We stayed for 2 days as were trekking about an hour out of the city. We had not been to this town before, so woshed to give it a go. Pleasant hotel. Bar and restaurant staff very friendly. Room a bit small and dated. Unsure if Expedia Diamond VIP meant anything.
4.2
A beautiful Spanish hacienda and lovely grounds. Just enough out of Antequera to be quiet. Nothing nearby.

Everything was VERY satisfactory. Have stayed here a number of times and will continue to so do when in the area. I particularly like the way the hotel is presented with "old world " charm , and the service and food have always been to a good standard. Why look elsewhere??
4.2
Really enjoyed our stay here. Easy parking (free), great dining room, courteous staff, comfortable beds, pool access (during summer).
4.2
It was nice place, friendly staff with large bedroom and bathroom. One big disappointment was ads and images pro it two pools, hot tubs sauna- everyone if these was closest at same time!! Come on its end May !! The gym is enormous and well run.

Excellent does not cut it. Ideal location for business travellers, perfect get-away for leisure travelers. Kitchen is good, bar is good and above all, the personnel is very kind and helpful. Thanks for having me!

Lovely traditional hotel, big bedroom, lovely entrance courtyard. Would stay again.

Great old school Spanish country hotel right on the edge of Antequera, beautiful building, great patios, superb wine list, etc

We were very disappointed with our experience at this hotel . The floors in some of the bedrooms (ours 102) had been recently polished and the smell was unbearable and offensive - we had to move out at one o clock in the morning to another room. We were first offered next door (101)- which had the same problem ( room door and patio door left wide open when we were leaving - no guests ???).
We moved to room 109 which was fine.
First time ever we have complained . We were compensated with free breakfast and a bar bill of 15 euros. They said they couldn't refund because already paid through 3rd party Hotel.Com ?

Spacious, clean room with great Spanish ambience. Quiet and restful. Plentiful parking, good wifi.
4.2
Lovely traditional hotel. A little out of town but a lovely building and comfortable rooms.
4.2
An absolutely beautiful finca in a beautiful setting. Let cation was easy to find and we had an excellent
Meal in beautiful surroundings in the evening. Wished we could have stopped longer
4.2
Great character building, with interesting history but all modern facilities. Good service and nice food in the restaurant.

Stayed here overnight on a bicycle tour. For us the location was great but if you need to be close to amenities you would need a car or take a regular taxi.Main town around 5min drive from hotel.
Check in was efficient and welcoming.
They also had a secure unit for our bicycle storage.
The pool and spa were an added bonus but a tip for the management spa area needs some refurbishment as a number of the spa stations were either not working properly or not at all and the tiles in areas needed replacing.
The food and service in the restaurant area was good and reasonably priced.
Our double room was comfortable but we were disappointed that we dud not get the garden view room as stated in our booking, but this was not a problem as we were only overnighting for 1 night.
WiFi was on the whole quite weak but stronger in the lobby area.
The hotel is of a typical Spanish style with lovely indoor courtyard leading to the lobby and reception area.
The hotel grounds were pretty and well kept.
All in all a good stay.

Not very exciting. As we live only 16km away we were looking forward to a night here to see what one of our local hotels was like. It was disappointing and not representative of the wonderful city at all. Everything apart from the access to swimming pool was acceptable. Thats the word i feel i can use. The staff were there. I must say the request for an extra pillow was quickly sorted so housekeeping was good. Room old fashioned . Heater in bathroom didnt work except for blowing out cold air. Room was cold. Wifi didnt reach the room except for near door. Reception area atrium and bar quite atmospheric. Seemed to be too many staff hanging around bar, but it didnt lead to friendly service. I had to ask for some olives to go with the wine we purchased. Not at all representative of the lovely bars available in the area. Receptionist did his job. When we left on Monday morning he didnt ask if we had enjoyed our stay. Large swimming pool, freezing cold, at health club next door. Changing rooms need upgrade as does smaller spa pool, which badly needs repairs. Disappointing.

The building itself is a lovely converted finca, from the outside very attractive and the inside courtyard when you enter the building is also beautiful. However, it has a really cold feel to it, the staff all seem like they are just going through the motions, and just doing their job. There are no smiles, no real customer service and friendliness (they are not rude, just not interested) and the place is in need of some real tlc. The plants dotted around are half dead, the rooms are not homely and welcoming, cleaning gear just left around outside rooms. Cannot comment on the food, as the restaurant on both nights we were ther had only one couple eating and lacked any atmosphere at all. It is such a shame, because if the owner/management cared, it coud easily become a fantastic place to stay, as I'm sure it once was.One more point is that I dont understand why they dont run a shuttle into town. It is only a few minutes away, but Antequera is not an easy place to find parking, and it would be a great service to provide throughout the day/night.
4.2
A building of character set in large grounds with amplefree car parking. The biggest bonus is a wonderful indoor swimming pool (25 m approx) and adjacent spa with a large warm pool (well over 30 degrees), big enough to swim around, and featuring several poweful water jets that provide invigorating massages on many parts of the body and legs. Be aware that swimming caps are required.
The only downside is the distance from the town centre (about 2 km) so you really do need to drive in.
4.2
Lovely old finca. Handy location for the dolmens, a short taxi/drive to the town.

