We spend a lot of time traveling and the staff and service of the Rosewood Hotel are beyond compare. Everyone is friendly, professional, and unbelievably accommodating. The rooms are gorgeous (silver 4 poster bed!) and the rooftop bar has views and just the right vibe. We had an oversized vehicle, which is not common in Georgetown with it's quaint narrow streets. The hotel valet allowed us to park directly in front of the hotel for 2 nights because we couldn't easily fit anywhere else. We also had leftovers from a tailgate party and the staff came with 5 gallon pails of ice to refill the coolers in our truck so the food would make it home. Most importantly we heard absolutely no noise from the other rooms. No doors slamming, toilets flushing, nothing but silence. If you get the chance, come stay at the Rosewood. You will NOT be disappointed.

The gym is mediocre. Service is slow.

Beautiful small beautiful hotel in the center of everyrhing

Check-in was seamless even though we arrived several hours early. The staff was wonderfully attentive, but unobtrusive at the same time. The hotel is small, but charming and located in a great area with many restaurants and fabulous shops nearby.

This overnight was a gift to my daughter from me, supposedly prepaid and including breakfast. My daughter was charged and they added $80 for breakfast. Pretty embarrassing birthday gift. What happened. Please contact me ASAP/

The Rosewood was lovely, however, for a "luxury" hotel they did not really have some of the amenities I would expect. As an example, 4 little espresso pods with a couple of creamers, one of which seemed expired, didn't really cut it for coffee in the morning. I didn't see where there was any room service menu. That's just an example. Basically, it was nice, but not impressive.

Small rooms, shower not working properly, extrA charge for roll away bed. Double rooms are not queen beds but full beds. I want a refund for the roll away bed charge.

It was lovely. Staff is very hospitable and most accommodating. Room was clean w great features. Rooftop bar is fabulous. Ice cream cart out front is really a charming touch.

Excellent service, and perfect combination of classy and cozy. Enjoyed walking around Georgetown from here.

Fantastic central location for shopping, dining, live music and spa treatments. High touch customer experience as expected for this caliber. Simple, quality decor, warm smiles, coffee at checkout. Highly recommended.

One tiny complaint. Housekeeping put two bottles of was and no shampoo in the bathroom. It was just an oversight but mildly annoying.

Great location. Lovely intimate lobby. Rooms are on the small side but very comfortable. Hotel staff was friendly and Jorge was especially helpful.

Beautiful room. Wonderful service!

The location is excellent. It is next to the canal, half block to M Street with Laduree around the corner, nice Italian restaurants across the street and 5 minutes walk to Washington Harbor. Staff is very friendly.

I would love to give this hotel five stars but one huge issue they seemed to ignore kept being repeated by numerous guests.
Everything in the hotel is open, I can sit at the bar next to 10 people and have a drink and even lay out on the rooftop next to random people but when it came to the pool, only two guests at a time and we had to reserve ahead of time. We were not aware of that until two days before we left and that was the main reason for the trip!
If they were doing all of the rules for Covid, fine but can someone please explain to me why Covid spreads quickly in chlorinated water but not at the bar or a rooftop area outside of the water??
When we tried to reserve timeslots, none of the times we wanted were available. When we were up there, we met another couple who said the exact same thing and were pissed. They said they didn’t care if we wanted to get in the pool with them and couldn’t understand the logic.
So, needless to say, we did not use the pool once, the main reason we booked here!! When I complained, all I kept getting was we are sorry and we would like to explain it to you. I don’t want an explanation. I paid for a five-star resort and I expect five star amenities or a discounted rate. I told them I wanted a discounted rate and they offered us nothing! Really?
So, they need help in customer service for sure. Also, the bar on the roof was very slow but at least we could get a drink next to strangers, 5 feet away from the Covid pool.

Just the worst experience on such a special day!

Service quite poor and amateurish for this price point
Noisy air blower on in reception
No cooked breakfast
Had to ask 3 times for a dental kit which took 30 minutes to bring up

I’m spoiled because last time I had a room with a soaking tub and this room was a bit of a downgrade from that.

The property itself is beautiful , very high end feel as you would expect .
Service was very good . All the staff was extremely friendly and eager to serve .
There were however some minor quirks. For one , I could not for the life of me figure out how to take a shower without it flooding . The shower wouldn’t drain and this resulted in water seeping out the little holes in the bottom of the shower door and it flooded the entire bathroom . The lady from the front desk came up with extra towels to clean up and was extremely apologetic and had me move rooms. Then at 6:30am the next morning the fire alarm went off accompanied by an announcement to evacuate. Luckily after calling the front desk they informed me that it was a false alarm and after a few more minutes of the alarm someone came over the speaker and apologized for the false alarm. Again this was fine and I understand things happen but I feel like after the shower issue and the fire alarm, something more could’ve been offered besides an apology , especially from a hotel of this caliber. When I tried to take a shower in my new room it still pooled water. After informing the front desk they said perhaps it was an issue with the 04 rooms since I was in 404 and moved right below to 304.
Overall, beautiful property, elegant feel , great service
I would definitely stay again hopefully next time with a non flooded bathroom and no fire alarm wake up call.

Poorly trained staff at check in - elevator not working Incredible concierge who saved me.after waiting over 30 minutes - beautifully appointed room
Huge construction all around the hotel - restaurant closed due to a fire - Concierge has fruit and kind bars brought up with a delightful martini
If you go - ask for William, the wonderful concierge!

Still a few months to go before the canal construction is complete so the exterior is a bit hidden. But the staff was lovely & genuinely seemed to like each other & the guests in equal measure.

The place looked very nice but they didn’t do good job with cleaning. I the cups were used and dirty and the coffee machine hadn’t been cleaned looked like someone used it already. And the hotel was way too over priced and it was hard getting sleep with them construction outside. When I missed my flight I asked them to extend my stay for another night they raised the price for the night even higher. Also the driving there was terrible their streets are completely blocked off so it’s impossible to even get to the hotel.

A beautiful. boutique hotel tucked. into a quiet corner of Georgetown right in the heart of things.
Thank you Rosewood for a wonderful experience.

As ever, a wonderful stay!
Warm welcome, super and helpful service, awesome new restaurant, and the perfect location in Georgetown.
The road/river works were the only problem,...but we do look forward to the end product.

An absolutely wonderful stay! Great staff (very attentive and friendly), amazing restaurant, fantastic rooftop pool and lounge area. I was slightly put-off at being surprised by construction happening directly outside the hotel requiring patrons to back out of the street, and then follow a detour around the block. I would have thought that they might have warned me, especially since I'd spoken to them 2 days before arriving.

We will definitely be back! We loved it and Everyone made us feel so special. Perfect location for shopping and the food was great too. Giovanni at the pool bar is a gem

I have visited the Rosewood many times before renovation. I called them to make sure the construction was done and the hotel was finished. They assured me they were. I arrived and there was construction all around.
The lobby smelled of old garbage, the check-in desk was awkward and dysfunctional. Zero intelligence from an entire incompetent staff. Nor did their system gave information of the fact that I have been there many many times. “First time in Washington?” Which is dumb.
Massive view of construction garbage out the room window.
Overall it’s not worth your time. It comes across as an amateur operation.

Wonderful experience staying at the Rosewood. It just opened after renovations and we were so pleased with our standard room. Completely updated, modernized and beautiful. The staff goes out of their way to make you feel comfortable and welcome. Perfect location, just off M street in Georgetown. They are redoing the bridge there so it is a little hectic driving but doesn’t deter from the experience. We will definitely go back!
