We had a lovely stay at this hotel. Staff were friendly and helpful and the rooms were very cosy and clean. We had the best dinner in a long time in the restaurant and the breakfast buffet was well stocked as well. The only frustration is one of our rooms had a smart TV, but by the other didn't, so that was a frustration with 3 kids. Otherwise no complaints!

Love staying in the Wooden Bridge hotel ! Incredible history that surrounds the hotel is mind blowing. Staff are first class. Rooms are perfect. Food is great. Love staying here.

Pleasantly sweet and comfortable

Friendly staff and moved rooms after complaining about late night bar noise. Excellent breakfast and location perfect for exploring Wicklow. Only complaint would be about non electric cars using the charging station slots.

Had a basic room. Beds were comfortable, but everything else needs renovation, in particular, the bathroom, paper products were low but no additional ones given. Requested a room with view of golf course but had room facing the parking. The blackout curtains were too short and let in the light. No sheer curtain for privacy so had the curtains drawn all day.

Excellent place to stop if travelling to Rosslaire from Pembroke and need an overnight stay before continuing your journey Avoca Mill is nearby It has an excellent cafe shop and a mill tour

Good location and friendly staff

Staff were really friendly and helpful. Bedrooms were nice but beds very hard. We had to move to a different room on our second night as our original room was over the bar and there was noise until 1.30 that night. Main dining room is very bare and has no character but if you can manage to get a table in the original part near the bar it is lovely

One night stay. Friendly staff, nice dinner, spacious room. Very comfortable and clean but the property does feel a little aged...nothing wrong with a stay here.

Restaurant was very busy and as a result very slow. A couple of drinks orders were missed and had to be reordered. Food was good. Rooms very spacious and in decent condition. Unfortunately my room was directly above where the band were playing and was a little noisy. 30 minute walk down to Avoca so the rural location is not such a problem.

The hotel property was rather dated but this was more than compensated by the excellent staff who could not have been more helpful. Breakfast was good as were lunchtime snacks.

Great Food in Bar and lovely staff. I’ll certainly be back.

When I arrived at 7pm on a Sunday evening I thought I was in the midst of a wedding or huge party, no just an average Sunday night. Live music playing in the garden, followed by a dj in the bar and finished off by fireworks at 11pm. If I was after a quiet night I was not going to get it. The people made up for it - friendly and fun with lots of character. I couldn’t help but laugh and the frivolity of it all. Room was cosy and clean but I heard all the music and singing. The breakfast was lovely and really delicious. Great views of the ocean in the morning and an opportunity to take in a cliff walk.

Great team of employees make this place a pleasure to be here. Thank you so much for your hospitality.

Location is beautiful. Unfortunately our room was a little tired and very noisy as it faced on to the picnic tables and smoking area where other guests gathered. It was also in very close proximity to the bar where early morning cleaning/setup woke us very early.
I’m sure if our room was more modern and located at the back of the hotel our experience would have been better.

We only stayed one night at the Wooden Bridge but really enjoyed our stay! It is in the middle of the woods and very quiet. There were a couple of options for dinner and I highly recommend the smokehouse!!!! We had a great meal and a great time in the bar with live music later that evening.

I LOVED this hotel! The staff was amazing! Hotel was clean and very comfortable from the rooms to the lounge area. It is in a quiet part of town off the road so there is a little traffic, but you are across the street from the river and walking distance to Avoca Village. If you are planning to visit Glendalough or Avondale forest , this is a perfect location! The restaurant in the hotel has great food also, didnt need to go out! Very happy i stayed here!!!

We had a wonderful stay. Our room was clean and functional, the bed was huge and very comfortable. All staff was simply delightful , a special thank you to the lovely lady at reception who gave me an I phone charger when I had grabbed the wrong charger at home. The food in the Smokehouse was delicious and breakfast the next morning was great as well. I cant fault anything about our stay and will definitely return.

We needed a late check in, getting the ferry to Dublin. This was the closest place that allowed that. Also noon checkout , so managed to rest.

We had a wonderful stay at the Woodenbridge Hotel on St Patricks Day. The restaurant was great! Food was really tasty and despite having 15 people, it was served really fast. The waitresses were really friendly and took care of all our needs. The hotel is older, but still really nice, very clean, friendly staff, amazing area in Ireland! No issues staying here!
