Perfectly fine stay for a night, very good location for shopping in the city.

good and safe stay, lovely workers.

This place is basic but clean and in a good location for the centre of town, but it is on a main road. The staff were very helpful when I was there, but there were bed bugs in the bed which I unfortunately discovered on my first night. They were fully booked for the rest of my stay so I needed to move, but all of that was beyond their control and they were helpful. They told me they had already started to process a full refund without me having to ask, however it is a full week later and I've still heard nothing. I rang them last week and they assured me they had processed the refund, so I waited several more days, but still nothing. Upon speaking to Expedia today they told me that the hotel had never started to process the refund! They are processing it (with a small amount of compensation to cover extra costs incurred) now, but the hotel never even started it and they reassured me several times that they had.

Unbelievably noisy, no soundproofing to rooms. Very clean though but not great for a light sleeper. Music very loud downstairs in restaurant can be heard in room. Someone making very loud mobile call on hallway late last night. Location is great for city. Odd check in process. Ear plugs saved the day. Get what you pay for. Would be fine for someone who sleeps through anything and would make it great value for money.

Namaste Palace Hotel states three things; it is cozy, cost-effective and clean. It holds up to these and only these very well. As there is a restaurant attached and the walls are quiet thin, you can hear not only other the patrons and the music in the restaurant but the other guests in the rooms next to you. Some notice of when music would stop and start for the day would have been incredibly helpful to allowing me to time when I sleep. The bathroom and shower is communal and kept to a clean standard so that wasn’t an issue at all. The beds are extremely soft so if you aren’t a fan of soft mattresses, you may want to steer clear. As a solo traveller, if you attempt to book a table for yourself in their restaurant through the QR codes in the room - you just can’t.
Overall, my experience was good but some notice about noise levels would have been greatly appreciated.

Handy for the city centre. Ideal for one night. Great restaurant downstairs.
Traffic noise the only downside and noise from other rooms, as walls thin. I can sleep on a washing line so no problem for me!

Good location for the city centre and to visit daughter in Uni accommodation. En suite door had a window in it and didn’t close
properly so not practical. Stains on bed and sofa and walls. Bedding looked clean however and towels nice and large and clean. Would be very disappointed if paid full price but as used Tesco vouchers only paid £38 for a two night stay in the family room.

The staff were friendly enough, and kept the room clean. The two bottles of water provided on arrival were much appreciated.
However, having to go down a corridor for toilet and washing facilities would not be to everyone's taste, nor would the location on a main road (though earplugs are provided to block the noise of the traffic).
The venue seems very much like a side project for the restaurant next door. The constraints of working within a listed building mean that the improvements that guests may seek are unlikely to happen.
Unless you're operating to a limited budget - as I was - there are better options available in Norwich.

Quite and clean

The room was clean and okay but the blinds didn't really block out the light so was a bit irritating in the morning. We had one towel between 2 but I assume this was an oversight and I didn't ask for another so no issue! Cheap, clean and cheerful. ~Traffic was a bit load in the morning but I assume of they put double glazing in it would cost a lot more and we were getting up anyway.. The restaurant was great - lovely food, great staff really enjoyed it.

The wall is the room were all marked and dirty. The window left a cold breeze in in the bathroom and the heating would not go above 21 degrees. It was so loud there. You can hear people talking in other rooms. People were knocking my door after 24.00 hours. I just ignored them. The guy who checked me in was really nice. Nice size room. Clean bedding and comfortable bed. Short walk to a supermarket. Check out was not good. Drop box for cards was not secure.

I booked one room for one night. The room was quite dirty with a lot of stains on the walls and old furniture but the bedsheets were clean if quite worn. The room was really cold, even after I turned the heating up and it turned off during the night so woke up freezing. The window is single pane so that makes it cold and also quite noisy as it’s on the main road. The shared bathrooms were clean. The TV was meant to have Netflix but that didn’t work. I wouldn’t stay here again. The restaurant downstairs is great though!

Have strong strange smelling along the corridor and in the room. No parking. Smashed broken car glasses on the ground around the hotel plus 'my car is equipped with tacking system' notice from a private car nearby the hotel strongly indicate this is not a safe area. Avoid if you can.

Cheap and chearfull

A bit like a cross between a youth hostel and a cheap hotel. Shared bathrooms which were very clean, bedroom was OK but light bulb in lamp didn't work and "OK" button on remote control didn't work so I couldn't confirm any selections. Staff were very friendly. No reception so you must check in before 10:30pm.

