Check in was easy, room was large and had all amenities I needed. Shower was nice and powerful. Breakfast was buffet style, fresh pastries and had nice tea's. TV I couldn't connect to the internet but wasn't really an issue. Not the best view of a train track and overhead bridge but didn't bother.

The hotel is in an interesting location, seemingly uninviting at first, but after a day or two, once you become familiar with it and its surroundings, it proves to be an excellent choice for anyone attending a conference at the nearby Lyon Convention Center. The staff are kind, and the rooms are clean and well-maintained.

service is nice, but the toillet smell so bad, and too close to rail way lots of noise in the morning 6am
1.5 / 5.0
Quite noisy due to the proximity of the railway tracks, cleanliness is questionable, and breakfast are really basics. Prices were relatively high for what it is.

For money paid it was ok. Of course the room and especially the bathroom are small, but it's a 3 star hotel, it was expected. The staff was very nice and helpful, for this I give 5 stars.

It was walking distance from convention center.
Thus, convenient and reception was kind and friendly.

Very friendly staff, room is basic but super clean and spacious. It was also nice and quiet when I stayed there. All you need when you travel for work.

Simple accommodations. Was staying at the hotel during a very warm series of days and rooms not well ventilated/air conditioned

Very close to conference centre, a nice walk across the Rhone brings you there

The property was very close to a convenience store, pharmacy, and restaurants. The restaurant on-site was exceptional!

Clean and modern rooms at a good price. The hotel is just outside of central Lyon but with good connections/ distance to the central parts. A perfect budget+ stay.

Had a great stay at the ibis. I was here for a tradeshow so the accommodation in the city was really expensive but the ibis was still a reasonable price.
Bed was comfortable and the room was clean.

L'hotel a besoin de renovation. Les chambres sont dépassées et le lit assez dur.

I was in one of the newly renovated room which had a very space-saving layout and felt bigger than it probably was. Price is very good, and its location perfect if you attend an event at the centre de congrès. Also, a nearby busstop will get you to 1ER / 3E Arr in 10-15 minutes.

The hotel is under going renovations on the 5th and 6th floor. This means drilling and noise from 9am-6pm. Not ideal if you want to work from the room.
The restaurant is good and worth a meal and all the staff were friendly but the hotel itself is old and tired and not upto the usual ibis standard.

Our stay in Lyon was very brief but this hotel satisfied our needs. It was clean, with a friendly, professional staff, nice breakfast, parking, and a bar to top off the evening with a night cap. The only downside was that it was a bit further from the center of town than we would like for our next visit.

Staff was not very nice. Room was very basic and not very clean. The hotel is in an area a decent distance from the heart of the city. You get what you pay for. It is a place to stay and worth the price you pay.

Nice hotel only let down by the lack of good restraints shops and bars in the area

I went there to attend a conference. It was a very convenient spot - just 10 mins away from the conference centre. Given the price of the room, I was pleasantly surprised. It is very clean and comfortable. Only small thing was I am used to having a cup of coffee first thing in the morning and i had to go down to the restaurant to have my coffee. Other than this, I would definitely recommend this.

It’s a discount hotel ... it is what it is. Room is cheap, there is free parking, Wi-Fi is fine, and can order meals relatively late. For a 12 hour overnight stay, it is fine, but wouldn’t stay if we were hoping to explore. You aren’t excited to be in Lyon staying here. Local spot is a bit dingy, long crossing on the road to the park is a bit sketchy, room is small, cheap materials, and some clientele are questionable (drunk man reeking of alcohol in elevator...). Best asset to the hotel was the exceptionally friendly and welcoming staff ... if not for them, would be a lower rating.
TIP: Hotels.com special requests do not get transferred with an online booking ... we requested a crib for our 1 year old, but staff was not notified and there were none available by the time we arrived.

Very close to the Centre Congress and accessible to buses for downtown. Very nice and helpful staff. Next time I will bring my sneakers - beautiful running paths / trails and nearby parks

It was fine for what I needed - a place to stay close to the convention centre. I needed to leave at 5am so the night before I went and paid for the breakfast and the city tax, however when I went to leave in the morning, the attendant told me I was required to pay for the room (which had already been charged on my credit card as it was booked on Expedia). This was extremely frustrating, and probably not his fault as he was just relating information in the computer. He did let me leave (after much disagreement) after taking my contact details, but I just found the whole thing confrontational and difficult as I was trying to leave on time to catch a train. Not sure what happened, I assume they worked it out on their end as I haven't heard anything, but an unpleasant end.

Located in the middle of nowhere, but good staff and proximity of good restaurant "chez marcel" makes it a good business hotel.

My room overlooked a major road and a four track railway line, both of which were busy 24 hours a day. Noise from these was not a problem if the double - double glazed windows were kept closed. However since the air conditioning in my room (and in the hotel generally) was only minimally effective I had to have the window open to stay moderately comfortable while sleeping. Staffing levels in the 4 days I was there seemed to be rather low, so check-in, check-out and bar service was slow at busy times.
On the positive side the restaurant served good well-priced food in the evenings, and a particularly good and extensive buffet breakfast. (Not good coffee though).
