Great stay! This was our second time staying at this hotel and we love it. It’s got great amenities, and it’s centrally located to so much great stuff! And there is good food, drink and a coffee shop on site. Can’t beat it.

The location is great and the lobby is beautiful. Now, the room itself wasn’t clean (especially the bathroom). They also double charged me for the room, but it was quickly corrected once I called to get it fixed. It does have an excellent view!

This is our third time staying at the Desoto. It was our 20th anniversary and our plans changed at the last minute because of Hurricane Milton. When we got there the hotel was packed with people evacuating their homes. Amid the rush the staff could not have been nicer and more caring. The rooms weee clean and comfortable. The only thing I would say is it is an older hotel and the plumbing was a bit off at times (hot to cold to hot showers) Otherwise it was wonderful.

This property deserves between a 1 and 2 star rating. I will start with the positive. The restaurant named 1540 on property deserves 5 stars! Great food and service. The location of the hotel is also great. Now with the reality of the rest of the stay. I arrived and waited at least10 minutes in the valet line. Valet is the only option for $45 per night. The valet stood at the stand not coming to customer serve anyone pulling up. So I got my luggage out and went to him. He filled out a card for the car and I carried my luggage up 10 stairs to the door-the only way in. Then I go to check in and the women at the desk are busy talking. Please keep in mind I had pre registered by loading my credit card and drivers license into the portal I got SMS that day. Basically, saves no time. Once they noticed a couple of us waiting I showed my DL again. The room was OK except for the black mold and rust on the ceiling of the shower. Upon checkout I hand my key packet to the desk attendant and she asks what room I was in. I tell her the number and she asks WHAT? I say again. She of course could have looked in the key card packet. She then asks how was my stay……here it is. Never again at the Desoto. I travel all the time and this is the first 2 rating I have ever given! Ugh.

First thing first, check in was fast and easy. The room and bathroom needed to be updated. The shower would loose pressure and hot water, and the plumbing would make a noise when taking a shower. Says queen beds, but they are full size.. and parking is $45 a night. So overall, I would not stay again.

old, stingy and dirty towels and mold In shower. Furniture was old and scratchy. Bathroom ceiling peeling Off ready to hit your head at anytime. Staff was not Friendly. Towels had black stains and I found 4 with the hair dye looking stain. Cleaning staff is loud and will wake you up early am. Rooms don’t have a bar station or coffee, gotta but it. Hallways are dirty and lobby is old Place is nothing like The pictures. There are so many other nice hotels. This was a nice hotel years ago but it’s been abandoned. Poor staff, they look miserable.

Excellent hotel! The lobby is very elegant, and our room was comfortable, not luxurious.Refrigerator under request. The rest wasn't very good, but that was mainly due to the poor manners of many people arriving in the middle of the night, slamming doors, and talking loudly (the hotel can't choose the type of guests it receives). Pleasant pool, with free snacks and water. The restaurant is spacious, with prices appropriate for Savannah and the hotel.An outrageously expensive valet parking service; but don’t worry, you’ll find Liberty Parking nearby with much more reasonable prices. Recommended.

Perfect location as it is right in the center of the Historic District. Two negatives were no small fridge in room and the bar was only open once a the pool.

Overall, a great stay. Poolside room (not fancy, but it's an older building) and pool were great. Decent coffee at the coffee shop. Room could have been cleaner (not vacuumed or dusted), but beds and pillows were comfy. Location was fantastic! Staff was excellent and friendly.

Location was great. Quick and easy to walk to shops and restaurants. Valet staff was very polite and friendly. Some issues we ran into were: We requested towels and had to wait for approximately 3 hours to get additional towels. We didn't have a DND sign and had to request, and wait over an hour, for staff to locate one. We had a room with two double beds, of which both were made oddly; one did not have a fitted sheet, and the other had the flat sheet sideways-the top was on the side. Also, when making the reservation it was for 3 people. Ideally, there would be one for each person. Attention to detail was lacking. One of the elevators must have had a sensor issue, it almost closed fully on me, twice.

The location of this hotel was great. The two things I didn't like.... 1) double beds. No choice for queens. We were traveling with 2 kids so it was a bit uncomfortable. 2) the balcony. I upgraded to the balcony but there were no chairs or tables out there. So the added expense of that upgrade was really unnecessary. Otherwise, the hotel was great. Location was great, staff was amazing.

Great hotel! Pool was amazing sadly we could only do in one day because the other day had it shut down for some brickwork in the hours, we could use it. Even though we understood it! Staff was wonderful and made fantastic recommendations. Location was fantastic. Our room was a bit beat up but honestly had a wonderful wonderful day and loved everything. We would absolutely be back!

They are doing construction on the hotel so the property isn’t as neat as you would hope. Other than that…we had a great stay. We took advantage of the valet parking even though it was $45 a day which seems a little steep. The valet staff was WONDERFUL and they made our stay 10 times more enjoyable.
