If you’re staying at any resort in Cancun and you’re not staying at the Rosewood Mayakoba then you’re not experiencing the best of the best. Hands-down the nicest resort in Cancun and one of the nicest properties in the world. InCredible service incredible staff and Justin overall incredible experience.

beachside lagoonview suite at rosewood mayakoba!
Just returned from the Rosewood Mayakoba. My wife and I stayed four nights in the beachfront lagoonview suite. The room was overwhelmingly nice. Ivan, our butler, started the trip off right with a wonderful Oaxacan mezcal drink, which set the tone for the whole experience. Yes, the prices are astronomical, but that's understood when you book a resort like this. We also love the mega resorts that are all inclusive, but the care and attention to detail gives an entirely different vibe. Everyone-I mean everyone takes the time to say hello, and are clearly all encouraged to be very open with their backgrounds and experiences in mexico. All in all it was a fantastic experience that, if you can afford the price, is worth repeating.

My husband and I just returned from an incredible 3 day stay at the Rosewood Mayakoba where we went to celebrate our anniversary. Rosewood is paradise and we’re still glowing from our trip. All the staff are incredible and they go above and beyond to ensure every request is met and you feel pampered your entire stay. When we arrived at the hotel we were given the most delicious welcome drink, quickly checked in and then taken by boat to our beautiful deluxe overwater lagoon suite. The trip was a surprise for my husband and he was blown away when he saw where we were staying. Our butlers, Lili and Omar, did everything to make our suite a dream. The next day we enjoyed the Kuxtal Sensorial Garden experience a very unique 3 hour spa session that connects you to Mayan traditions. Marta and Nancy took such wonderful care of us and we left feeling completely rejuvenated. All our dining experiences were wonderful and they have a wide variety of vegetarian / vegan options throughout the property and they are all delicious. For our final night we had a private dinner at the cenote which was just spectacular. Huge thanks to Cynthia who spent a considerable amount of time helping me plan this perfect evening. Miguel at Punta Bonita was so kind and took wonderful care of us. Thank you to Amy and Dario from concierge for helping me plan the perfect trip! If you’re looking for a chance to treat yourself look no further than the Rosewood Maykoba!

The Rosewood Mayakoba is extraordinary. The individual residences, the grounds, the beaches, pools and restaurants are wonderful. Would return in a heartbeat!

The room was amazing, the ground was very beautiful, food options were very limited and very expensive.

This resort has the best service and the most awesome staff of any hotel I have ever stayed at. They always find a solution for your request. They do not know the word "No".

We stayed in the Wellness Suite, which was a two-story suite on the lagoon with a plunge pool and a separate yoga/meditation/reflexology area. It had an abundance of additional wellness-focused amenities, and was close to the spa facilities which I used daily for saunas. The resort itself was a true paradise with multiple pools, beautiful grounds, and plenty of restaurants and amenities like tennis, golf course nearby. We would love to go back and definitely pay extra for the Wellness suite if that’s you’re thing.

The property is gorgeous but the people are the best asset—-they are the kindest, warmest, most helpful and efficient hotel family we have ever met. We’ve been going here time and again because it’s home for us. We love this place, the food, the quiet ambiance, the people, the spa, the facilities, the amenities. It is perfect. We absolutely love it.

There’s the Rosewood and then there’s everything else. If you work hard and are lucky enough not to have to borrow from the emergency fund to afford a stay at the Rosewood, do it. You deserve it and you’ll thank yourself for it.

The property is amazing. Was immediately impressed from the welcome at the airport all the way to the final good bye. The food is some of the best I have had in all of Mexico. The amenities and concierge/butler service were impressive and I never heard the word “no”. Truly an amazing experience. Plan to return.

My six year old son and I stayed at Rosewood Mayakoba for a few nights (we also stayed at a few couple other hotels on this trip, including Banyan Tree). Rosewood Mayakoba is amazing. The property and facilities are amazing. Our room was amazing (Deluxe Overwater Lagoon Suite). Restaurant and in-room dining food was excellent. To top it off, the people are amazing. Everyone (from the butlers to the cleaning staff) was incredibly intentional about us having an excellent experience. Perhaps all around more intentional about excellence than any hotel I've stayed at (and I've been to over 50 countries and stayed at LOTS of hotels). Generally, I prefer to not go back to stay at the same hotel twice (I like to experience new places)...but I will make an exception to that rule for Rosewood Mayakoba. We'll be back. If you're looking for a top notch luxury hotel...stay here.

