Чудесный отель

Отель комфортный. Удобные кровати. У нас был номер-студия, он просто огромный. Спальня, гостиная, большой балкон. Завтраки просто шикарные. Мы много путешествуем, так в этом отеле были лучшие завтраки из всех отелей, в которых мы останавливались в жизни. Выбор огромный, качество продуктов великолепное. У нас был ранний вылет, на ресепшне сказали подойти в ресторан в 6 утра. Уже много было накрыто. Полноценно позавтракали. Спасибо! Бассейн на крыше очень приятен после беготни по Мадейре. В отеле есть подземная парковка. Прямо рядом на втором этаже ресторан Madmarket. Тут очень вкусно.

Номера-студии выходят на дорогу, очень шумно. Но с закрытым балконом и включенным кондиционером тихо.

В цілому не так погано, але за ці гроші на острові можна знайти набагато кращі варіанти.

Досить хороші сніданки, великий вибір.

Номери на фотографіях виглядають краще, ніж в житті. Готель не новий, ремонт тут робили давно. Плюс в готелю немає власної парковки, можна скористатись публічним підземним паркінгом і для мешканців готелю він безкоштовний. Проте коли ми приїхали на цьому паркінгу місць не було, оскільки він в досить популярній точці і багато людей паркують там машину. Будьте готові до того, що попри заявлений готелем паркінг місця для вас може не виявитись

Quarto e vista excelente, boa comida no pequeno almoço e jantar, óptima localização, acolhedor, moderno, várias atividades piscinas, bilhar, ping pong e simpatia de todo o staff

Bon séjour en général

Magnifique hôtel proche de la mer et du centre ville , bus à proximité pour se rendre au centre de funchal. Très bon petit déjeuner avec énormément de choix.

Le fait que tout soit mis en avant pour les clients parlant anglais et malgré que parlant la langue du pays on se sente mis à l'écart, particulièrement par le personnel du bar ainsi que lors des animations proposées en soirée. Petit point à améliorer.

Exceptional

I liked the hotel - it was modern and nice, staff was very professional. Our room had everything what we needed. The beds were comfortable. The breakfast were very various - even with the food limitations and alergies you can choose.

Great hotel for 4 days stay, well located and comfortable - not as private, more tourist focused.

Great location, in the best neighbourhood in Madeira, one can easily walk around and find restaurants plus shops. The hotel is truly clean, the rooms are ample and have a nice terrace plus ocean views. Our flight got cancelled due to weather reasons and we go in a day late, the receptionist Roberto was truly kind and understood the situation, he spoke directly to booking for us and got them to not charge us the night we couldn't make it. The parking was free and right below the hotel which was truly comfortable and ideal. The swimming pool is very ample and truly cozy. The personnel was amicable and always willing to help and serve the client.

The buffet was a little massive and though they offered all kinds of food you could tell the quality was low, the fried eggs were made in bulk and would be brought in already cold + looking a little plasticky. The juices were very artificial and pure sugar, definitely not natural juice.

Not worth a 8.7 rating and not to the standard of 4 star hotel

The swimming pool area was very pleasant, however we did order food that came with a side of lettuce which had clearly not been washed as it came with a worm. The staff offered a complimentary drink which was ok but for a 4 star hotel this is very poor.

The bed was absolutely terrible and the rooms a bit old looking.

Very nice hotel

The view we had on the 11th floor was amazing. The breakfast was very nice and we had a lot of options to choose from. The parking garage was very handy for us. The location was good, a lot of restaurants and shops around the hotel, the city center is a bit far by foot, but it's a nice walk.

On weekend nights we had a hard time finding a parking spot in the evening

Convenient and relaxing starting point to explore the island

- Location is good, public transport stops and tour bus operators right next to the entrance, motorcycle rental within a walking distance, seafront os also close enough, old town a couple of bus stops away. - Underground parking subsidised by hotel - Very spacious apartment-like room with two areas separated by sliding doors - 2 tvs and plenty of channels (english, french, german, etc) - Pool and ping-pong tables - Room was cleaned everyday - Fair breakfast on the terrace level - We had dinner once and the good was great - Terrace with a pool was cool to spend the time in, high railings concealed the fact that you are in the town

Small stuff like some unusable pool cues, unclear signs on sauna doors saying you need to pay but not clear why and how.

The facilities and the views(apt name for the hotel). Everything you need in walking distance. Great breakfast and very friendly and helpful staff. Free parking

The sign Fourviews led us to drive around as we thought we were in the wrong place. Needs to be changed asap

Nice and conviniant place to stay

Easy access from the airport and for further excursions. The hotel provides a free parking. The hotel is located within walking distance from a variety of excellent restaurants. Rich and excellent breakfast. We had to leave the hotel on Sunday at 0700 before the usual opening hour of the restaurant . We asked for some coffee and instead, the restaurant was especially opened at 0600.

There was a discrepancy between the room description on the web and in reality-No slippers nor bathrobe, Daily lack of refill of sugar and tea and we had to ask for it on a daily basis

The pool area with ocean view. The amazing breakfast and the super friendly staff. Compared to another 4 star hotel I stayed nearby, this is really a 4 star one!! Good WiFi everywhere. I even worked by the pool

Spa has to be paid for unless you have a treatment. The closeness to the beach according to booking is not really a beach :)

Excellent location in busy are with many restaurants and shops very close by, but inside the hotel it was very quiet, even with the window open. Breakfasts were good with plenty of variety. Outside pool was superb with steady temperature of 26C even though the weather wasn't particularly good for most of our stay it was still good to get in the pool Soundproofing of the rooms appeared to be very good. Lovely to see all the Christmas lights everywhere in Funchal, including the hotel

Very large bed, but duvet was pathetic, not really big enough to cover the bed, much less any allowance to hang over the sides. Asked reception for a larger duvet or a second one to use alongside the first (as is fairly common on the continent), but nothing happened - just ignored!

I would recommend this hotel

The hotel is lovely, the room is very spacious, I could enjoy the ocean view from my window. Moreover the location is very good, close to all essential places. The staff is very helpful and friendly! You feel very welcomed here!

Fun family time in a beautiful hotel with great facilities.

I’ve stayed several times over a period of years but hadn’t been in around 5 years and hoped it hadn’t changed too much. Luckily it was as lovely as ever with friendly helpful staff. Breakfast was alway very good with an enormous choice available and fresh. Only stayed 3 nights coz it was fully booked but I chose to stay for the 3 nights available rather than choosing a different hotel as we also stayed with family, glad I stuck to Monumental Lido as it never disappoints :)
