Property was great. We specifically chose this for its Onsen, so we did not get the chance to walk around the town. But location is very convenient, only 5 minutes from the train station and shopping is close by. Highly recommend, staff super friendly, food was delicious

Stayed in Junior Suite and did one day with half board. We had a fantastic experience. Room was really pretty and the suite had a nice hot tub.
The riverside view was really pretty, and they had a nice public onsen bath complete with riverside view, jacuzzi jets, and even massage chairs and complimentary drinks in the lounge area. Could also book a private onsen for ¥2,000 which was really reasonable.
Service was excellent; staff were friendly, helpful, and respectful. They had some English-speaking staff on duty.
There's a ramen shop and a convenience shop a short walk away. The hotel is also near the mountains, so we enjoyed the mountain views when travelling out to Kobe.

It is clean, friendly, and has a good atmosphere.
For the first trip in three years, I chose this hotel. It's such a lovely place, and I really want to go there again.

The stay in Hotel Wakamizu is more than expected. The Hotel itself is not in much of a tourist sightseeing spot, but since we have rented a car, and the hotel has offered free parking, it is not much of an issue. The room is very clean and well maintained, and since we have opted for the dinner and the breakfast package, the food itself is very delicious and fresh. It's not a far drive to Arima Onsen and Rokkosan, especially if you actually consider to stay in one of the hotel of Arima, I strongly recommended you to stay here instead, as the price is much lower and with way better quality of stay. We didnt anticipated much when we booked the hotel as we just planned for a place to stay with onsen in the middle of our road trip and I think we are really happy with this accidental choice, as it is a really pleasant surprise and i think we have received great value for the money we pay.

This stay was for a special occasion, and I reserved the best room in the hotel. Japanese style, but with large furnished balcony over the river, western sofa, luxurious double sink and cosmetics room, shower, and private hot bath fed by spring water, overlooking the river. The only drawback was the urban setting of the hotel; other than that, a five-star Japanese onsen (hot-spring) resort with all the trimmings.
Dinner (served in the room) and breakfast (in the dining room) were Japanese style feasts, with dozens of small delicacies brought in separately by kimono-clad servers, adding up to far more than I could eat in one sitting.
This is Japan at its best.

This hotel was a short walk from the Takarazuka station, which is easily accessible from Osaka, Kobe, Kyoto, and Itami Airport. There were plenty of things to do near the hotel with lots of nearby shopping, the Takarazuka Grand Theater (an all female acting troupe), and Tezuka Osamu Museum (which was amazing and only 700yen entry). At the hotel the service was amazing from beginning to end. I was able to drop off my bags several hours before check-in and the staff delivered them to my room. The check-in itself was very thorough with a detailed description and walk-through of amenities. The staff spoke English very well and were able to meet all of my needs during my stay. The room itself was large enough (about average for a Western style room in Japan), but very clean and comfortable. A yukata, towel, sock, slippers, and coat were supplied for use during my stay. The onsen were very nice, one indoor and one outdoor, with several washing stalls. In the changing space there were bath towels for drying, baskets for storing belongings, lockers for valuables, two massage chairs, tables for relaxing and drinking tea, and several seats with lotions, cosmetics, and other amenities to care for your skin after the bath (all of which were for sale at the gift shop). I didnt have a chance to try the restaurant or bar (I did notice a sign that mentioned a 1500yen table service charge at the bar, so I decided against trying it), but Im sure that the service was consistently great.

Hotel staff were exceptionally friendly and helpful. The room was compact but comfortable. I was able to experience many aspects of Japanese culture while I stayed at the hotel which added to my visit. Being able to relax in the hot spring bath each night was the 'icing on the cake'.
