Nice, cozy hotel. Website said restaurant was open all day, but in fact it was closed from 10 am - 5 pm and only had limited breakfast options. Staff was nice, and responsive to our requests.

Chandler was a gift. He went the extra mile to resolve a booking problem, not of Hilton creation. He gives Hilton a good name. It would be in your best interest to do what ever is necessary to keep him. My I suggest a bonus and/or a promotion.

Loved this hotel! Was worried based on some of the reviews… about the food and elevator and stairs…..but the food was delicious-so good that we ate breakfast daily AND the stairs, should you take those instead of the elevator are no big deal! The decor made you feel like you were in an established old world club. Staff could have not been friendlier. Bikes were a treat too!

Wonderful hotel in beautiful neighborhood that’s close to many great restaurants.

Good for short stay.

Property was pretty. Restaurant was awful. No in room coffee either - hot water pot broken and only offered instant coffee. Also never got my VP perks that is advertised from Expedia for the hotel. Will not stay again.

The property lived up to the location

This is a unique heritage property, so the surroundings are particularly pleasing and the staff is friendly and helpful.

Nice neighborhood. A hotel with traditions.

I enjoyed my stay at the graduate Evanston. The property was older and had character in a sense of elegance. The location was extremely convenient and especially loved the rocking chair front porch.

Our biggest issue was the coffee. I was told coffee was served at 7 am on Saturday. However, staff didn’t get the message! Coffee cups were put out at 7:05 and coffee finally arrived about 10 minutes later. It wasn’t worth the wait! On Sunday, I went to the lobby at 7:00 for coffee and was told on Sundays, coffee wasn’t served until the Sunday brunch at 8:00. The brunch was not complimentary! The staff wasn’t particularly friendly, but other than that, we enjoyed our stay and would go back.

The location is perfect, close to northwestern, beach, shops and restaurants. The neighborhood is nice and clean. The hotel is tastefully decorated, with friendly staff. Room is also nicely decorated, beds are clean and comfortable, bathroom sparkling clean as well.
The rooms have decent soundproofing. However for light sleepers, you may want a room away from the elevator. During our stay, there is only one working elevator which can only hold 4 people comfortably. As a result, it runs almost continuously in the morning.
There are free street parking from 9pm to 9 am. Out of that window there is a 2 hour limit. We are out and about during the day, so street parking worked for us. Otherwise guests can self park in the public garages nearby or use valet parking.

having stayed at three other graduate properties this one is not up to par. Honestly, it feels like the happiness hotel from the Muppet movie. Its very old and small and dark. they also did not honor upgrade options or VIP status from Expedia. Look elsewhere.

Overall we enjoyed our stay at Graduate Evanston. It was inconvenient to arrive 2 hours after check-in open to be told that our room wasn’t ready yet. Otherwise it was a very nice hotel.

Bathroom had hair on the floor, an old crusty contact lens on the floor, pubic hair in the shower, a musty shower curtain, and the air conditioning unit on the ceiling was filthy.
There was construction in the room next to me, and despite me personally speaking with the workers and the manager, every time someone went in and out of the door, it slammed. This went on for two days, several times an hour.
I’m very disappointed. I stayed at the same hotel one week prior and it was absolutely perfect. How could this have been the same hotel?
On the upside, dinner at the restaurant was delicious, and the server was terrific.

Great furnishings, comfortable beds, friendly and helpful staff. Staff should knock before entering guest rooms, however.

This was a nice place to stay in area outside of downtown Chicago. I would definitely recommend and staff was nice and very helpful.

This is a great hotel with many nearby dinning options and the hotel is about a short 8 - 10 min walk to Northwestern.

Clean and very convenient location. Very close to the T and Bluebike station. Walking distance to Harvard. Nero cafe on 1st floor is nice and Target is nearby. Also found Laundnromat nearby.

Elevator has been fixed. Staff was great. Rooms are small but acceptable. Bathroom was nice. Original bed was smaller than advertised so they moved us into a bigger room. overall great experience. be careful about street parking - move every two hours during the day and check street cleaning schedule.
2.5
Very cute hotel, super close to Northwestern, an easy 10 minute walk (max) to campus. Staff was very friendly and helpful with local recommendations.
4.0
Quiet neighborhood. Room worked for what we needed. Would stay again.

Cozy inside and out.

Super charming historic property. Tastefully decorated with period style furnishings. Walking distance to Lake Michigan beaches and parks through a charming historical are. Parking was a bit of a downside. You can park it yourself for $18 per day or have the valet do it for an additional $35 charge.

The Graduate is our first choice when visiting Evanston.
Please, please, please improve elevator situation. It’s the only draw back for us.
4.0
Staff was very friendly and helpful. Housekeeping was somewhat inattentive but not so much that we wouldn’t stay again. Single elevator seemed to inconvenience guests a bit.
