Hotel was great , it is just far from the city center , but there is a metro station very close to the hotel that will take you to Salerno Central station in around 18 min

Sure, here is the translation: We were greeted by one friendly female staff member, and the rest of the staff were arrogant and unhelpful. The hotel's fitness center was not a fitness center but a room with one machine that didn't work. There was also a treadmill and a bike that took turns not working. The breakfast was extremely boring with not a single vegetable. You also had to pay for a boiled egg - I've never experienced that before. We usually enjoy staying at Novotel hotels around the world, but this was absolutely the last time.

Not a good value compared to other European hotels, may be because you don’t have lots of choices in Salerno. Bed is of the foam type, not comfortable. Shower is half enclosed, you have to be careful not to get water everywhere. The toilet leaks water and makes noice.

The check in was just average, person checking us in really didnt have any joy in taking our information, didnt really offer any recomendations on area around the hotel to view while our stay. the area around the hotel is not very desirable, not kept well.

We were using public transportation, so it's easy to get from the train station to the hotel using the metro. Then, you can walk to a nice little mall, a great trattoria and pizzeria, and the salernitana stadium.

This property is terrific. I saw some negative reviews and can’t believe that they were talking about the same property. Room was excellent and clean. Staff was very helpful and friendly. Parking was the most convenient that we encountered during our entire trip in Italy.

Room aircon didnt work properly...unable to sleep and aircon fan making a loud noise. No solution offered by reception staff.. Not a novotel experience

I was not informed about inserting the key card in a special socket in order to activate the lights in the room. In order to use the elevator you needed to insert the key and was not very easy to use or responsive. Breakfast was included and it was good. I will stay again.

Very nice hotel. Main problem in room 602 is that the air conditioning unit drips water onto the entrance wooden floors when used. Very friendly staff who were a little stressed in the breakfast room on a Sunday morning. Very clean hotel in all areas.

This hotel is a great find. The staff are all lovely, the breakfast is nice and the rooms are very good. We had 3 rooms and not a problem with any of them. The hotel is a 5-10 minute walk to the nearest Metro station which runs from the main train station to the football stadium, you can buy tickets outside any stop or at a post office. The other big attraction is Pizzeria Salernitana, the local restaurant around the corner. You don’t need to eat anywhere else, it is a proper Italian restaurant that caters for the locals, the food, value and service is the best I’ve experienced in Italy. The owner went out of his way to be helpful and even made our Dad a meal not on the menu as he had the ingredients and it was Dads favourite growing up in Salerno.

Disappointed- lots of extras. You need a bathing cap to use the pool. Which will cost you 2 euros. Windows and elevator glass dirty. One side of hotel faces a garbage area - highly visible. No complimentary products like the other hotels Shampoo - etc. black mold in bathroom tile area.

Clean hotel. Nothing fancy but it served its purpose. Quiet, which was important. Bed was too firm. Just gave a thin sheet. Pool was great to use but not enough space to sit. Plenty of parking. Safe area. Did not eat in restaurant.

Hotel staff was extremely courteous and helpful. Restaurant on site was nice. Not fancy but decent food at a reasonable cost. It was very close to the public beaches. The walk there isn’t pretty and there’s not a lot of food nearby. It is not close to the sites and activities but cabs are readily available and it’s an easy drive. If you’re driving down the coast double the time estimate given on your map app

The building was very modern and new. The pool was amazing and the lifeguard was very dedicated to cleaning the it. A negative point is that the location was very impractical because it was very far away from the center of Salerno. A tip to get from the center of Salerno back to the hotel is to take bus number 5 and it will take you under ten minutes to walk back to the hotel.

A very nice, clean and welcoming Novotel with outdoor pool, fitness and underground parking. The staff is welcoming, friendly, helpful and polite. That includes everyone from the reception, the restaurant, the kitchen, the cleaning and the pool guy. No problems with the English language at the reception and restaurant. The location is not the gratest, it's a bit far from the city centre but it can be turned in to an advantage. You have to walk along the shore on the promenade or you can take the Metro from the nearby Metro station Arbostella. Download the Trenitalia App and buy the tickets online. It costs 1,5 euro per person from Arbostella to the Salerno center station. There are a ton of things to do and visit in the region. You are on the Amalfi coast! But if you want to take it slowly and taste the "dolce far niente" stay in the Arechi neighborhood were the Novotel is actually placed. You can eat deliciously and quite cheap at the Pizzeria Salernitana which is placed 300 metres or 4 minutes walk away from the Novotel. 1.6 km or 20 minutes walk towards south east you will find Maremo Beach Club. They have a nice private beach and a very good restaurant with gourmet food. Longer south you can find a free beach (spiaggia libera) on the Via Salvador Allende. It's 2.6 km away from the Novotel and it takes 30 minutes to get there on foot. The closest accessible private beach is 500 metres towards the centre or north west. The place is called Restaurant and Lido Eureka.