Good location for Antequera’s main sites, and fig-laden trees on route (September) that you can stop and pick from if you’re tall enough.
My room wasn’t that nice (215), a family room. The bed wasn’t comfortable, and I’m not a fan of the bolster pillow, and there was no comfortable seating (lounge area downstairs though). The room itself was dark, mainly overlooking the car park and the factory beyond. WiFi only available in a corner on the opposite side of the room to the writing desk. I asked, there wasn’t a room with a better view available.
But the room rate does include access to the pool and spa - this makes it well worth the stay. The indoor pool is 25m (you need a swim cap though) with wide lanes. It was a real treat. There is a smaller, outdoor, pool which I didn’t use as the weather wasn’t clement.
The spa is basic with a plunge pool and massage jets, which was great, and a sauna and steam room. I had no interest in the gym but it had several areas and looked well-stocked with cardio and weights. Classes are from the Les Mills suite and even though they’re taught in Spanish, if you know the format of the class there is no difficulty following. These too are included in the room rate. This facility is open from 0700 - 2300 on weekdays (which is ace) and 1000 to 2000 at the weekend (I think).
Skip the breakfast and go elsewhere but do go to the restaurant; a lovely covered outdoor extension - my black pig fillet steak was delicious!! Enjoy!

Lovely building and bar staff were friendly, Very efficient reception but could have been a little more friendly and welcoming on arrival by smiling. Lovely hotel but out of town a little so a taxi or car in to town was essential.........good breakfast and good value, the biggest inconvenience was the exit light above the room door that was on all night so prevented any proper darkness in the bedroom.
No vegetarian menu offered......Andalucian hotels really need to address this lack!
4.2
A charming, spotless hotel, good value for money with excellent food, service and facilities. Staff could not have been more helpful. Would certainly recommend
4.2
Lovely hotel, only slight downside is sufficiently far out of Antequerra on a busy road with no pavement so not nice to walk into town.
4.2
Lovely spa resort. The inn is beautiful and all you could want it to be. The restaurant is terrific with a expansive wine list covering every price point. I highly recommended this hotel as long as you don’t want to roam the local streets. However, the inn has everything so why bother.
4.2
The hotel is beautiful inside and out, extremely clean and well kept. Its very comfortable and service is superb. The free use of the fitness centre and spa is more than worth the cost of the room! The evening meal we had in the restaurant was excellent and the portions huge. My only criticisms is the walls in the room had a lot of scuff marks so it needs painting, and the sauna and jacuzzi weren't working, but the spa pool with different jets and the steam room more than made up for it - staff were aware of the problem. Also, with windows open there is traffic noise. It is in a good location for exploring the area, but a car is essential as there is nothing in walking distance. Highly recommended
4.2
Comfortable hotel with a real spanish feel. Spa facilities were excellent. Not within walking distance of main town.
4.2
It was ok but further from town then we expected. The pool etc. are in a sports complex in hotel grounds so you have to walk across car park to access.
4.2
Spanish addresses are slightly difficult to fathom and the hotel didn't register on our sat nav but we found it with not too much difficulty. Our room overlooked a small garden and the carpark and function area. There was a wedding taking place in an adjacent marquee but we were not disturbed by any late night noise. The room was comfortable and with decent facilities. We thought the dinner was pretty mediocre but overall the hotel was reasonable value.
4.2
This is most certainly a 'must visit' hotel. It takes us back to the days of traditional Spanish service: nothing was too much trouble for the staff; the hotel itself is styled in the cool, traditional Andalucian way; and the food was excellent. Although it might be seen as an 'en route' stopover, the fitness and pool facilities are excellent and would offer a wonderfully enjoyable family break.
We will most certainly return!

About the only fault with this place is the location. It's a little bit out of town - certainly not walkable. However, this does mean there is ample parking - something in short supply in Antequera. The rooms are very good, bathrooms excellent, and staff in the bar very friendly. There is also a health club next door which is free for guests, with a fantastic pool which is solar heated and not full of chlorine. Ideal if you just want to do lengths and they're very tolerant of children there as well. Didn't eat in the restaurant at all so can't vouch for the quality of the food.
