We had a wonderful stay! Will definitely consider staying here again on our next visit to Venice!

On arriving, after my partner had already check in, I was told that the room has a double bed (marital bed in Italian). It’s discriminatory to have to explain to the staff that we are a (gay) couple, as a straight couple would have never had to. This is just shameful in this day and age and in such a popular destination!
Also most rooms are next to the reception or the very noisy front door and therefore not quiet. Our room was very dark and hot, though nicely appointed. Breakfast was great and the breakfast staff fantastic, but all tables are weirdly set back, When the could be placed to the front of the room to face the Grand Canal. The approach to the hotel through the smallest lane is not brilliant.

Wonderful location. Attentive staff. Very nice complimentary breakfast. Beautifully decorated. Shopping and restaurants nearby.

Incredible service and hospitality. Loved the team here - made us feel like family in a luxury hotel.
The hotel is easy to get to by water taxi, but the 'land' entrance opens up to a very narrow alley (just enough for 1 person to walk) of around 50 meters till you get to you the main street.

A bit difficult to find, but a very nice place with excellent service and friendly staff. The bedroom was large and the bathroom was high end. We enjoyed drinks on the second floor balcony where the bar is located. Use your GPS to navigate the area, but in walking distance to everything.

Great location and service. Clean and very comfortable. Good breakfast. Take a water taxi to/ from airport or train station. Besides that, you can walk everywhere else.
4.7
Location was great. The little ally way that you take to get into the back door was a bit scary the first time down it. We weren't sure we were going the right way, so a little more light and a few more signs would have helped. Would have liked a balcony.

Lovely room great working ac and breakfast complete with Prosecco !!

Beautiful hotel - very well designed and right on the Grand Canal. You get the real Venetian experience. Highly recommend forking out for the water taxi arrival if you’re lucky and it’s quiet you can get a seat on the terrace in the bar area overlooking the canal. Some have mentioned finding it from the street difficult but we had no problems - the higgledy piggledy streets are just what Venice is about. If you don’t get lost you’re missing out in our view!!

Amazing Hotel right on the main waterway.
This is a beautiful hotel with an amazing staff.
It was our 30th anniversary and we couldn’t have asked for a nicer place to stay.
This property is close to everything.
Breakfast in the morning was exceptional as well.
Highly recommend this hotel.

The location is good for sightseeing. The staff were sparse in number but very helpful and friendly. It seemed like an extraordinarily expensive B and B rather than a hotel. There was a bar but itt was empty and dark. A gin and tonic cost 15 euros. There was no atmosphere of warmth and welcoming. My room already costing 300 euros a night was shabby. The wardrobe was ricketty with kdoor knobs missing. Breakfast was served in the bar. All cold nothing except the coffee was served cooked or hot. KAs soon as I was shown my room I was invited to take an upgrade for a further 80 euros a night. Not my idea of luxury.

Fantastic hotel right in the heart of the main area for eating and drinking.
4.7
Not exactly the most convenient location but everything else was excellent! Friendly and nice staff, clean room, good breakfast, nice bar, perfect view etc. If you don’t mind an extra 2-3mins of walking to places, this is definitely the place to stay in Venice!
4.7
We loved everything about the hotel. The location was perfect, the staff were incredibly helpful and very efficient.. superb.
4.7
Lovely boutique hotel. Very stylish Art Deco. Very welcoming.
4.7
This hotel was absolutely amazing! It was right on the canal and nice and quiet at the same time. There is a great second floor bar with a few chairs outside to overlook the canal. It’s weird getting to the hotel as you go through an ally so ask for directions but don’t let that worry you, this place is amazing! Would stay here again in a second

Finding a hotel that has everything you are looking for is difficult. This hotel and the staff certainly try however. It was clean, the staff extremely accommodating and the bed very comfortable. The breakfast was also very good. Please keep in mind that it’s Venice. Water when standing for a long time has a certain odor and occasionally this odor permeated the room. Not pleasant but we were rarely in the room. I suggest investing in dehumidifiers. Overall a very pleasant stay.

Very nice and clean hotel. Excellent service and breakfast. Very modern in construction. The location is very good, however if you take a water taxi from airport, there is some struggle in walking from taxi stop to the hotel. This is true for most places in Venice. Overall a very good place.

We were back at this hotel a year after our previous stay. The hotel is absolutely stunning. Our room was a perfect sanctury with a comfy bed and the best rain shower that brought me back to life after a cold day outside. The lounge area has beautiful views of the Grand Canal. Some rooms are facing the grand canal as well, others face a smaller side canal. I can go through features and amenities, but the thing I will remember most is the feel of tranquility and peace that this exquisite hotel gives you. It’s a perfect place to relax and recharge before storming the crowded streets of Venice.

Great hotel, staff were all exceptional and location works really well!

hotel owner and reception staff very friendly and helpful from the start. Their recommendations for the best views and restaurants right on the money. You can wander all day knowing this hotel is within 5 mins from a Vaporetto stop-Toma so quick to jump back for a siesta and freshen up before going out to dinner. Lovely breakfast with your table covered in luscious fruit and pastries which we never ventured past but you can order other dishes if you wish. would definitely go back as our central Venezia pad!

