We arrived around 9am and waited in line to check in. it was my daughters 15th birthday and the hotel clerk was an older lady. She was complaining that she had to type in my information in the computer because I made a reservation through Hotels.com. Then my credit card wouldn't go through and swiped it like 4 times. Finally a gentlemen came over to help. I asked her if they did anything special for birthdays in the rooms and she said I'll try to do my best because she had to decorate another room and she complained that they were short handed. I totally understand but complaining about your job. I didn't like that! We did walk in our room that afternoon and there were balloons/birthday card for my daughter and she was so happy!
Thanks so much for that!
We absolutely loved our stay! Can't wait to do it again!

ROOM NUMBER #2223!!!!!! Paying 300 $ for a “resort style” hotel right at cedar point sounded like a great deal … until I stepped In the room. Rusted bathtub….. that did not drain. Swimming into a knee deep pool of water with other people’s hair ..while attempting to shower. Shower curtain completely ripped dangling into the drain completely discolored. (Been doing this awhile) Also, spread all over the shower walls were “shaved hairs “. Someone literally shaved and wiped all the little hairs onto the shower walls. Nobody cleaned it. Not to mention all our CLEAN towels were setting on a pool of hair, dirt, and dust. Blood stained towels. Our sheets were barely connected to the mattress. Absolutely disgusting. I stayed here 5 years ago and the hotel was NOT like this. I cannot believe the rooms 300$ and it was complete FILTH!!!! I DID take plenty of pics to blast how terrible this was !!!!!!!! I will be sharing them on all media platforms !!!

The staff have been wonderful. The hotel is clean, well presented, historical and very well located. The rooms are right in the middle of the action, yet quiet and private. Would highly recommend!

Our overall stay was a complete NIGHTMARE!!! We were locked out of our room three times because the room keys would deactivate. After spending 20 minutes each time in the lobby to speak with the front desk they finally called maintenance to our room. It ended up being the battery system in the door. Carpentry had to come and take the entire lock apart. This resulted in a lot of time that we lost to spend in the amusement park. We ended up having to upgrade our passes just so we could go back the next day. To make matters worse, at 8 o’clock in the morning I went down to get coffee and was not able to get into my room again because the room key somehow became deactivated!! Thank goodness my husband was in the room. He proceeded to tell me that when I was gone housekeeping walked in on him!!
The only positive thing that I can say is that the hotel management is working with us to rectify the situation.

Loved it - the location is great to walk to cedar point .. lots of pools to choose from .. great mini fridge & freezer, can’t wait to go back!

We love this property and book it EVERY time we go to Cedar Point!
4.2
Great location and everyone was friendly, but check in took about 30 minutes
4.2
Overall very happy with our entire experience! Will return!!
4.2
The front desk always had a long, long line. If you need to buy tickets at the desk for one of the parks (you get the tickets cheaper at the hotel) you will waste at least an hour waiting behind people checking in. They should have an express desk just for park tickets.
4.2
The hotel is filthy ! The balcony was full of dead flies, mosquitoes ,and bugs the hotel is very dated.
Pool was gross and the jacuzzi was even worse! You can stay at a 4 star resort in Miami for less!
The only plus is that’s walking distance to cedar point!
4.2
The hotel is very nice rooms are clean but could be better, we had lake view but it was screened in and the screens were nasty, some garbage behind the pull out twin bed and the dresser. We had no wash clothes. I am sure it is do to short staff issues.
4.2
Staff was very professional. Beach was clean and water was clear and warm. Grounds were well maintained; landscaping, trash, outdoor furniture and beach areas. Some door areas I passed through had no handicap power assist to them. Probably did at the main entrance. I did not remember to check that.
4.2
Outside building needed power washed and painted . Rooms still had areas that wasn’t fully cleaned. Hallways needed swept . Pool was very dirty. All the employees were amazing . We have stayed there a dozen times and have never seen the Breakers Hotel this bad.
4.2
The place was very clean and well maintained . The front desk personal were very proffessional.
4.2
Very convenient location to stay near the park. Hotel needs much updating and cleaning.

