All good except that the room was too warm and I could not reduce the temperature.
4.3
Very small beds, small room, terrible pillows. Needs some freshing up with paint and carpet. Tub was difficult to maneuver for over 70s group, very high sides having to crawl over.

me and my two friends went to derry for a night out from belfast had a ball really party city and hotel was great. central and very welcoming. highly recommended.
4.3
Parking is an hit or miss
But after hours, the location is very convenient

So unhappy with experience. I accidently booked the wrong night. I realize it was my fault. But they charged me premium for the night I needed and i also had to pay for the wrong night i booked. And never used it. What a waste of money.
4.3
Very close to bus station and train station. Close to site's to see .

Nice pool for kids

Loved our break in Derry and definitely recommend the City Hotel. Marked down only because the leisure facilities and pool weren’t available during our stay as looked forward to a swim each morning. That aside the hotel is in a perfect location for exploring the city and its fascinating history, and staff were friendly and helpful. Breakfast was amazing and loved the fact that the toast was made as your breakfast was dished up, without having to manoeuvre a toast machine that had its settings moved with every user. 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟

Very good service. Lovely staff. Overall great place to stay!

City Hotel was very central , busy hotel with a buzz about it. Service was plesant although slow at times perhaps not enough staff at the very busy bar & lobby areas . We were able to get parked the first night in the free parking provided by the hotel. However when we returned the second evening the hotel parking was full and we had to use the pay carpark nearby. There was a misunderstanding regarding the hotel stamping the parking ticket before we got our car from the paid parking. The hotel was unable to assist with reducing the paid parking fee was disappointing as we choose the hotel because it said parking onsite...

The entertainment at the weekend was brilliant especially the group on Saturday night, they where fantastic and Gerry I think that was his name , he was so helpful and welcoming, handling our luggage and was so helpful, friendly, totally amazing.
4.3
I have stayed a lot at city hotel, have to say I love it, but for a change I'd like a room with a view, not one that suck beside Tesco making noises at 6 AM just a nice room with a view.
4.3
Had a great 2 nights stay with breakfast. Every thing was great. Very central hotel.
4.3
I stayed there with family and the staff were friendly throughout our stay.
The location is perfect and a stones throw away from the peace bridge and town centre.
The main thing with the hotel is how outdated the hotel is.
It could do with a renovation to the rooms, the lobby and the fitness centre.
They are all okay but are outdated and could benefit from this.
4.3
Lovely staff. Very nice bsr and dining room
.Room was good but very very hot at night....air conditioning wasnt working.
4.3
I had ordered a family roo. For me and my 2 sons. But i didnt selet it was a adult and 2 children. Wen i got to hotel they said i boooked to adults. But that it was no problem at all and it didnt affect our stay. The staff were so so nice. So helpful. My son is serverly disabled and he was treated with so much respect. Staff went above and beyond.

Such a handy location for seeing the sights of Derry
4.3
Great location for exploring Derry with lovely views over the River Foyle.
Hotel underground car park was full so had to park in public car park across the road (Sunday was free however).
Hotel was busy with a good atmosphere. Rooms were very clean and spacious. If I had to give one bit of feedback it is the hotel does look a little tired for a 4 star hotel.
Still recommend the hotel and would stay again

Though we only stayed for one night we throughly enjoyed our stay. Couldn’t recommend enough, staff were fantastic.

We were delighted with our upgrade to an Excutive room . Beautiful views from our room . Our room was beautiful and spotless clean . Our food was also very good and the service was first class

Good
4.3
Everything was excellent apart from the noise at night. There must have been a wedding on and the music was extremely loud therefore not able to sleep to 2am. With a 4 month old baby this was not ideal, disappointing as everything else was good.
4.3
Great location, large selection of restaurants and bars nearby

This was described as a 4 star property. It didn’t seem 4 star to me. Maybe I am spoiled. The room had no safe or iron, but it did have a press for pants. He lighting in the bathroom was horrible and I don’t think it would have been better if all the lightbulbs had been working. It does have an indoor pool and a fitness center and banquet facilities. And it has a buffet breakfast with plenty of options. The front desk was not particularly helpful and I think there were some new staff there who were making errors that made things inconvenient for me as a traveler. The property seems to be used quite a bit by bus tours and there may not be much nicer spots in the area. A highlight was the maid staff who were very helpful and provided advice and directions.

What can i say apart from if you are looking for a nice clean friendly comfortable hotel then citi hotel is the place....set in the middle of everything within walking distance....based next to the foyle river offering brilliant views of river at night comfortable beds and rooms have everything you could need staff so kind and friendly and a special thanks to a young lady that checked me out this morning as i was checky to her not for anything she did i wanted to see how she would responed professionally well done niamh...and thank you for fantasic night....i was on the 7th floor penthouse rooms and wow definitely if you get the opportunity to up grade please do so only complaint is as customers are leaving roof bar can be noisey in saying that roof bar wasnt open late...

Had a wonderful stay. Everyone on the staff was incredibly helpful.
4.3
Very clean, comfortable hotel with very friendly, helpful and accommodating staff. Breakfast was plentiful and varied. I have stayed there a few times and the standard has always been high.
4.3
The big selling point of the hotel is the pool and the hotel location, the biggest problem with the hotel is the lack of good well trained staff especially in the breakfast room, its a free for all, couldn't believe it, few teenagers doing their best with no one to point them in the right direction. We were on the 5th floor and the noise from the "rave" party from the 1st floor function room was horrendous, went on to the early hours, not acceptable for a four star establishment, i think i'll try another hotel next time as there are quite a few about the city.
4.3
Super friendly staff, comfortable room. We arrived early parked and checked bags in before exploring the city. Staff gave us a city map and explained where things were.
We used the hot tub and sauna which were welcome after walking for several hours!
Ate in the hotel restaurant on the dine in deal (£49 2 people for 2 courses & a bottle of wine) food was tasty and well presented. Overall a comfortable well placed hotel in the city with brilliant staff and good facilities.
Only complaint is there was a coffee machine in the room but only decafe pods supplied which was a shame.
4.3
Property needs updated.Ensuite needs renewed, swimming area needas a facelift
4.3
Great hotel.
4.3
Good hotel. Noisy banging room doors by other guests. Soft close doors would be good. Pillows very uncomfortable. A choice of pillows would also be good. Otherwise no problems, would stay again when working in area.
