I was pleasantly surprised by this hotel. Great value for money. We had a huge room with a kitchenette and sitting area, and a really comfortable bed! Only downside was it doesn’t have a bar, but they are happy for you to bring your own booze in.

Lovely little hotel on the border of Salford snd Manchester with easy access to the city centre. Staff very friendly and helpful and hotel clean and welcoming.

Really lovely hotel, would definitely recommend and stay again in the future. Close enough to walk to main train stations and city centre for shopping etc but not too close that you get the noise of a city centre.
We did have a bit of an issue the morning we checked out as there was no hot water seemingly throughout the hotel, not just our room, so made for an uncomfortable cold wash before heading out to the Christmas markets.
There was also a bit of confusion with payment when booking through hotels.com as I was under the impression I’d paid when booking but then found out I was to pay on arrival, receptionist was great though and explained it’s a problem they’ve been having and it’s being looked into

Hotel, just 15 minutes walk to city centre, breakfast value for money,no pork bacon and sausage which was disappointing but plenty of other choice cereals, fruits, cakes ect.
Rooms very large ,spotless, bed comfortable but pillows very firm, woke up with a stiff neck.

Have used The Ainscow Hotel for two business trips now, and for the price, you really do get great comfort and value. Lovely to see the complimentary tea/coffee machine in reception with the lovely lounge where you can relax prior to your room being ready. The rooms are great, with apartment style decor - I especially love the bathrooms with The White Company toiletries complimentary, although the step into the bath in room 214 might be a bit tricky if you're shorter or have mobility issues.
Some stains on the carpet were the only real signs of wear and tear, but overall clean, comfortable and very nice rooms for a short stay in the city, and an easy walk to Deansgate in around 10-15 mins.
Breakfast was decent, although having a coffee machine like the one in the lobby in the breakfast room would've been awesome, as I felt that one gave a better quality drink to start your day.
I'll definitely be back on my next business trip to Manchester!

It was good. Nice room, but frustrating to have a bath that there wasn’t enough hot water to use. No glasses in the room for drinks.

The hotel was in a good location for our theatre trip. The room was massive, but a small double bed wasnt ideal. Staff were friendly. Sadly, despite the heating be off in the room, it must have been on full throughout the hotel.as it was so, so hot. We had windiws open all night, but the heat was suffocating and coupled with a smaller than normal bed, we had a poor sleep.

Outside doesnt look great but as soon as you enter that changes. The libby/reception is nice and comfortable with friendly helpful staff. Quick check in. Card only payments though and the website doesn't tell you that. Ground floor room was spacious, clean and well equiped although a little worn. Traffis noise was quite bad but ear plugs sorted that. Decent bathroom with over bath shower, towels and soap/ shampoo provided. Overall we wiuld stay here again and it was good value.

I was very impressed by the Ainscow Hotel. The room & bathroom were spacious, clean & the bed very comfortable. Reception staff Kher & other staff were professional, friendly & courteous. The breakfast was good & the dining area lovely. The overall facilities were excellent & I liked the comfortable seating, access to tea, coffee etc in the reception area. The overall ambience was also good.

Our room was on 2 levels with a spiral staircase up to the mezzanine level where the bed was which we wasn’t expecting. TV on each level. Plenty of sockets. Lots of room.
Bed was extremely comfortable. Room had blackout blinds. Didn’t hear any noise from other guests.
Huge bathroom. All clean.
Downstairs area had a large desk, a wardrobe, chair and sofa. Sofa had a few throws over it covering the very tatty, worn out sofa. Carpet needs a deep clean. Lots of stains which gave a first impression of it being a grubby room. It was clean though.
Extremely hot in the room where the heating had been left on. Turned it off, opened a window and had to get a fan out. No air conditioning. We were offered another fan which was dropped off whilst we were at breakfast. Our stay was in October and it was a very warm room. Dread to think what it would be like in the summer. The only thing we felt that we needed was drawers to put clothes in the same area as the wardrobe.
Breakfast was mostly really good. Just the sausages that were like rubber.
Overall a good stay. Would stay again but probably in a different cooler room.

