The person working the breakfast was extremely RUDE and unfriendly. Every person related to the restaurant obviously did not like their JOB

Beautiful property in the woods. The hotel restaurant serves wonderful foods. Lots of nature and fresh air. The room was good and had hot water for shower. Internet WiFi was spotty at best but we did have good mobile reception. Good location.

Beautiful Hotel, next to a river and nice garden. Weather is perfect, at around 60-75 degrees farenheit. It can get a bit chillier at night so bring a light coat.
Staff is limited.
They have 1 restaurant and 1 coffee shop which was closed.
They don’t offer room service.
Price was very decent. I would stay again.

The river view was amazing. Beds were clean and extremely confortable. Restaurant food can improve but cost per person was fine.

It's an escape for one night. The house is dark, for its size there was no sufficient lights. Despite a space in a kitchen there was a refridgerator only, no coffee maker, no wash sink. A good restaurant is on the site. Beautiful nature and kids playground to spend a half day there.

The grounds were nice walkways around the various rooms, and a fish pond. The hotel is on a nice mountain stream. The room was aged a bit, but comfortable except there was no hot water. This is not always needed in Panama, but in the mountains it is. The "A" restaurant was fine, but the grill was ordinary bar food quality. There is nothing in town (which is only a few houses). This is a stopping off point for things in the area.

I chose this hotel because on Expedia it was indicated that there is a Spa, pool and that you can get massages. In the end there was no such option on the property, so that was very disappointing.
We did not get free coffee with our breakfast, although it should have been included.
Overall the stay was okay.

Very disappointed with this hotel. We were 5 adults and 2 little girls so I ordered the 9 people room. We arrived afternoon, the room was freezing and it has no heater. It was actually colder inside the room than outside. There was no hot water in the shower, I went twice to the front desk to tell them about it and only at the second time they sent someone. He said he fixed it and that we should wait 15 minutes and try again but guess what- it didn’t help. In addition to that the roof was leaking so we had water drops all over the main dining area. We asked to talk to the manager of the property but were told that he’s not coming and we can’t speak to him and that any compensation is not even considered. Very poor customer service regarding handling complaints. Needless to say that we won’t be staying in this hotel ever again.
P.S, in the hotel’s home page in Expedia it’s mentioned that they speak both English and Spanish. None of the staff spoke English.

The property sits right next to the river and the sound is most pleasant. The flowers and outdoor landscaping was beautiful

By far exceeded our expectations. The staff was friendly, rooms were clean and spacious, and the food in the restaurant was delicious. We even did the zip line, it was two short lines but fun. We will be back!

Would not recommend this place. Paper thin walls and very outdated mattresses.

The rooms was fine and the place is set up for a wedding venue. The restaurant was high for the quality and the breakfast included is only toast and jam.

I gave the hotel several 3s. And in other circumstances, I might have given all 3s, but its Volcan and you shouldnt (and I didnt) expect the Ritz Carlton. It got several 3s because (a) there were a lot of bugs and ants in the room (b) there was a power outage during a rainstorm and the staff/hotel was strangely unprepared for what I would think is a regular event in the rainy season, and (c) staff made no attempt to compensate for (b), e.g. comp a drink at the bar. If you go to Volcan, this is a beautiful spot to lay your head. And, you need to know Espanol!!!!!!

This is a beautiful property sits on the side of Volcán Baru. The garden and setting is beautiful, facilities and amenities are well maintained. Food in the restaurant is good and well priced. Staff is friendly and helpful. The first great help was sending a vehicle to come pick us up after a taxi left us at the wrong hotel. The second instance where the staff went above and beyond was after I left an iPad in the dresser of our room the day we checked out. I didn't realize it was missing until we were in Panama City almost a full day later. Ana, who was working at reception when I called, had not seen it and went and thoroughly searched the room. It wasn't there and she hadn't seen it in the lost and found so she called the off-duty cleaning person and found that the iPad had been returned and kept in a safe location. Unable to ship to Panama City before our flight back to the States, Ana agreed to ship to a hotel in Boquete where we had made friends with the American owner. I am extremely grateful for the honesty of the staff and the exceptional customer service and highly recommend Casa Grande Bambito if you're lucky enough to visit Chiriquí province.

the best about this hotel is the location, this area grows alot of fruits and veggies, strawberry stands within walking distance with great sundaes and banana splits, great food at the hotel too but the slowest service in Panama and thats saying something. The room started out great with a newly renovated bathroom that included a giant soaking tub but we couldn't access the internet so the hotel changed our room to one in a duplex, it was charming but had poor lighting and a very small rundown bathroom and the noise carried from the attached room, worst of all the internet was barely useable. we didn't stay the 2 nights we booked. the hotels need to understand that when you advertise wi fi that we rely on that even though we are on vacation we still need to check in with those at home, work and for our other travel reservations!!

The day before I was to check into Casa Grande, I received emails and phone messages from hotels.com booking alerting me of a problem with my reservation. I lost 2 hours of my precious time in Panama City dealing with this unforeseen cancellation. After being shuffled back and forth between representatives, I was finally able to get 3 out of 5 days at the hotel. I'm not sure if I'm more upset with hotels.com or with Casa Grande.
