Nice stay for one night. Easy to get too. Breakfast was delicious.
4.1
We had an amazing stay. Service and Breakfast buffet were great. We had a high school baseball club next door to us and the noise kept my husband awake. Also, it was a little pricey compared to others in the area. Other than that, I would highly recommend staying here.

This hotel is very old and run down. The first room we were given smelled terrible - like old cigarettes and stale. The second room was better but still had a bad smell. The AC didn’t work well. The rooms are dark. It was expensive for the condition of the hotel. I would not stay here again.

We enjoyed our stay with Embassy Suites in San Marcos and will be staying here again when visiting our college student. Very nice hotel.

So EVERY SINGLE TIME they do not acknowledge platinum AMEX members. And pretty sure I am not getting points which of course cause me to spend EXTRA time to research. In addition the front desk did not add my husband to room which in the course of the visit meant when we locked the card in the room I had to personally come down to verify. He was definitely standing there at check in. Front desk BAD

Spacious and clean. My kids loved the pool and the breakfast. Well worth the money.

The first night in my stay, the AC didn’t work. The second night the toilet began to randomly back flow and flood my room. I tried to call the front desk 3 times but the automated system said no one was available. There were 3 people at the desk when I came down. Maintenance showed up and quickly fixed and cleaned up the flooded bathroom. I was comped a night of parking for the inconvenience, so that was nice. The bed wasn’t the most comfortable, but the atmosphere of the hotel was decent. Likely will not rebook. The parking lot was as large as a mall parking lot, so to charge for parking seemed extreme to begin with.

This is our first time here in Embassy in San Marcos and we surely coming back.

The room was outdated and very dirty. The shower was molded on the walls and bottom of the bathtub and smelled of mildew. One morning the continental breakfast opened 30 minutes late.

Everything about the hotel was exceptional. It was clean, stylish, roomy with excellent service in where we had dinner. Food was good and great value for money and service was attentive and efficient. Room itself was well equipped and comfortable.

We are old people, but not handicapped. We are strong still can lift heavy loads. You gave us a handicap room and the bathroom shower do not work through your technician approved cannot be repaired then agree to change to the other room. The changed room shaver is ok, but the air condition was set to 66 F and can not adjust up to 76 F; we stay in a cold room all night. After we check out your clerk said everything ok do not have extra charge; but after we went home we find out you extra ch us $14.00. We did not drink your bottle water, We don’t know why you charge us $14.00. Wish you can refund the $14.00 immediately.

Our stay was amazing. Only thing was our window faced a roof top which wasn't really nice to look at.
4.1
The room was a good size the reason for not giving a 5 is because the front part of the room where the couch is stunk like dogs and dod pee the carpet needs to be replaced

We wanted to love this hotel. Embassy suites used to be an our go to but This hotel needs a serious updating. It was musty dingy and warm in the lobby and hallways. The room was not as clean as I would have like. The bathtub had was stained and didn’t drain and there were bugs in the bathroom Probably won’t stay at this one again. Pros: People were super nice and beds were comfy

They never clean our room or bring us towels we stayed 2 days

The staff was really helpful, we got a chance to book in early.

Nice property and staff were excellent! Good location

Our family vacation at the Embassy Suites San Marcos was nice and convenient. We appreciated the complimentary cocktail hour from 5:00-7:00 p.m., the complimentary breakfast, and enjoying the downstairs coffee shop a few times as well. The only thing I would suggest is maybe to update the decor in the rooms to make them a little more modern. Nice staff, too.

One of our rooms had 7 long dark hairs in the tub, needed more shampoo, and several boogers in the sink. Grime on the bathroom floor.
Overall hotel is ok but it needs an update. Has a lot of great structures, just very outdated

Liked that it was quiet at night.
Didn’t like the room had a funky smell as soon as we walked in, the AC was not working properly. In general the whole building is very outdated! Breakfast was not the best either. And you have to pay an additional fee of $12 for parking after already paying over $200 a night!!

The staff was nice. There was one hiccup where someone didn’t follow through with looking for my daughter’s purse that was left at one of their bartops. But, they were overall pleasantly friendly.
I found out upon checking in I paid the same cost through Expedia as if booking directly through Hilton. I suppose Expedia has a select group of rooms despite the availability (we stayed on a Wednesday evening and would eventually be told there were a lot of rooms available after we were changing into the third room as late as around midnight). So, there was the third, eighth, and ultimately the ninth floor. My best guess is that if you turn right upon exiting the elevator then you’re pressing your luck. Turning left was the only time there was relief with a room. The first two rooms (after turning right) had a mildew odor that could only have resulted from water leakage or the presence of enough moisture sitting across time. The third room was much better.
It’s hit or miss, I’ve learned, when booking with Expedia and you get what you pay for. So, I actually aimed to pay more money thinking I wouldn’t run into issues because I really needed a comfortable night’s rest. As a result, I paid more for this night’s stay than what I paid in New York or Chicago to result in disappointment. Expedia needs to call their properties and negotiate better rooms- especially according to costs. I don’t know who to blame, but I am about to write very much a similar review through Hilton Honors.

We love this hotel. Everyone was so friendly. The rooms were clean & comfortable. The pool was huge. The breakfast was above and beyond what we expected. This is the only hotel we will stay at while I and around San Marcos.

I’ve always trusted Embassy. That was my reason for booking, even though it was more expensive than other hotels in the area. The room had a horrible mildew smell. When I asked them about it they said they would check into it the next day. They were able to remove my parking fee because of my inconvenience. The vent in the bedroom was falling off the wall. It just needs updated.

When we opened the room , the moist smell covered everywhere. The bath room had a black dots that seems it was mold!. I put our fruits in refrigerator, was freezed in the morning. The carpet was very old and messy. The furniture was very old!
In total compare to other embassy hotels has very low quality and much much expensive.

Hot tub drained, closed. Room service not available. Otherwise everything was great.

Room was ok I was put in a handicap room with been told until I got in the room.

I would not recommend this property. It is outdated and the rooms are old and gross. The carpet was nasty and the smell when you entered the room was uniqie but not in a good way. The food was horrible and the lines were so long. The pool does not have enough chairs and the hot tub was out of order with green water. Its a giant hole that anyone can fall into. Our room was hot and humid and the bathroom was disgusting.

Great went on 4of July weekend everything was great but one elevator was broke and the lines were close to 15 minute wait.
4.1
It was so crowded kids running around everywhere without supervision. The room had a smell to it as well. Ppl were super loud in the lobby till about 12am.

Y’all only had 3 elevators to service 300 rooms, all booked for a jr. baseball league tournament and when elevator was broken, which left us with two elevators then all the little boys from the baseball leagues were pressing all the buttons which made the elevators take forever to visit each floor. And I, I only also saw two carts to service fully loaded hotel. Super friendly.