Room was poor, not even a sink in the room, wall were quite thin, I could hear next door snoring all night and with it been on the road side, the traffic hardly stopped (no double glazing). Heating control was coming off the wall

I appreciate how cheap it was (£17.50 each for our double room) and so for comfort and room size etc I was really pleased and definitely value for money. Great if you just need to escape for a night etc.
I still would expect at least stainless sheets, even if they were just cheap replacements, and decent customer service.
I wanted a late check out which is £5 per hour and even after discussing it for 10 minutes on the phone I had to explain again to the guy in the hallway before he even let me back in my room. The guy I was staying with was waiting outside on the snow whilst I was explaining that I’m already extended for 2 hours and that I need to get my key card out. He told me it expires at 11 and offered me nothing but to stay in the room while I pack so I’m not stuck out.
He looked overly cautious and was looking at us like criminals and then waiting around for me, before asking me for the money in cash before my 2 hours were up (despite agreeing to pay after).
I won’t be coming back as there’s other cheap one night stays but I’ll be honest in that the shared bathroom facilities are very very nice compared to hotels with shared bathrooms in the area.

It was awesome

Our room was en-suite it’s all we needed . Close to city centre . It was cheap to stay compared to other hotels but it was clean , comfortable bed and nice en-suite . Also had a little breakfast left for us . We stayed for 2 nights and would definitely stay again

With the hotel being a-joined to the restaurant it’s a great way to sample fine Indian vegan/vegetarian cuisine whilst staying in the pleasant city of Norwich.
Centrally located the hotel was easy to find and ideal for exploring the various points of interest.
Despite the restrictions of “lockdown “ we had an excellent 1 night stay all helped by the cleanliness of the room, the excellent food and very friendly and helpful staff

We were greeted with an excellent service and very welcoming the hotel itself was very good clean and tidy and peaceful, We decided to eat in the hotel which happens to be a Vegan Indian restaurant and we must say it’s some of the best Indian food we have ever had.
So even tho it a little dated we had a fabulous stay and well done to all the staff thank you.

I made this booking on behalf of my contractors to stay in - the hotel states that it has a restaurant - when I called to make the payment for my contractors to be able to eat, I was advised that the restaurant was not open on a Monday and as it was an Indian restaurant, I was supposed to be aware of this. In addition to this, there was an admin error with one of the guests staying, he was advised he would not be able to check in and his booking would be cancelled. This was finally resolved after speaking to management at our company, and it still took some convincing to get them to allow him to stay in the room we had booked for him. The overall impression I got from the staff was that they were rude and unwilling to help - It is safe to say we will not be using this hotel again.

The email below was sent to Namaats Palace on the 30th June and NO RESPONSE AT ALL!!
I also chased with an email on the 2nd July but to no avail.
Disgusting customer service
Dear Namaste Palace
As my husband Michael discussed on the phone to ILKA yesterday at 8pm we decided not to stay at the Namaste Palace hotel and instead drove back to Kent and ended our weekend birthday break before we had begun.
We had several issues with the hotel and have listed them below in priority.
Window height dangerous as allows a 2 year old to climb out or accidentally fall 2 stories onto the concrete below which would be fatal.
Door handle not lockable from inside - yet again this is a child issue as my son was able activate the handle to leave the room. Our worry was he could do this in the night when we are asleep.
Room temperature - room was 27 degrees with the window open at 8pm. I am in my in third trimester of being pregnant and our son is 2 years old. This level of heat is far from comfortable and with no air conditioning.
Access into the room with a buggy.
The access into the room involved carrying a buggy up 2 sets of stairs which was challenging.
Mirror fronted wardrobe has broken glass which is dangerous for a child.
Arrival involved waiting outside next to a main road with a 2 year old who could run off onto the dual carriageway A147, as no reception available and no assistance with bags.
I AM UNABLE TO ADD THE REST OF OUR COMPLAINT!

The room was clean and very nice. The bathrooms were shared but reflected in the price. Ed

If you're planning to go to this hotel, take alot of coins with you, because they do not have parking for customers! Also, it said that I have breakfast included in the price, but nobody ask me anything about breakfast....very bad experience....Shared bathrooms, shared toilets, will never go back to this"hotel"

Shame not on suite but that’s reflected in the price- parking available opposite and if Saturday a couple of pounds from 5.30pm until 9am Sunday morning

The room was very hot and had no air conditioning. When I requested a fan ,I was told there were only two fans available for the 11 rooms in the hotel. The staff member then continued to make excuses that they are not responsible for this hot weather . I told him that was not a solution to my problem. The three bathrooms and showers had no ventilation and again there were queues. The bed was soft and we could not open the window for cool air to flow in as it was noisy due to being situated on a main road plus the fact that it was not double glazed windows. Not an enjoyable stay at all.

I stayed in the standard double bed. The room is very clean and bed comfortable . Also love the break fast but the room has no ensuite bathroom. I had to walk to the end of the hall to find a bathroom. I spent just a night. Overall it was not entirely a bad experience.

Had all the facilities, was clean and quiet, conveniently situated to town. Very reasonable rates.

No en-suit in rooms. Did not appreciate that when booking. Also had front room overlooking a main road which can be noisy. No parking but there is a paying (24hrs) car park across the street.
