioners / heater not working properly, tv remote wasn’t working, dewelling exterior needs re-painting and touch up, un inspected so called mechanical man knocks at your door at 10pm unannounced, gym facilities was good, other then that the location was prime.
3.4
Okay for the price
3.4
A little dated, but clean. Staff was very friendly.

This was a great place for me and my daughter at a tournament. We could make breakfast and dinner on the stove (fried eggs, , oatmeal, can of soup) instead of going out all the time. The room was spacious. It's a quiet hotel close to the casinos, a grocery store nearby (5 minutes walking). The building itself is older, but in good condition and clean. They have recycling bins in the rooms! We didn't try the pool or the gym, but they looked nice and usable. Would stay again.
3.4
Dirty pan in the cupboard, shower a bit funky, no dish soap or scrubbie to clean dishes. Worked out well for my needs, was close to Starbucks, nice to walk nearby by the river. But the property overall was a bit trashy.
3.4
It has a full kitchen which is nice. Single studio doesn't have much counter space. Other good.
Most 2 inconvenient aspects:
1. Thin walls (easily hear neighboring rooms which can potentially make it difficult when people are watching TV on loud volume).
2. Lack of control over thermostat. Reno has erratic weather. One the weekend it snowed a little and then hot (above mid 70s) in the week. The staff insisted that since there's only central heating/cooling and since "technically" the season is still summer, there would only be the option to HEAT or keep off. The room gets VERY stuffy and they have limited standing fans. Poor sleep (especially for longer stays) in this condition. There is a netted door you can open through the balcony but that can be a security concern also, it's weird to have that open when you're sleeping... easily someone can see in.
These are the 2 main things that would prevent me from coming back. Especially the thermostat one.
