I still get irked about hotels charging a "resort fee" that really don't provide any additional amenities. Check-in and Check-out were quick and painless. I was a late arrival and got a room next to the elevator. The room was overall clean but a lot of things could be upgraded / repaired such as the upper door latch that had loose screws, the toilet paper holders that kept falling off, and the wallpaper in the bathroom peeling back so you could see behind the floor tile. They have a nice eating area downstairs where they used to serve breakfast (but don't anymore) and a rooftop where you can go up and look around but there were always smokers there. The A/C / heater unit kept the room toasty for November but seemed to overheat at one point and had to be turned off for a couple hours before it would come back on.
Overall it was adequate but could use some repairs and updating. While it's better priced compared to other lower Manhattan properties, it still seemed a little overpriced with virtually no amenities.

An older hotel that could use some updating. A guess would be it was part of a hotel chain at on time now a smaller ownership. However the staff, and all the basic fundamentals work great. I would stay again.

Not "family friendly" at all.
The shower was all glass with two walls completely exposed to the inside of the room (no privacy at all) and the other two similarly exposed to the buildings across the way, save for some thin curtains. This also meant that the room was flooded with light all night long.
We had requested a crib for our 2-year-old, and called twice (including the morning of our stay) to confirm it would be there. When we arrived, we were told "it will be brought up soon", but it never arrived. I called the front desk, and was told that the crib they wanted to bring us was "in poor condition" and that no other one was available. I asked: "Where do you expect the toddler to sleep, then?" and was told: "We're very sorry. Call back tomorrow, and we can waive some fees or something.". Of course, the next day, they would do no such thing. The toddler slept in the bed with me and my wife, and we each had the worst night's sleep we can recall for years.
The room was small, and nowhere near as nice as in the photos online, though I'll give them a star for being clean, at least. Our whole floor reeked of weed, and people were slamming the door to the balcony constantly throughout the night.
A final thought: at $600 /night, I expected better than 1-ply toilet paper.

The hotel itself is nice. There was some peeling wallpaper in the bathroom and the shower door leaked a lot. Space was adequate and it had a good amount of storage. The television was a little small and there was a little difficulty getting it to work. The room was quiet and AC did a great job. Check in and out was quite a breeze and there was unlimited water. Understand there's a $60 per night "resort fee" which jacked up the listed price by over 35%.

The hotel's a bit old, but still in pretty good condition. Staff was nice and held my room when I couldn't check in until the next day. Close to the red & blue lines so easy to get around.
The specific location isn't great. Traffic for the holland tunnel piles up every afternoon right in front of the hotel with lots of honking. Not a ton to do right around the hotel. But easy subway to the rest of NY.

Disappointed in the rooms. Very old dated, dirty-looking carpeting that had lots of rips and tears in it. Drapery was falling off the window, shower curtain rod coming out of the tile wall. Furniture was looking really beat up. disappointed for $250!

We did not enjoy our stay here. We ended up checking out early and going to a different hotel. Our bed sheets had so much hair in them and on the floor. The AC barely worked and was told since we were so many floors up it would be hot and should cool down at night, so they had to bring a fan. The location was great but the was not comfortable and would not stay here again.

Not worth the price thats all

Our stay here was less than desirable. Our room smelled of urine, there was a red substance all over our curtains (could have been lipstick or blood), and everything was slightly dusty and was obviously not cleaned very thoroughly. Once or twice a day the room was filled with marijuana smoke. The staff was fine. They seemed friendly enough but would act annoyed when you asked them to perform simple tasks, like swap out a room key or get directions to somewhere. I personally would spend my money elsewhere.

Bathrooms terrible condition. Had mold. Thick dust on the light as though it had never been cleaned. Ever. When we asked to change rooms there was no hesitation. The staff didn’t seem surprised. I know that the bathroom floor was not cleaned our second day bc we used sunscreen and it ended up on the bathroom floor and it was still greasy when we retuned back. If they didn't clean that, what else was not cleaned. Not sure how this hotel is allowed to remain open being in the condition it is. I guess you get what you pay for. The best part of the hotel was the front desk staff.

Terrible location. Tunnel traffic completely denies transportation. Rooms are small. Bathrooms dingy.

Extremely slow internet.
About half of the weights pictured in the photographs of the exercise room were missing, and one of the treadmills needed repair.
Hair in the bathtub on arrival.

Hotel strategically based but close to the Holland tunnel. Many nights we had the car horns until past midnight and the windows we not sound proof.
The hotel is nice in general, but we were surprised to not have a mini fridge in the room during our stay.
The hallway carpets were sticky when we were walking barefoot in the hall (to get ice in the basement for example) and need a good clean.
They were offering plastic water bottles instead of having fountains, which I found is very old-school, considering that most people have reusable water bottles.
The bar was never opened in the lobby during our 6 nights stay.
The room was clean and convenient. The decorations and furniture felt like early 2000's wood and metal modern, which could be upgraded.
Overall, we didn't go for anything other than a good bed and that was it. The bed was clean and comfortable and the AC was working well and most welcomed in the heatwave week we were in NYC.

This hotel stay was half a disaster. We stayed for a week and changed rooms three times. Two out of three reception staff were unhelpful and unfriendly, straightforward rude. A simple smile or a better attitude would have been appreciated. I chose this hotel for its convenient location for my business trip; the location and price were the only positive things I can say.
On the second night, it rained, and water leaked from the window, creating a puddle, filling half of bucket of water. Engineering staff could only move us to the next room, which also had the same issue. To our surprise, we heard voices the next night, meaning the hotel staff put new people into our previous room with the leaking window that was watering the floor, which I find a little strange. The bed was okay, the bathroom had little space for toiletries. Since it was a business trip, I didn’t spend much time in the hotel, but this was the worst stay I’ve experienced in many of my travels. The location and price were the only attractive aspects. I have another week in the city soon, but I won’t be staying here again.

Clean accommodations! Can be heavy on traffic, as the entry to the Holland tunnel is at the end of the block. 15 minute walk to little Italy was nice 🙂.