Aweful, although the staff were extremely polite they were not helpful, breakfast was substandard and not a full english at all. Bed knackerd so slept on the sofa, when i told reception all i got was im sorry no offer to reimburse anything for that. Too hot. No bar as stated as under renovation so should have been stated on the booking. Charge for hotel car park even though your staying there. Two nights nearly 400 pounds for a substandard hotel amd stay.

Bath was very high to get in and out of though.

Hotel is undergoing an upgrade so will notice work going on.

The room looked absolutely nothing like the photos on hotels.com. Poor quality furniture which was old and badly maintained. Huge amount of dust on top of the wardrobe, noisy old fan instead of air conditioning, tiny TV that could only be seen from the bed.
Definitely not worth the money.

Would be 5 stars but 4 because we were told check in would be at 14:00 arrived at 14:00 and was told that room was not ready and come back later, came back later and check in was quick and straightforward.

Contracted a stomach bug from the uncleanliness of the hotel which has made the last week horrendous. This hotels should be inspected by public health.

I stayed at the Ainscow for 3 nights in which my room was not cleaned, bins emptied or towels changed. Within hours of my first night I began to feel ill (Diarrhoea and fever) this got worse throughout my stay, due to work commitments I could not shorten my trip. The room smelt fusky and the cleanness was questionable which I have no doubt contributed to me catching a stomach bug. My wife also stayed for the first night and she too had a sickness bug, we got to the hotel around 6ish and did not venture anywhere else.

Almost perfect for my trip to The Blues Kitchen and the Opera House to see Katie Melua concert just a shame my room neighbour sounded like he was beating his wife/girlfriend up for 40 mins around midnight on Saturday!?! Lots of shouting and things hitting the adjoining wall

Staff looked after us really well. Rooms were clean and spacious. Hotel is within 15-20 minutes walk of the centre, a station, trams etc so well located.

Nice hotel
Basic but clean. Comfy beds. Nice breakfast. Location good for me but main restaurants bit of a walk. I found local pub very nice and a scatter of restaurants.

Nice hotel, lovey staff, a great price and pretty close to Manchester City Centre.

Hotel seems okay, not a great location, but my experience was marred by extortionate overnight parking charges on arrival. £14.50 is very expensive. They said Expedia should tell people about this.
I was told i could park elsewhere, but obviously them knowing full well that the entire area is double yellow lines
I won't be returning to this hotel

was close to where i needed to go. bathroom was lovely except for basin plug didnt close. rip in duvet and light fitting bulb cover has dirt in it. the hallway carpets had several bleach marks maybe think about either replacing or get your cleaners items that stops bleach spilling

Just a quick one night stay in Manchester. I regularly use this hotel, it may seem a little out of town for some, but it’s 2 minutes from the bars and restaurants of Spinneyfields and only takes 5 minutes and you’re on Deansgate. It may be near a busy road, but it’s away from the madding crowd and on a Saturday night things can get a little wild on the streets. Rooms are spacious, clean and comfortable. Breakfast is good with plenty of choice and cheap.

No door on the bathroom so you will need to be very comfortable with whoever you share with!!
Stains on every carpet in the hall way and red stains (hoping it wasn’t blood) on the bedroom carpet
Room was large however the bed was one end and the tv was the other end so was at least meters away
Wouldn’t stay again

Only small issue was lack of cooking facilities and fridge/freezer that I had on my last visit. Otherwise fantastic! Be looking to book back here on our next visit !

Check in staff were amazing / very friendly and going out of their way to be helpful and informative about the area. Bedroom was a great size and decorated with modern theme. Fully equipped with hairdryer, tea / coffee iron /ironing board and plenty plug sockets. We thought the bed was small for a hotel. Furniture is outdated but functional. What lets the hotel down are the carpets. Stained and old but for all I know this could be part of a future plan to update alongside the rest of the hotel. Bathroom was clean, bright and well maintained.