Good job

The Breakers is inside Cedar Pt., which is awesome. The landscaping. and grounds are beautiful. Unfortunately, inside the facility it is not only shabby and run down but surprisingly dirty. We saw the same trash on the floors in the elevators and the restrooms off the lobby over a period of days. Many of the staff we met were very nice but many were disinterested to say the least. Our room was grungy with lots of hairs in the shower, on the countertop and in the corners of the flloor. This is not the kind of yuck that comes from 1 sloppy cleaning. This is just how it's being done. This hotel is too expensive to be this gross. They're busy, obviously, but the people in charge of maintenance are clearly not paying attention. We stayed here last summer as well and it has visibly declined since then. Bring slippers.
4.2
They checked all the boxes so you’re safe and sound the staff was very helpful and friendly with a smile that made you feel like family job well done
4.2
A very nice hotel. A few minor issues were disappointing, considering the price point. The outdoor pools were full of floating bug's. Several other guests commented on that as well, and did not get in the pool because of it. A guest took it upon themselves to grab the skimmer & clean it. Bathroom is too small. When the door opens it almost hits the toilet. Bed linen is cheap. Comforter is very thin.
4.2
We love staying at Hotel Breakers with our kiddos. The rooms are always exceptionally clean and there is so much to do right at the hotel with the pools, arcade, Starbucks, and the beach..having Cedar Point right outside is just a bonus.
4.2
Great overall experience. Checkin process was bad, but Cedar Point did good with comping us. So will be back again.
4.2
I had always wanted to stay at Hotel Breakers since I was in high school. Finally made it and shared a room with my daughter and son in law. I felt the grounds were a little run down, pools were not clean (a lot of fans and debris in them) and limited onsite dining. Most staff were friendly. Great location vis-a-vis Cedar Point.
4.2
Amazing location! Suites had a bit of an awkward layout. Bedroom was spacious, but living area with pullout sofa was cramped. Bathrooms and carpet could use a revamp. For the price we paid, we were not blown away, but loved the water views and easy access to Cedar Point.
4.2
Very comfortable
4.2
Check in was horrible. Very disorganized and not at all on time. Fire alarm went off at 1 am which turned out to be nothing. Then it went off again at 6 am. Again it was nothing but ruined our nights sleep. Beach has alot of trash and other items left by people all over.
4.2
We arrived at 4pm for a 4pm check in time. The line was winding around the lobby and our room wasn’t ready until 6pm. This is not a cheap roadside hotel. We paid $800 for 2 nights not including park passes. Why aren’t the rooms ready on time? We have less than 48 hours to enjoy the amenities and amusement park and I think they owe us for the 2 hours that we missed due to their inability to properly manage this hotel. A positive: free parking.
Once we got to our room it was fine… nothing spectacular but adequate. The entire outdoor area could use some TLC. Light fixtures were dirty, patios needed a wash etc. The swimming pool was very buggy and needed skimming, which eventually happened, but not before the pool opened for the day. One of the elevators in our wing didn’t work and there were often long lines for the elevators.
The kids loved the early park entrance and convenient location to Cedar Point. Everything within the hotel was extremely overpriced, which is sort of to be expected but it seemed more than necessary.
The location is perfect for Cedar Point goers and we did enjoy the beach and relaxing on the pool decks (once we wiped bird droppings off of the chairs). Lake Erie was surprisingly shallow and warm here and there were lots of people enjoying that area which was nice to see.
I don’t think I’d stay here again, unfortunately. I had high hopes, but the price per night was a bit of a splurge considering it was just one stop on a road trip.

So many great things to do at the hotel right on the beach. Excellent trip for my granddaughter! We got to spend time at the pools and on the beach while the others went to Cedar point
4.2
The good. Hotel is in great location in walking distance to Cedar Point park and the beach. Two indoor and outdoor swimming pools. TJI Friday's, Starbucks, Perkins, and Japanese steakhouse available on first floor.
The bad. Our stay way ruined by dirty room with dust and bed bugs. My wife had rush all over her skin after sleepless night. Room had nothing in the fridge not even water. Upon check-in room was not ready until 4 p.m. Staff at the front desk not very friendly or accommodating. After check-out I notified front desk clerk about the problem with bed bugs in the room. No complimentary offers or apologies from clerk or manager.
In summary the place is in convenient location but I would never stay there again it's just not worth it for the price. Definitely not a four star hotel I wouldn't even rate it a two star.
4.2
Very expensive but a great place to stay for convenience and atmosphere!
4.2
Very convenient location. Beach is nice. Pools were extremely dirty.
During check in there was alot of confusion and I was charged for "remaining balance" when the FULL amount was already paid via Expedia, still waiting on the credit.
On site restaurants extremely overpriced you are better off going off the island to eat if you can and most things close during the week close extremely early.

Made my stay easy
4.2
Elevator broken the entire 5 days we were there, which made for very long waits. We waited for nearly 30 minutes to get to the 5th floor. The grounds are fun and clean, love the food options. There isn’t a coffee pot anywhere so you will need to wait for Starbucks and pay the price. Overall, it’s a nice place!

Staff was great, would recommend…

Location was excellent. Only thing missing was a coffee machine in the room. Starbuck’s was in the resort but a ways away for my 1st thing in the morning pick me up. Staff were very helpful and kind. Would stay again

Love being so close to the park and beach.

The hotel was good but the check in was a bit messed up
Charged my card twice

It is a one stop hotel. They have everything, you don’t need to go anywhere.
