Amazing stay. Had a great time at hotel Kimal. Very friendly and helpful staff. Parking available. They packed breakfast if you’re leaving early on tours. Highly recommend!

Location was great, the hotel had everything we needed for a comfortable stay. Staff were very friendly and helpful. We found it to be an quiet oasis after long travel excursion days.

This is a lovely property and the staff were wonderful. It might be too warm in summer as there is no AC and little ventilation. We would absolutely stay here again.

We really enjoyed our stay at Pablado Kimal. We choose bungalow and it was a great decision. Bungalows were located inside the walled aria which was very green. Every bungalow stand alone with a small porch with table and two chair. Inside was clean and have basic services like a small refrigerator and privet full bathroom. No TV but who needs TV while visiting Atacama! Only one downside is a very slow internet, but it was explained that this is generic for San Pedro. Stuff was excellent and very responsive for all our need. Restaurant was absolutely great. Complementary breakfast was above what do you expect.

Amazing oasis in the middle of the desert. Staff were super friendly and we even got a welcome drink when arriving. Rooms were spacious and beds super comfy. I’ll definitely come back.

The room was perfect. The breakfast was good for 3 star hotel. Attention of the stuff was excelent, except of the stuff at reception. Check in process is inconviniant

We liked the self-contained cabin with its outdoor porch and seating. We did not have a good night's sleep during the entire stay as the neighbor dogs would fight and bark all night. One expects quiet in the desert.

We stayed in the poblado section. WE liked this a lot.
The service was excellent. We also thought the excursion program was veyr good.

This is a comfortable, clean cabin set up, conveniently located off the main street of San Pedro with great breakfast. Friendly, helpful staff. I didn't get to take advantage of their activities because was there for work. It was not the high tourist season, so there was some noise from construction, but this was understandable and should not be the case other times. Highly recommended.

Very well located but the construction is bad. Awful bed and pillows. Bad amenities. Good breakfast. Bad lightning. Not worth the money.

A great place to stay in San Pedro de Atacama. It was off the main pedestrian street, so it was quiet. The rooms were basic but clean, comfortable and spacious. Breakfast across the street was OK. Reception staff were friendly and helpful. We had a car and were able to park it on-site. A couple of minutes up the road were all the restaurants and shops. Very convenient to all.

Great accommodation close to the main street. Staff were very helpful and efficient. We were able to organise tours through there own company at short notice. Secure parking and super efficient check in

Hotel staff was wonderful and helpful. Rooms are basic and small. No air conditioning made for very hot nights, even though there was a room fan. Breakfast was good.

Great location just off the main street of San Pedro de Atacama. The more rustic of the two Kimal hotels, the rooms are actually little cabins connected by a wood boardwalk. Staff were helpful, especially Andrea, offering suggestions about where to eat and what to see.

Extremely friendly staff and overall a great place to stay before heading out on the various tours of the region.

We stayed at hotel Poblado Kimmal for 4 nights.
The staff was very nice and helpful and also know very good English (which is not so common in Chile).
They provided a breakfast in a box for a trip that started very early and we could not eat at the hotel.
The cabin is very spacious and cozy.
The hotel's location is great and very close to the main street with many shops, restaurants and travel agencies to book tours.
We would like to thank the girl at the reception, that arranged us a private driver in 10 minutes when our transfer to the airport did not come on time to pick us.

Bangalôs displayed in zig-zag on a nice little garden form this hotel’s second location across the street of main one, where restaurant, bar and main pool are! It is a very convenient place to be and surprisingly quiet for the proximity of center of town! Restaurant is good as well. All went well. Bathrooms need an upgrade thow!

