Our stay at Villa Eyrie was exceptional! Our master suite was one of the nicest hotel rooms we have ever stayed. The tiered layout, wrap around deck and massive bath tub in the centre of the room were amazing! But nothing beats the exquisite view looking down Finalyson Arm. Breathtaking! Every staff member we encountered from the front desk staff to the grounds man were lovely and offered friendly and caring service. Our two meals at the Alpina restaurant were lovely as well. Truly a luxurious experience!

I don't often go to special hotels and I generally go for hotels in this price range but with very low expectations. From the moment of turning around the corner everyone in the car went "Wow" Villa Eyrie is situated along the malahat and it's got some stunning views, the building is beautiful and we were so excited to enter our room. When we did we were blown away by the amount of space we had in our room, the view again was stunning and my 18 month old boy got to run around in the garden playing with mushrooms. I was so happy with our stay and the staff were so helpful from check in to check out. We went to the restaurant in the morning for a breakfast and I'm not exaggerating when I say it was the best breakfast I have ever had, the bacon legitimately melted in my mouth.
Some of the things that could use improvement but aren't that big of an issue are that the pool was set to a very low temperature, to the point I didn't feel comfortable bringing my son in. The building is a bit older so the ampage in the outlets turned off when we connected a microwave. And this might just be a personal issue but as a new driver getting out of the hotel and back on the highway was a bit scary personally.
I really enjoyed my stay at the Villa and will most assuredly stop by on other special occasions in the future.

Have always wanted to stay hee - since it first opened w/the original owners over 30 yrs. ago -- FINALLY got it done.
The rooms are beautiful.. a tad bit sparse & cold in terms of ambience .. a bit of added warmth would be nice in terms of ... IDK .. maybe a rich, esrthy colour of a throw & pillows on the chair, couch etc .. something to warm up a bit. Otherwise it was lovely - we enjoyed the jacuzzi & coffee.
The restaurant was really nice - staff were exceptional !!

Fabulous hotel staff & restaurant. The room we had was a ‘little tired’ and in need of a refit. We would definitely stay again.

We were upgraded to a suite with a spectacular view and had a wonderful dinner at the Alpina restaurant.

Wonderful staff and location, great restaurant, beautiful surroundings. The downstairs master suite can hear everything happening above and the whirlpool tub set into the living room floor fan is quite noticeable. You have to ask for the coffee pods and cups to be updated daily.

Pro- Customer service was over and beyond Went to dinner and had flowers delivered to the room and they gave my wife chocolates on their behalf aswell as a late checkout the next day. The morning of had an amazing view of finlayson arm inlet.
Con- We didn’t have room slippers and the pool was abit chilly wish they provided a hot tub for all guests. The outside decors were abit neglected but over all still beautiful, kinda felt historical.
Pro-Alpina Restaurant had the New Years 5 course mean all food was very delicious and service staff were excellent, very friendly. It was warm and well decorated.
Con- Meals had smaller than expected portions, but very very tasty and rich.
Pro- Staff were very nice to our puppy dog she loved it there, they provided a small bed and dishes for her aswell.

Our stay was nothing less than marvelous. The view from our room, the bathrobes, the comfortable bed were wonderful and the food and drink were superb. I know that this review sounds like Synonyms for Dummies but, it was a terrific two night spent in lavish surroundings.

The view at the Villa Eyrie can't be beat and we enjoyed our stay there. The people working at the front desk were all very kind and helpful. However, the rooms are in need of a good clean and update. The first thing we noticed when we walked into our room was all the markings and gouges in the walls. They clearly had not been washed or painted in a long time. It also seems to be missing those extra touches to make the rooms more cozy and comfortable. The room was very basic with the basic amenities. It feels like it has a lot of potential, but is just missing some of those extra touches.

We went to Villa Eyrie because we had read about the beautiful views from the resort. It did not disappoint. We had a room with a classic view with expansive views from our terrace. It was just gorgeous! Also, the service from the employees at the reception desk as well as the Alpine restaurant was just wonderful! Giving a shout out to Tess for her exceptional service! Food was also delicious! Overall, we had an amazing time there and highly recommend the Villa Eyrie resort!

Beautiful and unusual view. Our view looked to the view and we had a little patio. Nice updated room but the hotel itself felt a little aged and in need of some refreshing.

Great staff. Enjoyed our room with a great view.
Restaurant was great also.
Only issue is, this is a high end resort and I would expect there to be charger available for electric vehicles. They have one 110 volt plug you can use. That's it.
Considering there were 4 electric cars, ours included while we were there, this could be a nice addition. Many places we have stayed have charging and they are not all 4 or 5 star accommodations.
It would be great of they put in 4 level 2 chargers for guests, while staying or for dinner.
With more EVs on the road each day, this could be a nice to have.
Even the Malahat Lodge and Bakery has a free one south of the resort.
Something the Eyrie should consider.
