Staff were amazing and very helpful.

Hotel great but downtown label a bit misleading

The things that bothered us very much was that the hotel had a parking lot nobody else could use but charged $10 a night, and also charged $10 for each person for exactly the same breakfast that you get in similar class hotels, and it was even worse because there was no way to get waffles or pancakes because, as the attendant said, management had not given the ok to buy the machine.
We could of course have gone to another place to get breakfast, this at least was voluntary, but not the the parking. And we were not informed beforehand of the extra charges when we made the reservation.
Not happy! !

We stay at holiday Inn express all the time and I've never been charged for breakfast or parking!! $10 was their favorite number! You want the same breakfast you get at every other holiday Inn express...$10 you want to park your car like you do at every other holiday inn express...$10.
Plus they advertised as "DOWNTOWN" but it's a MILE WALK!

Amazing front desk. Emilie is the best.

We stayed for a week here for my boyfriend’s birthday. We had a phenomenal time exploring all the sites and visiting family nearby. We had impeccable service during our stay. Specifically Jeff Lyman gave us great recommendations of great foods atmosphere, hiking, etc. he was insanely well versed in the area and much of the area even further around downtown Durango. Our room was on the fourth floor with a balcony, it has its own living room area when you walk in, a mini fridge, Keurig, and a microwave. The balcony has an amazing view and we couldn’t ask for a more comfortable stay. The buffet breakfast is priced beautifully at $10 a person and has everything you need for a well balanced breakfast. To say this hotel is dog friendly is an understatement, the dog park steak is phenomenal, and all the rooms have what appear to be luxury vinyl which is much better than carpet in dog friendly hotels. I’d say majority of people who stayed here did have dogs, which was awesome. Would highly recommend staying here, it’s CLEAN and very inviting. If you’re not familiar with the sec Oscar’s is the best for breakfast, be sure to add your name to the waitlist ahead of time! It gets busy but sooooo worth it.

Mostly good. Only complaint is that breakfast buffet closed at 9:30 which is too early for a weekend.

Beds were uncomfortable, there were rose peddles left behind swept behind the room door from probably a former guests “romantic” night. We ask for a rollaway bed which they forgot about we called the front desk multiple times and they never answered we had to go down they told us they forgot which was like a couple hours after check in.
4.3
Noisy from the room above and the beds are too soft. Otherwise it’s a good place to stay.

This was like staying at an Embassy Suites, compared to the Baymont. We accidentally miscounted our days in Durango and needed an extra day. The Baymont could not accommodate us so we had to leave and I we are extremely greatful we found a room here. The room was amazing and super clean, wish we could have stayed here the whole time.
4.3
We chose this hotel because it looked safe, clean, modern and was pet friendly. Staff was friendly. Also, there is a very large (acres) of off leash dog park right beside the hotel. The convenience of the restaurant was a plus! We will definitely book this hotel the next time we visit Durango. We would like to have parking included in booking and not an extra $10.
4.3
Nice hotel, staff so so
Didn’t appreciate extra charges like parking that weren’t quoted
4.3
They were rude and the room was so toxic with bleach. I want my money back.
4.3
Room was lovely. Front desk clerk was rude while checking in.
4.3
Room was clean. Extra charge for parking. Extra charge for breakfast buffet. Average food choices.
4.3
This is a great property if you need a little extra space and have a dog. The hotel is located right by an off-leash dog park. Extremely convenient! The staff was so friendly too. Our room was clean and comfortable. I highly recommend this property next time you are in Durango.
4.3
UNCLEAN. BAD. There were hairs in the linens: Bedding, towels, etc. This means the Housekeeping staph (No pun intended. Staph are a family of infectious bacteria) did not properly clean the room. Hair in the bedding means the staph did not change the linens after the previous guests checked out. The staph simply made the bed after the previous guests checked out. TERRIBLE. UNCLEAN. UNSANITARY. OUTRAGEOUS. REPORTED T0 THE COUNTY AND STATE HEALTH DEPTS.
We did not feel comfortable sleeping in the bed because we could not be sure what we were sleeping on. We spent an uncomfortable and skin crawling night.

Check in was a hassle the wrong day got booked due to the poor internet service I had in the area. I thought it would be a quick fix at the desk but was told I would have to contact hotels. It took me 5 phone calls every call took 15min- 25min. My booking was then booked for the wrong day again luckily they had availability and I was able to get a room unfortunately it was 6:30 pm when I finally was able to check in. Not worth the hassle to book thru a different party better to book directly thru the hotel.
4.3
I liked the location of the hotel and most of the staff was very friendly and accommodating. My room was not very clean when I checked in but the hotel staff made sure to address it. Overall, good staff and I really liked the location.

