The staff is very nice but the hotel is not as described online . Parking seems limited , area appears not very safe, and not many restaurants near area .

Room was dirty, trash on bed, tweakers all around. Definitely not visiting again.

* dog friendly hotel without any grass or gravel for dogs to relieve themselves, only concrete
* dirty yellow stain on the “fresh” linens
* 1 inch gap between bottom of front door and door frame
* AC which was only blown up into the curtains, was sweating profusely for the 5 minutes we were in the room
* yellow and brown stains on nearly every wall
* your neighbors will be drug addicts who walk the street and shout at no one
* place on the wall for an iron, but no iron
* 4 very small, lumpy pillows on bed
i hate to be that guy, but we asked for a refund and went somewhere else after 5 minutes in the room. thankfully, the manager allowed us to cancel the reservation, even after checking in. the management does what they can, but i would seriously consider looking at satellite photos of this location from Google Maps/Earth before booking here.
our rate was 400 for a room for 2 nights, on the weekend. (do not expect that price to be reflected in the room/property)

Someone walked into my room - so that was wild

The staff friendly very. Welcoming

Staff was nice throughout the stay. My family and I had stayed for two nights and almost considered leaving after the first. While trying to get my mother registered for the room, a homeless woman said that she needed a key to "her room" and once she was asked for her room number she said she didn't know what room she was in. The staff then told us that she's said that multiple times and never has a reservation. The first night the dog in the room above us was barking ALL NIGHT, without any sign of stopping. On top of that, the police showed up because some man who was under the influence backed his truck into another persons truck and kept trying to back up, not realizing that he was hitting another car. Speaking of the parking lot, all the spots face the same direction, so once you pull into a spot, you have to back out almost to the road just to leave. That night genuinely scared my family and I, but we stayed both nights. The morning of checkout there was a homeless woman sitting by the entrance of the motel. I was told that she was showing her bare bottom to passing cars, standing in the street, and throwing construction cones at cars on the road. My mother did not feel comfortable staying there any longer and we left at 8:30 in the morning. As someone who's 5'6", the shower head had to be almost parallel to be somewhat useable and has 4 settings. normal, which will not hit you if you're over 5', pressure washer, pressure washer 2, and fire hose, the last 3 HURT.

The hotel was not the look online

Nice senic room. Staff was very nice and friendly. No issues they dont bother you. Might be a older mottel but room was clean
3.2
Perfect location centrally located. Near shopping apparel and groceries. Cute shops and late night cocktails

The hotel was adequate but some guest had a barking dog which was surprising and annoying. Several homeless on and around the hotel I will be skipping this location next visit to El Cajon.

When you look up this property online it’s deceiving. It looks decent from the pictures and they charge more than surrounding motels, making one think that it’ll be a nice place. It is not. This place was disgusting. Left over spilt beer next to the refrigerator, sheets and blankets were gross, I didn’t want to get in the shower without shower shoes on. Luckily we brought our slippers to wear around the room. People were running around the balconies and slamming doors till around 3am. Over all it was terrible.
3.2
The room was okay not the best but okay I still had to wipe down the bathroom a bit; when I booked it it said breakfast included and there was nothing and the clerk did not want to answer any questions; so we just checked out the next day and left.
3.2
No coffee machine or kleenx available. No hair dryer. The placed smelled of stail tobacco smoke. It is located around a vast amount of homeless people. I did not gee save walking 1 blocks to a Jack n Box.
3.2
The area was a bit sketchy but it wasn’t the motel’s fault. The room was fine and the bed comfortable.

Run !! Do not stay here. I rented a room yesterday and I left 10 mins in. The front desk person didn’t make me feel safe, his conversation was inappropriate. He also had given me a key to my room and when I grabbed my bags from my car and began to walk up stairs to my room he was already up there waiting on me and opened the door for me with his universal key, I didn’t ask for help, it was creepy, he gave me a corner room when I walked in the window was all the way open with no screen, there was burns on the furniture and bedding, it smelled terrible and the door hinge was loose, there was a lot of random people outside, people driving up, it’s obvious that many of these people were on drugs, I am not from the area and I was there with my cousin who was going to have surgery the following morning at a nearby hospital. I was there for 10 mins and my instincts kicked in to get the hell out of there, we didn’t feel safe!!
I hope Expedia reads this review and gives me a refund.. I had to pay another $180 to stay at holiday inn. I also hope they take this hotel off there site as an option to stay, it’s not far to the people who are not familiar with the area to have to pay this money to stay at an unsafe hotel.

