George was extremely obliging and helpful. The apartment was clean and comfortable. The entry and stairs were filthy, however and the streets and bars outside were very noisy with cars hooning through the night and bar patrons making sure they could be heard.

This was a total bait and switch. We only stayed one night. upon arriving and realizing that we were absolutely not in the property shown in the booking, we contacted the property manager who informed us that our booking had maintenance issues, so they changed us- without any heads up or refund or credit. Felt like a scam. The place we stayed in was very sub par.

The apartment itself is gorgeous, well located and in great condition.
First issue was with the instructions on how to access the flat once you went down an alleyway. They were not clear to say you had to go through a door that looked like a business to get to another flight of stairs to the flat. One phone call and that was cleared up.
Second issue was that there was no lighting in the staircase OR the alleyway and both were very dark.
Third issue was that the gate to the alleyway was locked from the street side and we could not get out. A phone call and someone had to come to let us out. NOT SAFE AT ALL.
If they resolve the three issues, then this would be a prime place to stay and I would stay again.

This is definitely not the apartment that we ended up at. I felt like it was a bait and switch situation. I reached out to the owner via email and he was non responsive. I finally had to call him and he sent me directions on how/where to p/u keys. I realized it wasn't the same address and called him back. He told me it was too late to get into the pictured apt & reassured me it was comparable. Such BS this place was old, entrance in an alleyway that was loud & noisy all night. No air, so we had no choice but to keep windows open, only couple of towels for 2 people for 3 nights and one measly hand towel in the kitchen, with no paper towels or napkins. It had 2 tea bags. No living space only 2 bedrooms, kitchen & bathroom that was horrible. The sink wouldn't drain and shower was bad. Parking was far away. I specifically rented a "Modern" full apt because we had been traveling and wanted to be able to wash clothes. There was a tiny washer, but no dryer and needless to say no where to dry clothes. Tried letting some hang dry and after 2 days still wet! It was not a good time. I feel very cheated and my companion was upset.

It should be noted that although this was advertised as a first floor apartment, you had to climb 3 flights of stairs to get to the first floor.

George was very communicative and helpful. The location was perfect. Right in the middle of everything and walking around Inverness was extremely easy from the apartment.

The after was different from what it said on the booking but it was only around the corner, so wasn’t too much of a hassle.

Owner advised that we would not be staying at the Apartment advertised due to double booking but he had arranged for two rooms at newly opened B&B 10 mins walk away! That said, we were welcomed there by the owner, on early evening arrival, to a quiet comfortable guest house. Rooms there were clean, quiet and equipped to high standard. Not sure, therefore, if this review applies to a Hotels.com listing but credit to the host for enabling us to end our holiday on a high note.

We did not stay at the Apartment advertised. On arrival we were directed to another nearby. Apartment was clean and comfortable and adequate enough for our short stay, though noisy from people on the street into the early hours.

Turned up at property. Someone else was in and refused to open door. No communication from owner at all. Tried to phone - no answer. Left stranded at door and had to find emergency accommodation elsewhere. Did let the owner know about arrival time and nothing. This was supposed to be our anniversary getaway. Terrible place