We were in Durango for the 4th of July-
The hotel was clean but the staff wasn’t very friendly. We had to get three different sets of key cards because they would get demagnetized which made it a hassle.
They claim to be dog friendly but you can’t be dog friendly and have a laundry list of things your dog isn’t allowed to do and charge the fee you charge.
The hidden fees are ridiculous, this isn’t a resort so a resort fee shouldn’t be charged and a parking fee is absurd.
4.3
Arrived, we were given a key to a room which belonged to someone else. When given an available room, the cleaning supplies were still in the bathroom. In the morning while showering, I realized I had no towel. Property was nice, very pricey so for the costs, it should have been better.
4.3
I requested a room with a king size bed and paid for it in advanced, when we got there we got a room with a king size bed and a bunk bed, the bathroom was dirty with human hair and full of dust, went to the front desk and requested another room and the front desk guy named Nick told me that he was sold out and there were no rooms available. We had to go to Walmart to buy cleaning supplies to clean the room.
4.3
The hotel is not far from downtown and walking accesible.
4.3
Nice place located not too far from a huge dog park . Wished we were staying longer here .
$40 for dog fee and $10 parking for the hotel , which I was aware from calling the hotel .

Hotels.com staff let us down. Two associates said they would help us with extending to another night and we never heard anything! We ended up calling the hotel directly to get the extra night. However, I called the hotel twice and they confirmed both times that we could extend to a second night only to be told at check-in they can’t extend third-party stays. With some time, they finally figured it out and we paid the hotel directly for the second night at a higher rate. To their credit, they upgraded our room (I’m assuming to make up for the misinformation their staff gave when I called). Their dog friendly policy is misleading as it’s more like dog tolerant (so many constraining rules you have to sign). Our toilet broke and while they fixed it, the front desk seriously asked us if we wanted them to fix it when we called to report it. Why wouldn’t I want my toilet fixed? The facility is clean and comfortable but the service was terrible from both Hotel.com and Holiday Inn. I have never worked so hard to give a corporation my money, which is infuriating.

I thought everything was excellent location. It was beautiful. It was nice but the reception he was a little rude. He wasn’t really friendly. He was really short and quick, but other than that everything was great.
4.3
The staff was extremely unfriendly, not helpful, and rude. Upon arrival we stood at the desk without acknowledgement until we asked if we could check-in. The room had zero toilet paper and the front desk said to come down and get it (after a drive and checking in to use the amenity is not an ideal situation, luckily there were 2 of us). There was no remote, the front desk said theyd look for one for us, 30 mins later we called to follow-up and they said they didnt have time. We requested a new room, which they did accommodate us with. There was no apologies for inconvenience rather it felt like we were putting the staff out. The hotel itself was clean and nice, however the rude staff made the atmosphere terrible. Spending $230+ a night for such an awful experience i will never return to that hotel with so many other options.
4.3
The place was nice and clean, but the TV didn't work right and the staff couldn't figure out the credit card info they received from the hotels.com.
4.3
Large rooms and very easy check in.
Loved how quiet and well maintained the property was.
4.3
Was a pretty good trip! The staff was friendly and helpful however problems with cleaning of rooms due to short staff. We didn't have our room clean for the three days we were there. Restaurant/bar staff remarkable and very fun! Overall I think we would stay there again.

NIce hotel. Recently renovated. Has restaurant and bar. Not walkable to downtown, but short drive. Nice staff. We had nice sized King room.
4.3
They charged me $10 for parking.
4.3
I liked the fireplace in our suite
4.3
We love the hotel, however it has changed. No more carpeted floors, its linoleum flooring. The 4th floor laundry room dryer still doesnt dry clothes. We checked in and got a room without balcony when we reserved with. Had to go back to the front they said they didnt see it booked on their end then said they had no more of those available and then said he found one.
Parking: its paid parking but if you go back to the hotel after 7 it may be hard to find parking. Maybe in the way back. Some nights its tough to find parking as you see some making their own spots. You also see people taking multiple spots, doesnt seem like they enforce proper parking.
The elevators, there are two, one was broken the whole time of our stay (9 nights)
Water pressure also was light in the shower.
4.3
Good location with good pool and hot tub
4.3
Clean, affordable.
4.3
Didnt make sense that you had to pay for parking. Charged me $10 a day for parking per car.
4.3
No safes in the rooms,
Room keys not working properly.