Arrived by water taxi direct from airport to the front door on the Grand Canal. , greeted by super friendly staff.. Room was contemporary , very clean and peaceful. We had room 18.which has a side view to the grand canal but direct views to another canal to the side.. Really very nice.. We felt like part of their family after a few days. Very personal as only 18 rooms.. Location was perfect for vaporettas(water bus) local shops. Walking distance to Rialto Bridge and Mercato. There is a rear entrance that is tricky to find at first, buy hey, it's what Venice is all about.. Explore, enjoy,

We had a great stay at the Palazzo Barbarigo. We arrived earlier than the official check in time but were welcomed by the staff and shown around the hotel. We did arrive by water taxi to the front door so didn't have the issue of finding the secretive backdoor which is easy to find once you know where you are. We walked almost everywhere with the Rialto Bridge only a 10 min walk away. The traghetto across to San Marco is only a couple of minutes around the corner or the San Toma vaporetto stop is only 5 mins in the same direction (follow the signs as it is hidden down a narrow alleyway).
I had booked one of the junior suites as a special treat so we were in Room 9 which had views over the Canal Grande. A lovely room with a large bed, flat screen tv and bathroom with a walk in shower. Breakfast was great but we did have scrambled eggs a couple of times at €5 each. Not a bad price. In the evenings we did make use of the balcony off the bar area even though it was a bit chilly but we made use of the blankets that were available.
All in all, a great holiday. Thanks.

My wife and I really had a very comfortable stay at the hotel. I call hotel from train for direction of the hotel from Venice train station. Gentleman Mr. Christiano (not sure of his name spelling ) guided us to reach the water bus station close to the hotel. On reaching there he came out and met us close to the station and guided us to the hotel. As many of the hotels approach in Venice is through narrow lanes. On reaching the hotel we were very quickly and efficiently register and shown to our room. The reception area was very clean and have pleasant decor. Our bedroom was big enough. very clean and comfortable. Bathroom was also very clean with good size standing shower. The manager Mr. Daniel ( again not sure of correct name spelling) was very helpful and gave us important information on places of interest, where they are located and how to reach there as well as other related information. Hotel serve continental breakfast at the hotel
on the table which include variety of bread, fresh fruits, cheese, jam, juice, cereal, pastries, tea, coffee. The Hotel is located right on Grand canal. We have enjoyed our stay and will stay there when ever we go again to Venice and also recommend our friends.

Good hotel, close to town, back entrance little bit to small, but it's anyway good

We stayed here mid October in room 18 which had two side windows overlooking the side canal. The room was long and narrow but with ample room. Large bed with side tables, cabinet which housed mini bar, dressing table with chair but unfortunately no socket for hairdryer. The only place to dry hair in front of a mirror was in the en suite which would be quite warm after showering. All staff were very pleasant & extremely helpful. Breakfast was meats & cheese, pastries, selection of bread rolls, jam, butter & a large plate of fruit, teas & coffees. This was ample to set you up for a long day of exploring. We felt the only thing missing from this hotel was evening dining facilities as after a long day of exploring the streets of Venice all we wanted to do was eat & relax either on the small balcony overlooking the Grand Canal or in the lovely bar/lounge area.
Arrival by water taxi is a must, aside from the fact that you will be hard pushed to find the back entrance to the hotel the first sailing down the Grand Canal is out of this world!!!

This hotel was fabulous the room was spectacular and the staff gracious and helpful.

Amazing hotel, in perfect location I would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone.

We had an absolutely amazing short break in Venice and the hotel was perfect. The staff were lovely and the bedroom was amazing.
The small bar balcony is just large enough for two and has a stunning view of the Grand canal, it is the perfect romantic spot... But everyone does want it (you'll see why). We found ourselves sat on it every day with a glass of prosecco.
I would advise getting a taxi boat to the hotel if the budget can stretch a bit. It's a fantastic way to start your holiday on your own private boat and takes you straight to the hotel reception. Without it I think we would have gotten pretty confused trying to find the entrance within the Venice maze.
4.7
We couldn't be happier with our choice of hotel with this one! It's position, plush interior, quality of food, service, everything! We couldn't imagine staying anywhere better in Venice..most certainly not in this price range and we are hard to please!
4.7
Very enjoyable stay. Hotel always clean and staff always helpful. Room was turned down pretty much every time we left the room and often chocolates left on our pillow in the evening. Deco won't be to everyone's taste but I really felt it added to the atmosphere and stay.
4.7
very difficult to find if walking, but other than that an excellent hotel. dedicated staff, good breakfast.
4.7
Truely excellent hotel. Staff friendly and helpful.

This is the most beautiful hotel I've stayed in a very long time. If you like "classic meet modern chic" this is the hotel for you. Its very "sexy" and very high tech. The hotel has a very quaint bar on the second floor with just one table on the tiny balcony that overlooks the grand canal which is out of this world. The staff was amazing and they made everything possible and impossible to make us feel welcomed and comfortable, although we traveled with our 10 month old daughter.
A must stay for those who only expect the finest! Can't wait to go back.

We found a pillow on our bed with brown stains on it. We put the pillow on the floor and alerted the staff. When we came back the same pillow was on the bed again. We alerted the staff again, left, came back, and voila! the same pillow on the bed.
While the hotel has some luxurious elements, it is definitely not worth the money they charge. They also don't share with you that to get to their door, you have walk a very long, and extremely narrow maze. Scary for women at night.
