We enjoyed our room with the view of the ocean. We used the hot tub once and ate at the hotel restaurant once. Enjoyed our time there.

Older property, nicely designed but freezing cold in the room. They had the heat off and a wall heater that took forever to heat the room. The bed was extremely uncomfortable. Only 1 coffee cup so we had to share as we came in later in the evening. Found a weird bug in the morning on the floor. Hoping whatever it was none were in our luggage or clothes to come home.
Great location right on the beach.

This has always been one of me and my
Wife’s favorite places to stay when we go to the coast. The room was clean and the view was amazing, but the furniture was outdated and worn. The chairs on the patio were faded and not made of plastic. And normally the beds are very comfortable, but the one we had this time was not.

My wife loved the stay. Her only issue was with the bed not being real comfortable..

This is a great location, the hotel is nice, staff is great, the Mist restaurant was wonderful (get the lobster Mac).
However, the carpet in our room was the dirtiest I have even seen in a hotel room. Very disappointing. Time to upgrade to hard floors.

The property has updated since I had been last. Very nice in the rooms. Beds were new memory foam-type but were rather hard but I think it will get softer over time.
My only complaint is our room was at the very end of the hotel and got terrible wifi!! Next to none if I’m being honest. It would connect then kick us out almost immediately. We gave up and just used our data.

Enjoyed our stay. Beds were very hard though. I mentioned this to staff and they told me that new mattress were ordered. They're just waiting for them to arrive.
Staff very friendly and attentive.

This was my family's third time visiting the hotel and so far, it has not disappointed. Staff is always friendly at check in and out, rooms are always clean and neatly assembled. Easy beach access on the property is a major plus too. Thus far, our favorite hotel in Lincoln City!

I loved my stay at Surf Tides! The beach access is great. The view from my balcony on the third level was absolutely incredible! Not to mention the overall comfort and peace of hearing the ocean waves, the while enjoying the fire in the fireplace at night! Will definitely stay here again!

Had a great time. Room facing the ocean. Was so nice to wake up in the morning and go for a walk in the beach.

Beds were very uncomfortable! Tried to get dinner at the mist and was rudely turned away by the bar tender.

Still a nice place to stay with a quirky 70s vibe. The room was nice but questionably decorated. There was no dresser in the room, even though there was room for one, so you either have to stash your clothes in the nightstand or live out of your suitcase. The ocean view and beach access is fabulous and makes up for everything. The staff was friendly and very accommodating. Id stay here again.

It did not look anything like the pictures. Our room looked like a coat of paint and some plywood but still old. The patio was covered in bird poop. When I tried opening the door the screen came off. There sodas were 5 bucks for a can. They only provide you with one key. I wanted a jacuzzi tub in my room, and hotels.com said they were sold out but come to find out they do not make those rooms available unless you call to book the hotel directly through them. Would not let me pay the difference. Parking is a nightmare if you don’t get back early. We got back from the casino around 10:40. Overall, unhappy for the price. It was my birthday too!

Only thing I would have liked is if the Wi-Fi worked. I think they needed to do a router restart-super spotty Wi-Fi, other than that, the place was great!

Stay was good but had some issues with people above us smoking marijuana the whole time. Staff said they would speak to them but this continued throughout the stay. Mad it impossible for us to enjoy the balcony unless we wanted to smell the marijuana smoke.

Floors were absolutely dirty. Hairdryer was sticky and with hair on it. They said they would clean it when they came back to clean the floor but didn’t even touch the hairdryer. No clocks in the room.

This place was a solid 10/10. The room was cozy, decorated nicely, beach front with ocean waves crashing in the background while you sleep. Sitting in the morning watching the surfers while you sip a hot coffee was incredible. The seagulls were hilarious, we named them all Steven.

Plus: great view of ocean! Opened our balcony door and slept to the sounds of the ocean, simply marvelous.
Negatives:
1. was put in a room that didn’t have a properly working toilet. We had to have them call maintenance after the toilet clogged from a small amount of toilet paper. They “fixed” it and still couldn’t flush toilet paper down the toilet. There wasn’t any water pressure.
2. We arrived to find out there wasn’t any cable for our stay. I was hoping they had tvs where we could sign into our streaming services like many hotels have but nope. Old tv and a dvd player. The front desk said we could check out 2 dvds from a catalog. The place was packed so we had to write down multiple choices since all our top picks were taken. Kind of disappointing but we made it work.
3. There was literally a spit wad left on the ceiling from the people before us. Eww!
Definitely not worth $300 for one night I paid. I would have been happier with $150/night for what we got.

Super friendly staff. Beautiful views. Fantastic restaurant.

The only thing wasn't real happy about was their cable was not working and they didn't get it fixed until the following day, it would have been nice to know that ahead of time other than that it was ok
8.0 / 10.0
The staff were the very best part of stay. From the front desk to housekeeping. That, & they upgraded us (for reduced price, ) due to the cable being out. Tony showed us several to choose from. Tony is exceptional without being fake.
The one, big negative is that they remodeled & put in the "world's tiniest" toilet! Seriously! We are healthy, active seniors, & it was terrible.

This hotel is about location which is superb. You are right on the beach and my room had a patio which was perfect. The beds are comfortable and the room is clean.
The negatives are as follows:
no cell service whatsoever
very poor internet that is unreliable
cable was out when i was there and they did nothing to accomodate for that
steam room was also out of order
the restaurant is awful - you can never get service - I stood there for 25 minutes as they walked past me repeatedly without saying a word - and before you ask NO they were not busy and as someone who stays there regularly this is the norm
The main woman at the front desk during the day is great. she is friendly and efficient but other employees do not seem to know what they are doing at all.

No Television?!?! Dirty bathroom. FILTHY patio. Agreed to a $50 deposit for the room, charged my card $71.99 with no explanation. Very noisy sou ded like someone was in my room with me the entire stay. Only thing positive about this hotel is its view. DO NOT BOOK YOUR STAY HERE!

I liked the property and would have given a higher rating, except for a few things:
- There was no TV in the entire hotel. We found out at check-in, and I later found out this has been the case for months. The check in person told us to check out DVDs instead. So, before leaving the office we spent time selecting from DVD list. When we then got to our room there was no DVD player. So called the front desk and they said “yeah, only some rooms have a DVD player - we don’t have enough for everyone.” I mentioned that it would be a good thing to let people checking in know that they shouldn’t expect a DVD player so don’t first spend time selecting movies to check out. Also note that while the TV in the room is technically a smart TV, there is no way to get to Apps or anything to login with your own Netflix or such. If you are traveling here and want to be able to use the TV, best to bring a Firestick, Roku or something along those lines.
- When we went to leave our room the door was warped from the morning sun and wouldn’t open. Took two of us over 5 minutes to get it open. Speaks to the hotel - nice place, but old and a cheaper renovation, so just expect things like this to happen.
Plus side!
- love that they rent S’mores boxes and sticks so families can use the gas fireplace area outside
- Family friendly pool
- Good location
- Nice game room
