Room not very clean staff unfriendly would not stay again

The carpets in the room are discussing the
toilet seat is hanging off and so is the toilet roll holder. pillows in the bed we're way too small. I had so many problems with the room card and the selections of channels on the TV are poor

It was ok for what we needed
Room was comfortable
Bed only had one pillow each which really isn’t enough

hotel located nicely for centre of town and pier, although multi story carpark opposite has very low height restriction meaning I had to park a short walk away in a dodgy feeling carpark

It has been a very long time since I’ve stayed at such a run down hotel. The carpet in the bedroom was absolutely covered in spills and stains. I was so glad to have slippers with me! The bed was horrible, and the chair had a slipcover on it, so I can only imagine the state of it underneath…The parking is across the street and there are parking barriers across so getting around with lots of luggage was horrible. Definitely do not recommend. If it wasn’t for the beautiful view and friendly counter staff I’d have given it a 1/5 stars instead of 2…

The room was very large. Lots of space and the bed was comfortable. Needed some extra pillows. Quiet. Good price and well placed for accessing Southend shopping and theatres. The carpets in the room could do with being replaced as many stains.

Hotel room carpet was REALLY past it. Stained all over—some bleach spots, some other. Clean but just in need of a refresh for what it is.
Bed were also very beat down and lumpy with very squishy pillows.
The staff was good (breakfast manager particularly great). It should be to the standard of the Premier Inns at least

After arriving , told restaurant was closed that night , shower pressure was so poor, the room window blew open in night ,as The locking device was broken , the room has five lights only 2 was working , I always use to rate a Radisson hotel but this was on par with a poor travel lodge .

staff is friendly and very helpful. Had a room that was very dirty. Asked for another room which wasn’t an issue but the rooms are in a terrible state. I wouldn’t use again or recommend to anyone

Staff was friendly and helpful. The room was very dated and the carpet was filthy. Bed and pillows were not comfortable. You pay for the area, not the room. Right on the seafront and across from a mall. High street is near where there are more shops and restaurants. I only stayed 2 nights but would have left if I was staying in Southend longer.

Staff on reception were remarkable. Staff in restaurant not so on the ball and took ages to be served. Food ordered came quickly

Location and car park across the road perfect but the hotel room (318) could be better. We had a family room which was very spacious with a sea view. Odd smell when you walked into the room and we couldn’t quite work out what it was or where it came from. We opened the window and door to air it out and but the smell still lingered and then the we were unable to close the window. The bathroom door creaked liked something out of a horror movie. The toilet didn’t flush properly and you needed muscles of steel to flush it. The room was clean but tired looking as was the bathroom. It’s definitely in need of some TLC.

Great location with parking close by at additional cost. We found the hotel reception could do with a deep clean. We were made to feel welcome as was our dog who had his own bed and water bowl.

**Review:*
I recently stayed at the Park Inn Hotel Southend-on-Sea, and overall, my experience was fantastic. Initially, the first room I was given was not clean, which was disappointing. However, the situation was quickly turned around by the exceptional service from the manager, Yasin. He went above and beyond to ensure my stay was comfortable, promptly changing my room and upgrading me to one with a front balcony.
The staff at the hotel were consistently amazing, and their commitment to excellent customer service truly stood out. Despite the initial hiccup, the rest of my stay was enjoyable, and I appreciated the efforts of the team to make things right. I would definitely recommend this hotel and look forward to staying here again in the future.

Came to Southend for an anniversary trip to the theatre. On arrival at the hotel we were given our room on the 5th floor. Once we got to the room we quickly observed no air conditioning on a day when it was 25 degrees. Spoke to reception who said the air con in the whole hotel was faulty. The room was so hot, the gave us a fan which was very loud and just recirculated the already warm air. The carpets were generally filthy, stained all around the bed, the decor was ok for the rest. There was only one bottle of water in the room. The hydration station outside the loft was not connected and the water in the bathroom didn’t run cold enough to drink. We decided to have a cup of tea, however the kettle didn’t fit under the tap so we had to fill multiple cups and decant into the kettle each time. Overall a disappointing stay four our anniversary, somewhere we will not be staying again, I guess you live and learn.

View and location are excellent but thats where the positives stop. We paid £213 for one night in a family room and I expected a good quality hotel for that money but it was a budget experience. First room they gave us had a balcony but the doors dont open. Looking out I think its been closed off at some point as it need repairs. Nevermind but we then found two of the three beds were wet. I can only assume the previous occupant had sat on the beds after a shower and that the beds had been remade rather than changed! Anyway we were moved to another room. The phone didnt work. The coffee and shower gels had not been replenished. There were cracked tiles in bathroom and smashed mirror in bedroom. The whole room as with the first one was in need of refreshing. The water cooler in hall was out of action and the one in gym was empty. The breakfast wasnt bad but not high quality. The bacon was barely cooked and no fried eggs. Only boiled or scrambled which seems strange. On a positive all the staff we interacted with were pleasant. Overall I would say the hotel is short staffed and has been under invested in over several years. If it had been cheap I would of been satisfied but not worth the money.

Feel sorry for the staff here. They were all fantastic hence a mixed review. Could be a great hotel but it is sadly mired in the 80's.

Booked on the night we left the Hope hell hotel and staff couldn’t do enough to accommodate us and even upgraded our room as realising the experience we had just endured will rebook with out hesitation

Very basic. All carpets are filthy and in need of replacement. Only 1 pillow each and no extras anywhere. TV reception very poor - half the channels had no reception. Trying to flush the toilet so difficult - had to put your whole body weight behind pushing the button. Water pressure in the shower was pathetic. But the view was lovely. And the staff in the bar really friendly.

The hotel is ok the foods average. The room was very basic and far to hot, no air conditioning or air flow. The fans they left in the room were pointless and cheap. The beds were the most uncomfortable i have ever slept in. Defo wont be going here again

You can't beat the location of this hotel when it comes to a family trip to Southend for the amusement park and a bit of high street shopping! The room we had was a great size and had a great view, but was incredibly hot due to the lack of AC/fans. The food was ok; next time we'll get food elsewhere as it would be better value for money. The staff/service was excellent! They were all friendly and helpful. We will likely stay here again

Been living near this hotel for twelve years, decided to have a night out. Balcony room overlooking the park and Thames. Big cup of wet cigarette butts on the balcony when we checked in. Some signature is a little over used and the florescent lights above the bed make some serious noise. The hallway was full of flies too which was a bit weird. Otherwise, ok