Needed a place to lay our heads after a long day at a softball tournament. Expensive nightly rate, bad area, people sleeping along the sidewalk and in abandoned cars in the parking lot, room is run down and dingy, No one available at the front desk to check out, mattresses were hard as rocks. Clueless why I paid $300 for this room. Nowhere near the beach or in any desirable neighborhood.
3.2
Staff was using bug spray when we checked in. The made a copy of my driver's license- he stated that it is CA law. The room was 82 degrees when we walked in. There is a hole in the bathroom ceiling where a light used to be. The pictures and reviews on your website are misleading of what the property actually is. I will be calling you for a refund.

I just stayed one night but I achieved the quiet and peaceful stay I was looking for.
3.2
The manager was wonderful and very accommodating. 4 police cars showed up and entered a room near us at night. Freaked us out a bit. Not a nice area, but if this is where you need to be, then it is what it is. Crazy expensive for the location
3.2
Gang trouble in area.
3.2
Noisy during the night. They allow pets. We heard dogs barking most of the night. Shampoo bottle in shower was empty, I normally travel with my own products, but this was an emergency trip. Mattress and frame were sitting on metal box, frame stuck out too far. Hit my knees several times. They have security in the parking lot at night. Not sure if this is a positive or a negative. The area seems okay.

They were very nice at the front desk

ISSUE 1) While I'm outside smoking a stranger walks up and offered me $5 to let him shower in my room, ugh, very scary. ISSUE 2) I'm a female who's checking in alone the room has 1 of the 2 windows BARRED. The window is in the bathroom, tiny, and on second floor FACING THE ROOF A EMPTY BUILDING. Should she feel safe? ISSUE 3) I paid $130 for 1 night on a Thursday and their credit card machine was down, I had to walk to the store around the corner. I saw it when I was dropped off. When I got back the hotel clerk asked if they had an ATM because he never knew. ISSUE 4) After I got off work I stopped at the front to ask for clean towels, when the maid brought them she started had me put them down outside the door. She started counting dirty towels 1 by 1, like she had an attitude because she had to do it. After she gave me only the clean ones that matched the dirty ones about how many towels I returned and how many she can give me.That was unnecessary and she was out of line. If it's such a big a deal for 1 towel then when I asked for a new set that should've been made clear. Now idk if this place is packed for holidays and/or weekends but I know it's expensive and they should make investments in things like a shampooer with detachable parts for the curtains; some toilet seats; get new windows. If this place was cheap I would understand. But I have to deal with it and for $130/night. Like a guy really walked up and offered me $5 to shower in my room, not ok

We booked this hotel with hotels.com when we arrived the woman rudely told us that they have no rooms available for us and that they overbooked the rooms. By the time we figured this out all the hotels were sold out. We didnt actually find and get into a room until 5am the next morning.
They tried to book me into a horrible hotel for the same price i was paying at a nicer hotel. Then when i got there the hotel charge me another $100 early check-in rate.
Hotels.com did nothig to compensate me for their error. I will be checking the reviews to make sure mine was posted.

First the room was suppose to be one of my free nights and the app. Messed up and the agent for hotels.com said oh i cant do anything about that next time call and book with us not the app. Then the hotel should not be called a wydham travel lodge its dirty smelly and. People are up all night i almost just went home but because i had to pay for it i stayed the remote didnt work the shower head was 5ft my husband is 6ft

This hotel was sketchy! Drug addicts were basically in all rooms except ours! Sheets were stained, mattress cover had blood and other stains on it. Barely any parking. Druggies screaming and yelling at each other constantly! Would not recommend!
3.2
At least I had a roof over my head to spend the 1 night
3.2
Close to restaurants, very nice rooms, friendly staff
3.2
Roaches in the room. Rude staff when I advised them with photos and a video. Uncomfortably and anxious the whole night. Parents night out ruined for my husband and me.
3.2
Front desk clerks were nice. The room is probably the most horrible we’ve stayed in 47 years together. Room disgusting. They need to raze this hotel and rebuild. We will never stay the again. Seeing the Wyndham brand; we’ll book elsewhere in the future. I had to kill a cockroach in the bathroom. There was only a top sheet. We found a thin blanket during the night.
