This is a stunning looking building, with great views over the Menai Straits. The rooms were comfortable, and functional. We had a couple of issues with our room and they were fixed very quickly and with no fuss. The front desk staff were great and commendable. The breakfast was very nice, and plenty to choose from. The bar is hard to find, but again just asked the front desk and they pointed it out for me. In the summer I bet this has the best views for a drink. The bar is vey comfortable, and we were treated to a very large folk band on the Saturday night. The location is very ideally located for the town centre. There is a path which leads through the university buildings opposite down a lot steps (take a torch in the dark) which leads you to the town centre. About 15 mins max. All in all a good place to stay.

I use this location regularly as a base for an overnight stay. Premises is always spotless. Breakfast couldn’t be better and staff can’t do enough for you. A great place to stay as long as you don’t mind getting lost each time in the labyrinth of corridors. Can I suggest they get a map drawn up to assist in finding your room. Thanks again.

Centrally located, very quiet and peaceful. The room was neat and clean. Friendly staff. However the room was too cold.

Great location in upper Bangor. Within easy walking distance to bus and train. A great central location and transport hub to visit Anglesey (Menai Bridge/Strait, Holyhead and Holyhead breakwater as well as Beaumaris and Penrhyn. Regular buses to Conwy as well. The University grounds were very nice with great views. Room clean, large and bed was comfortable.

Very clean room & comfortable quiet location.
Breakfast plentiful with view of water.
Easy location to amenities locally.
Setting son into Uni rooms meant we were able to stay and visit pier and cafe on it and Llandudno by bus. 12 return for two

Awesome view

Good location, walking distance to everything you need.
Given service a 3/5 because it was dependent on staff on set days, some if which were great, others less attentive than you would like from a 4* establishment.
Great views from some of the rooms, nice little bar area with lovely views from outside.
Overall, a decent place to stay a few nights but we'd be surprised if this was a 4* if reassessed, felt more like a middle of the road 3*.

The building is old with some lovely features and the rooms are spacious.
The staff are really welcoming and nothing was too much trouble.
We ate in the restaurant and the food was delicious.
Breakfast was amazing, lots of choice and good quality ingredients. My 7yr old said it was the breakfast of kings.
Highly recommend and will definitely be back

The property is in very poor state and in desperate need of upgrade. The staff were nice and friendly. The food at the restaurant was good.

It was clearly a hall of residence for students making extra money in the holidays. Difficult to locate from Sat Nav location.
Breakfast however was excellent.

Fantastic location for University
4.0 / 10.0
The food was so good and the staff were lovely. The only downside was I'd asked for an accessible room and the one I was allocated was up a little set of stairs. Not the end of the world (in my case) and it wouldn't stop me from going back as I'd make a point next time of going back to ask to change. I was just too sore and tired on this occasion.
Overall would recommend!

Easy to get to and very convenient for visiting the university. Lovely staff, a good restaurant, tasty breakfast.
8.0 / 10.0
One reason we booked was the availability of a lift. However, it only serves the 1st and 2nd floors. We were given a room on the third. Luckily a room was still available on the 2nd floor. This aside, the room was good and the dining options acceptable.

Everything was good except maybe a long walk from the car park

This hotel was lovely. Our room was spacious and recently renovated, with a very modern and clean attached bath. The included full breakfast buffet was delicious. The staff was very helpful, and the desk has someone there 24 hours a day.
I think that guests who cannot climb stairs should be aware that the lifts don't cover every part of the building, and that the layout of the building is a bit hard to understand. But if mobility is not a concern, this is an absolutely beautiful place to stay. You can easily walk down to the waterfront or to see the standing stones. At night you hear the gulls squawking, which is oddly peaceful. In all, we loved staying here.

Enjoyed my stay

I've stayed at the Management Centre several times sine last December. It's a convenient location for my work in Bangor.
The staff are friendly and welcoming and parking is complimentary.
Some rooms are on floors that are not served by a lift (I think) - this is no issue for me but some guests may wish to bear this in mind when booking.
My only negative is that the bar doesn't open until 17:30.
Otherwise a lovely hotel with some great views over the strait.

It was not a hotel, just an annexe to Bangor university - a conference centre with bedrooms!
Difficult to find, limited parking, unfriendly staff on reception, poor facilities, unreasonably complex directions to find bedroom.
We stayed for 30 mins before handing back our key to a rather disinterested receptionist, then came back home.
4.0 / 10.0
Overall we thought the accommodation was excellent, clean and comfortable. The view of The Strait was an added bonus. Well appointed but there were stairs to negotiate if in the 3rd floor.
The service was excellent however we ate in the restaurant and this let service levels down. It was a particularly busy evening and diners were left waiting while a till issue was sorted. Then we were told the kitchen might be closed. More training needed.

Property is lovely. Our room had a wonderful view. Across from the pub - but they were somewhat civilized. We slept until 10 am next day (jet lag) and missed breakfast. Our fault of course - but for a service organization, they could have offered coffee or a bun or something... We asked if they could recommend a place for breakfast - and sadly, the only thing they could come up with was to go to Morrisons (the grocery store). Not exactly what I would call customer oriented service. Still - a nice place to stay over.

Staff were not experienced but tried their best. Room was basic but fine. Breakfast was good. Reception not good at directing you to your room, pointing in the general direction was not that helpful.

We enjoyed our stay. The accomodation, restaurant, parking, location and service is excellent. It is quiet and has good views. The staff are friendly and helpful.

A clean, functional room in the University of Bangor's conference facility.
6.0 / 10.0
The guest rooms are quite dated and the mattresses are worn, leading to an uncomfortable night's sleep. For the first two days of our stay, we were in a cold room as we were unaware of how to operate the heating system. Upon inquiring at the front desk, we learned that the radiators could be turned on manually with a knob. It would be helpful to have clear instructions posted in the rooms to inform guests on using the heating controls.
Interestingly, despite the hotel's environmental signage in the bathrooms requesting guests to retain their towels for multiple uses, housekeeping replaced our towels after just one day's use when they had not been left on the floor. This seems contradictory to their stated sustainability practices that the housekeeping staff should be mindful of.
The breakfast offerings are underwhelming, with limited selections that tend towards either unhealthy, heavy fare or light continental options like yogurt and fruit. More balanced, nutritious choices in between these extremes would be appreciated. Furthermore, the coffee served is of poor quality.
While the accommodations suffice for a short stay, some updates and expanded amenities would significantly improve the overall guest experience at this hotel.

Lovely building. Great views from the restaurant. Very friendly and welcoming staff
8.0 / 10.0
This is a perfectly functional hotel without being exceptional. All the staff were extremely polite and helpful and could not be faulted. It's clean albeit a bit tired. I think the rooms could be better soundproofed as people talking in the corridors could be heard word for word. The breakfast choice was good and our evening meal we tried was again good without being great. pricing is much the same as local restaurants. We found it to be a good location for visiting sites across Anglesey and the North Wales coastline down to Snowdonia. Plenty of parking and located on a very quiet road with extensive grounds and a view over the Menai Straights from some vantage points.

It was fine and clean, the building is lovely outside but the room we were in was small and reminded me mostly of my university accommodation years ago. This would be fine if the room was cheap, but it wasn't. Breakfast was ok but the evening menu was limited and we had to go into town to find something everyone would eat. Wouldn't stay here again.

Great accommodation, perfect for visiting the university or wider area.
Breakfast was really good very impressed with the range for gluten and lactose free.

A really good location for the town centre and walk’s near the sea front
