Run down hotel; it needs to be refurbished. Not worth the Money we paid… hint: for beakfast go to the Main Square / jardín central in Ajijic. There you can enjoy rich Mexican breakfast in any of the local restaurants at a fraction of the hotel price.

The place is noisy and we had bad experience in the restaurant as servers were impolite and rude, definitely we will not be back to this place

The view was gorgeous. Location really nice. The service was less than expected as they did not have assistance with housekeeping throughout the day. Only in the mornings. The restroom had black mold and we requested that it get cleaned. It did not.

Very nice old school resort located in a quiet area of Aciiji on Lake Chapala. Great view of the lake. Two clean swimming pools. Two neighborhoods in opposite directions to explore each with a plaza and one with a Malecon. Meals at the hotel took quite a while to get after ordering but that was the only downside. Return trip to the airport only took a half an hour. Made contact with the taxi driver the evening before departure at the Plaza and he was at the hotel right on time...only $37.00 U.S. to the terminal.

If you want to celebrate something special, this is the place to be or if you want to have a great time, it is peaceful with great dining option and great bar. The grounds are well kept and very nice and it is in front of lake Chapala … close to Chapala center to go for a walk … highly recommended

Great place in the lake front. Try to get the rooms with the new digital doors as we saw other people struggling with the normal key doors.

Would be nice to have an elevator.

Very expensive restaurant, small portins, few options and no room service.

Overall great. Maintenance and service in dinning room should be improved. Safe box not working. Screens are very old and in poor condition. One men’s restroom was missing toilet paper and very slow service in dinning room. But it’s a nice place. Would stay again

Location is great. Staff seems lazy. Room not laid out well for anyone needing a electrical outlet near the bed. Shower head needs replacing. Screen doors need repairs/replacement (lots of flying insects). Priced high for what you get.

Beautiful view of Chapala. Very open and walkable property.

The hotel was pretty empty on this season so we had the pool all for ourselves. The kids definitely enjoyed this.
The food options were good enough and the prices affordable.

Beautiful grounds, 15 minute walk to town (or easy cab for $100 pesos). Very clean, pools are wonderful. Booking through Expedia was easy and accurate.
Only slight annoyance was the pool bar was not attended - you needed to get out of the pool, walk around the outdoor restaurant patrons, and grab someone for drinks.

The hotel has a great location. The room we had was comfortable, but I think it does need air conditioning in the rooms. Many green areas. The water in the pools was not cold, very comfortable. The general atmosphere is very quiet and calm. The food in the restaurant was good tasting, a bit pricey and had the feeling of having been microwaved. We will return.

We stayed here while visiting family. They do not speak English so be prepared for that. The facilities and people are wonderful. The food is OK, not great. The pool is fantastic but if you are there like us during a Mexican spring break or holiday, be prepared there is not enough seating. Actually probably the best place to stay in Ajijic!

The hotel advertises safes. Not a one works…they are all non operational…so disappointing. Most of the staff at front desk during the week does not speak English.
There were dead cockroaches (5) in our room when we arrived…Not good cleaning. The weekend brunch was good. Weekday breakfasts were not served warm. The front desk has no maps. We would have liked to walked around. An ice machine would be a great addition since there are no mini fridges. There are bottles of water in the room which we appreciated, but warm room temp. Ice would have been delightful.
With all the plastic bottles we used, it would be great to have a separate bin in the room for recycling. I hope the hotel recycles.
The grounds are and surroundings are lovely.

Beautiful property; we enjoyed the quiet.
Providing bottled water in the rooms is a nice touch. May we suggest leaving drinking glasses, face cloths and a box of tissue in the rooms? Also, an area where we can get coffee in the morning. We are early risers and an 8 a.m. opening at the restaurant is too late for us.
There were items on the menu that we wanted to order but were not available (lemonade, chicken wings).
Thank you.

At times it appeared that I was the only guest in the whole property. No one seen at the outdoor or indoor restaurants or the bar or the pool.
My hotel room (standard room) had an safe in the closet, but it wasn't working (out of power or batteries). When I asked the front desk to fix the safe, I was told that only the rooms that are "suites" have a workable safe. Then what is the point in installing safes in the other rooms if they will not work as such? I had to bring my passport and valuables with me every time I left the room.
Finally, I had originally reserved 6 nights at this hotel, but after only the second night, I decided that I was going to travel to the city of Guadalajara instead. I asked Expedia and the hotel's front desk if I could be given at least a partial refund for the 4 unused nights. The hotel refused to give me any prorated refund at all.
I don't recommend this hotel.