I left my passport at their safe at the front desk. When I checked out in the morning, the security guard did not know how to open it. The transfer van to the airport that I have ordered before could not wait any longer and left. Only when the front dest guy showed up, he was able to open the safe. He informed me that the front desk was only open between 7:30am and 10:30pm, and that I was supposed to get my passport during that time. I had to get a taxi to the airport for $110 US, and the hotel took no responsibility for that.
It is not a cheap hotel: $150/night. This situation could have been avoided several times:
1) the front desk person talked to me the night before because she had no idea how hotels.com (Expedia) would pay for the room since I paid directly to them. I told her that I am leaving very early in the morning, and she could have mentioned about my passport;
2) security guards could follow instructions from the front desk person and open the safe;
3) a hotel that costs $150/night should be able to afford to put safes in each person's room instead of one at the front desk;
4) a hotel that costs $150/night should be able to have 24 hour front desk instead of having security guards that are useless;
5) they could have acknowledged their screwup instead of blaming me and paid the transfer to the airport.
None of this happened. Also, no A/C.

The hotel is simple but nice and handy.
The excursions were perfectly organized in a short time and exactly as we wanted. The personal was kind, amable and efficient.
We used only the massage and that was a great experience.
I would like to recommend our guide Paulo and thank him for a wonderful planning, great explanations on everything we visited and really great professionalism!

If I pay half money for that Hotel,I would not complain,but since the hotel asking so much per night,we expected more.The bed is very small and uncomfortable,the air in the room is very dry and they dont have air conditioner,windows you cant fully open. Also there is not any TV.I got the nature and staff,but we like to watch TV before bedtime.Beside that the room doesnt have any insulation and it gets pretty noisy.

Web spent a very pleasant 4 nights, using the hotel's Excursion service, Excusiones Kimal. We throughly enjoyed the day trips out to see the Geysers, Valle de la Luna, the Lagunas Altiplanicos, Laguna Cejar,mets. The construction of the individual bungalows is of Adobe, wood and reeds. Each has a porch with chairs. Bathrooms are simple with a walk-in shower, no tub. Nice to just relax on your bed and stare at the ceiling/ thatched roof. THe complimentary breakfast is quite good, and the evening meals at the hotel were good, as well. Internet is pretty fast, allowing us to watch a few of our favorite TV shows on the iPad; there is no TV. Bed is very comfortable. Staff quite friendly.

You don't get a room, you get your own cabin, with a thatched roof and your own porch. The design is both rustic and elegant, and visually very pleasing. I really enjoyed hanging out at the pool, or on my porch. The location is convenient, only a short walk to the many restaurants and shops in town. The cabin is spacious, I just wish they used that extra space for a king bed instead of a (very comfortable) double bed. Shower was good, but hot water takes a minute or two to arrive. The staff here works hard. Our room was spotlessly clean. Front desk staff helped me print boarding passes and arrange airport transportation. Breakfast is typical fare in Chile, (sliced ham, cheese, fresh fruit, juices, yogurt, an array of breads and pastry) but you can also get eggs to order. If they delivered food and drink to the pool side patio, I could have enjoyed my stay even more, but the property is not a 5 star resort (nor at 5 star prices). San Pedro is pricey, but I felt this place was a fair value for the price charged. Didn't use the adjacent spa, but others reported their massage was excellent. Wifi was strong, but not consistently. I used the office computer when I needed to complete some important business. Days are blazing hot, Evenings were cool, but it was hard to cool off our cabin with only the tiny desk fan.

This is by no means 3.5 stars hotel. The mattress on the bed was sinking in the middle, and the pillows were of very low quality. The staff was nice and they changed the room after I complained. The hot water was on and off. The pools are small and not heated, i.e cold, I would say the temperature was in low 70s. If you are into cold cuts, the breakfast was not bad, but they didn't have eggs. We had lunch in the restaurant once, and it took them well over an hour to serve as grilled fish. The salmon I had was perhaps the worst I ever had, completely soaked in oil. My friends trout looked OK though.
The look if the room was nice (cabins), but their were small.
For $154 a night, this was dissapointing. Their tours were at least double the prices you would pay in town, although their vehicles fid look new.

The room was great; really comfortable and each one is a stand alone hut with bathroom & porch. The staff were very helpful and friendly. We only stayed 2 nights so didn't use the hotel restaurant, but breakfast was great so I imagine the restaurant would be too.

The hotel is located just off the main road in San Pedro de Atacama. The "mud hut" rooms are clean and fun to stay in. The hotel staff were extremely helpful and do their best to make sure that all their guests are happy.
