Having tried a few hotels in the area this is probably the most comfortable one so far. Really comfy bed, lots of space and really dark. Could do with better heating in the bathroom but otherwise really good.

A fantastic place, comfortable, quirky, although the rooms are quite dark, all part of the experience apparently. The staff were friendly and helpful. The attached restaurant was also superb as was the bar downstairs, though finding it is also part of the experience 🙃 . We had a great time and hope to stay again soon.

Unfortunately the air con did not work in the room and the alternative room I was offered also did not have working air con. The room was very warm and I had a poor nights sleep.
In addition the venue tried to charge for my room despite paying prior. Resolved when I produced the payment receipt.

Perfect location once we found it. Google took us to the wrong location near Camden. It’s right opposite KingsCross Station so don’t make our mistake.
Superb room (602) lovely and spacious, clean and quiet. Huge bathroom and bed.
Hokus Pokus cocktail bar is pretty expensive but they’ve gone to town on the decor.

Hotel perfectly situated for Train station and underground. Room facilities excellent and very clean but very noisy due to building work opposite.

I feel it was over priced and not well advertised on the booking site. Got a basic green with not even a single decoration on the wall, that just doesnt match up with the vibe. Bathroom was extreemly hot and the ac didnt work in the room

Overnight stay to catch train

The hotel has more of the feel of a good 3 star than the 5 star advertised. However, it is cheaper than other 5 stars in this area. Staff are friendly and the rooms very querky - deck chairs weren't the most comfortable in room seating. Couldn't be more convenient for St Pancras Station.

A very very mixed experience; just be careful which room they assign you- what they called traditional rooms are actually tired and rather disappointing, with horrible threadbare carpet outside the door, and cracked bathroom floor tiles.
I complained, and they told me - terribly sorry the hotel was full so I couldn't change rooms, but then I threatened to actually just leave and pay for another hotel room elsewhere, they magically conjured up a different, newly refurbished room. So actually it was possible for them to move me in the first place. The newly refurbished room was actually very nice actually and in line with what I expected - stylish, clean ,modern and super nice. So my experience was a tale of two halves, just be careful which room they assign you.
Finally, they shouldn’t be marketing rooms with that level of deterioration. They claim to be a high-end boutique London hotel, and given that, that’s just not acceptable. It's back to the Standard hotel next door for me next time, I’m not willing to take the risk with the Merago again.

Room is spacious and mordern, very close to tube and train. Breakfast is very delicious.

I stayed one night at the hotel, and hotel charged me 3 nights and I was told it's their policy. Please read all the reviews under 3 stars before you book this hotel, from my experience, these reviews are true, I am regretted I didn't read bad reviews carefully. The hotel has big problem about sanitary, bed sheet made me itchy for a few days, and due to the location near King's cross railway station, it was still very noisy until 2am the night I stayed, I only slept 3 hours the whole night. And bathroom has drainage issues, water didn't go down, just 3 mins shower, water flooded almost the whole bathroom. No exhaust fan in the bathroom.
I would say this is about 2 stars hotel instead of 5 stars hotel. I have a feeling staff were self aware about clients complains and the issues this hotel had, they were trying to get around the issues or apologies to clients. I felt really bad to quite my stay, not only I lost $700, but also I could feel they wanted clients to stay hardly. Dining not good either, very overpriced.

Good property but certainly not a five star property as stated on Expedia. I would call it a 3.5 star property. I would not have stayed there had I been told that it’s not a 5 star property because we paid as much for a five star property

This is an interesting property. Not your typical boring decor. We had a corner room which was large and spacious. If you’re looking for quiet, this may not be your best choice, at least not the corner room we had. But it is on a bustling city street so no blame on the property there. Very convenient to the London Underground station (King’s Cross of Harry Potter fame to be exact) and Eurostar high speed trains to Paris, Brussels and more. Day trip to Paris by rail with a late night return made the convenience of this hotel particularly nice. 15 minutes from disembarking to head on a pillow. Only complaint I had was the bar was not operating on a schedule that matched ours. Otherwise, this is a winner.

Unfortunately the air conditioning wasn’t working in my room but reception did their best to resolve the situation. Great location, service impeccable and the Italian restaurant is to die for.

Perfectly pleasant, staff were nice, location was good as we were getting the eurostar but the bed was uncomfortable, room strange in terms of decor and smoke came in our room if we had the window open. AC also did very little even when on coldest setting. But we didnt pay too much, staff brilliant, and location brilliant.

My daughter and I liked the location, close to Kings Cross. The staff were helpful. The standard room had a double bed which was very creaky, ear buds were provided due to the noise levels and massive building works outside. The shower was dangerous as hot water became scoulding hot and made me scream, luckily my daughter didn't go first. There was no bath mat so shower was slippy on exiting. We were not asked if we enjoyed our stay, hence leaving the feedback so safety issues can be resolved for Room 308

Very large and nicely appointed room. One of the most comfortable beds I have ever slept on. Staff very friendly and helpful. Very close to Eurostar London connection.

The staff was exceptional! We ran into some self-inflicted issues that the staff enthusiastically and kindly took care off. Could not have had a more welcoming stay!

Pros... Location...directly across from St Pancras..
And the AC in our room was great. Boutique hotel.
Cons.. A little dated... Very hot stairwells so. AC not throughout...

We loved this hotel. Stag very nice room is large clean and updated. Mini bar refreshments are complimentary and the location to train station is unparalleled.

Great stay, booked last minute due to train issues and got upgraded. Great touch the mini bar and snacks being complimentary. The guy on reception was great and the stay was a little silver lining in what had otherwise been a really tough day.

The best thing about the hotel was it’s location near Kings cross station. There is only one lift and often gets busy. The bath was slippery, both me and my travel partner slipped trying to get in and out of it. Luckily no broken bones just big bruises. When we told the hotel about we were provided with a bath mate but still the bath was high and very risky, don’t recommend it to senior people or people with disabilities. The hotel also forced us to pay a £100 deposit and told us it will be returned once we checked-out, however a few days have passed and still nothing was returned.

Overall a great stay. The room was perfect and we appreciated the complimentary snacks and drinks. The bed was comfortable, the bathroom was really nice.
But the views were lacking, and there’s really nothing else in the hotel apart from the room itself. The steampunk decor at the entrance is a nice touch, as well as the theme of the room.
It’s in a great location. A bit too close to the hustle and bustle though.

Hotel was convenient but is showing its age. Carpeting in halls had holes in them.

Great stay overall. Beds extremely comfortable. Bathroom spacious. Fairly new hotel with elegant touches. Breakfast for a fee recommended. There is construction around the area; however, King Cross Pancras station makes it super convenient to move around London. Enjoyed our stay!