This is our new favorite place to stay. The staff is the friendliness staff in the world. They go above and beyond to make your stay perfect. From the front desk to the cleaning crew everyone was absolutely amazing. The butlers are available via an app 24/7 and will bring you whatever you need. The treat you like royalty. The food is absolutely amazing. The beach is gorgeous and the property is something you cannot find anywhere else. The gym is fully equipped even with 5 pelotons you can ride. They provide every guest with a beach cruiser bike that can get you all around the property easily. The rooms are impeccably clean and very large with personal pools on each back patio. There are adults only pools and family pools and neither will disappoint. All the restaurants are outdoors and very clean and delicious.
If I had to say one bad thing it would be that the lagoon feature, that thing that makes the property unique, does attract some mosquitos but they have spray for you in the rooms and will get you medication if you get bit. Also bring your own sunscreen because in the store it is very expensive to buy. Again if you want to use their 30spf they provide it for free. There is really not a thing that I would change about this property. We just got back and are already planning our next trip there.

I never leave reviews but this time I felt I really had to do it. The level of the service was beyond my expectations: quick, dedicated and ver very attentive. They take care of every detail. The food is really good and the resort is extremely kids friendly. The butler was always available to take care of our needs. I also recommend to pay a visit to the spa which made my day even more relaxing. I would recommend 100 per cent and I will definitely go again.

Wasn't sure about booking this place because of the price tag compared to other nice hotels in the area, but very glad I did. This place was outstanding. Exceeded all our expectations. Service was world class. Accommodations were terrific.

My wife and I went down to the Rosewood Mayakoba for a long weekend and couldn't have had a better experience. The resort was beautiful, the staff friendly and helpful and the food delicious. We toured the Fairmont and the Banyan Tree while there and while both were nice, we definitely felt the Rosewood was the best of the three.

We were very satisfied with our stay at Rosewood. It is top five one of the finest hotels I've ever stayed in! The restaurants were all very good, the grounds were phenomenal...we couldn't have asked for a better trip. Everything about the hotel was luxurious. I really like the idea of being able to rent bikes to get from the room to the beach. Our hotel room was a deluxe overwater lagoon suite and we felt like the only people at the hotel. It was private enough in order to have a very romantic feel, but close enough to all the food and bars if you wanted to get out there a bit. In short, we were over the moon happy with our entire stay!

Outstanding experience - service was great - Victor, Frank, Gabriel, in fact everyone there was as service oriented as we have ever seen. The room was beautiful - very private, large, outdoor shower was wonderful, daily nespressos - the list goes on and on. Beach club was very nice - went snorkeling off the beach and the reef was better than we expected. Would recommend highly.

I've stayed at the Fairmont Mayakoba, been to the Riviera Maya 6 times, Cancun 5 times, and have a lot of experience traveling. You could say I'm the travel agent for my friends and family, as I know how to pick good hotels. Just being honest folks..
I went the Sunday after Thanksgiving for 4 nights. I always rent a car, as I we enjoy driving into Playa Del Carmen every other night for dinner. Plus, on Expedia, you can LOWER the cost of the trip by renting a car. Not for everyone, but we enjoy driving.
So the resort was EMPTY. i will be sure to travel this week again, it was perfect. Maybe 18-20 guests that week? I can't comment on service during a busy week, but this staff was unreal. Just perfect. We spent the mornings at the beach, afternoons at the main pool. On 2 days...we where the only ones! Food: Good. Service: Perfect. Rooms: We where offered many upgrades, but chose the original Deluxe Room! the outside shower can't be beat, and our location (304) was perfect. The beach is way to far, and the rooms on the lagoon side aren't as nice. Save the money, stay at a regular room....it's just not worth it. If you need to be on the beach, your going to give up convenience, your call. The spa was insane...they lead you on paths through the mangroves to private villas....my wife and I had a glass wall overlooking the lagoon while we had dual massages. AMAZING staff at the spa.
I'm going back, 100000%. But I'll only go when I can get a good deal.
