A little pricey, but worth it for the views alone!

The views for Hotel Bodmi were UNMATCHED. The mountains are basically at your front door. It was a beautifully kept space and the food was delicious as well! We ate dinner and two breakfasts and all were lovely! The staff was very attentive and helpful!

The hallways are dark so it’s a little hard to see to bring our stuff in and out. The beds were comfortable enough but the pillows could have had better support.

Great views for the Mountain Eiger.

My room for family was 228, the view was very nice, face to the Eiger Mountain. Great views.

To get to the hotel, we prefer take the bus, not by foots.

Minor flaws in a lovely hotel with wonderful staff.

The staff are fabulous. So kind, friendly and helpful despite their long hours. Such an asset to the hotel. The position of the hotel is great. Walking down the path by the hotel brings you out in the village below directly opposite the bus and train stations, wonderful for getting around. The village itself has everything within a couple of hundred metres of the train station. Be aware. The walk down ( and obviously back up) from the village is STEEP. I would not want to be pushing a buggy or a suitcase. The bus stops 100m from the hotel though, and runs very frequently, and is free with a little travel card provided by the hotel. Last bus back is 18.44 from the bus station. The views from the hotel were mostly obscured by cloud when I stayed, but are spectacular, well worth a balcony if you’re there in summer ( an ordinary summer; despite staying in early July it was very cold and wet when I stayed. Literally English February weather. ) the hotel was spotlessly clean everywhere, including communal areas,rooms and bathrooms. The food was pretty good in the restaurant. Nice wines.WiFi pretty good, plenty fast enough to watch movies on my iPad. I had my dog with me. It’s a dog friendly hotel. She was the only dog there, smallish and very well behaved. If you don’t like dogs, don’t be put off. If you travel with yours, this is a great option. All the cable cars, trains and buses are dog friendly and we did NOT have to pay for her to travel on them. I think the jungfraujoch top of Europe cable car charges though, but I didn’t use it. I purchased a jungfrau pass, definitely worth it for ease of use, skipping lines etc. Happy travels. Switzerland is gorgeous, and its people very friendly.

The bed was hard. Bathroom dated ( but very clean, lots of hot water, plenty of towels). Similarly, the carpet in the bedroom has seen better days, but is clearly of good quality, and again very clean. The tv sadly has no English language channels, despite teasing with BBC and CNN, there was no reception on the cable, so I assume they don’t subscribe. No smart TV, so no option to log into Netflix. WiFi was pretty good, so I watched films on my iPad. Also, Swiss plugs are not the same as the standard French 2 pin sockets. Not a criticism of an entire nation, obviously, just a general point. None of my electrics could be used as I had French style adaptors with me. There are 2 old style USB ports by the bed side lights, which I used to charge my phone and iPad. If you have the new high speed USB cables, they won’t fit. Might be worth googling adaptors for Swiss sockets, if you’re from the UK, and purchasing a couple before you come. I really enjoyed my stay. The hotel was comfortable, safe, great views, fantastic staff, and a couple of minor issues in no way detracted from the experience. I would definitely stay again.

الاستقبال ممتاز ومريح للزائر جدا في كل مره تدخل فيها للفندق، الفتاتين في الاستقبال كانوا رائعين وممتازين ، كل الفنادق الفخمه التي زرتها في المنطقه لم تكن بنفس مستوى الترحيب والابتسامه، فعلا الضيوف والفندق محظوظين بهم

لا شيئ، يصنف من الفنادق المتوسطه من ناحية حجم الغرف والاثاث مع موقع جيد جدا

Amazing view at the breakfast and from room, it was a lovely stay and comfortable stay.

The view in between mountains is so beautiful. Breakfast is nice and have great options for vegetarian too. There is playing area near bar. The rooms and facilities are nice. Staff is very helpful. Best place for people who like to hike and walk in mountains, landing place for paragliding. Thanks to the stafff, All staff is kind and helpful. Siskia was so helpful.

Difficult to reach hotel later at night as no bus.

Breathtaking view from the room and you will be woke up by the amazing view! Staffs are super nice

the breakfast buffet consist of different variety and the food is amazing. The restaurant have a very nice view that you can have your breakfast and seeing the cable car to the First! I had to check out early next morning and the staff are very helpful. She helped me to do the check out in advance and reminded me that there is no bus in the early morning due to Saturday. She helped me to call the taxi in advance and also asked the kitchen to prepare a take-away breakfast for me to enjoy! I felt very warm-hearted and thank you so much! I enjoy my stay here and I must come back again if I visit Swiss again

A wonderful stay at the charming Bodmi. Spectacular views and the team here are lovely!

Our stay at Bodmi was sublime. The mountain view was breathtaking and it was a dream to stay at Bodmi as the welcome was top notch especially as it was my Birthday and also Peter in the restaurant really looked after us on both nights we dined at their restaurant. Peter is a star! The food in the evenings was really delicious so thank you to the chef! There is a lot of food for breakfast which is great for fueling up for the day ahead! Great scrambled eggs! This is a charming and traditional place to stay and it was lovely and quiet which is what I was after - I did not want to stay in the main centre as it was so busy there. If you stay here you get a free bus pass so that is a great bonus. The staff are warm and welcoming here - thank you!

Bon séjour mais rapport/qualité prix insuffisant

Le fait qu’il dispose d’un restaurant et d’un spa. Le personnel est très gentil. Si vous souhaitez venir skier, l’hôtel est aux pieds des pistes donc super. Nous y sommes allés pour la coupe de Ski à Wengen. C’est très accessible en transport public avec un arrêt de bus à côté de l’hôtel.

Les lits n’étaient pas confortables. De plus, c’était 2 lits de 90 mis ensemble et donc un trou se formait lorsque nous dormions. Nous pensions manger à l’hôtel mais la carte proposait des plats assez sophistiqués avec des associations de goûts qui ne nous ont pas parlés.

The way to the hotel was a little bit hard by a car because the street was narrow and curved. But it deserved it for the great view.

Great Location, value for money

The Hotel Manager Martina was extremely helpful during our stay. I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone looking for spacious, friendly and scenic view of the mountain and cable car.

The only downfall is the transport as the taxi to this location from the main station they charge 30CHF but you can come by bus Free until 7pm. if you arrive after 7Pm then the option is taxi (if you are with young kids) but sometimes you have to wait for 1 hour. Its not a negative point but families with young kids should plan this well.

Beautiful place, can't wait to come back!

Absolutely beautiful! We loved the views from our balcony and the morning breakfast. The room was large with plenty of space for four of us.

To avoid the steep walk up to the hotel, you have to catch the bus, which can be a challenge if you are on your own schedule. They only come once every hour and stop running around 6:30 PM.

our best stay in grindelwald

we absolutely love bodmi! room is spacious with balcony directly facing the eiger. breakfast has a variety of options and an amazing view of mountains and paragliders. staffs are very friendly. sauna place is a bit small but well functional. the location is perfect for us - a quiet and beautiful neighborhood, we so much enjoyed taking walks in the surroundings.

if you arrive at the hotel from the train station / first station, it involves a 5min uphill walk (but a great hiking experience haha)

Quiet and beautiful location above Grindelwald

Location was perfect, in a quiet space that was a short walk from the center of Grindelwald. Staff were extremely friendly, we had a large room with a great view! We did not use the spa facilities, but imagine that would be a great addition to the stay. Breakfast was nice with a lot of various options for different diets. We stayed here the night before a local race, and the hotel started breakfast 1.5 hours earlier to accomodate the racers, which was very nice. Parking was free, rooms were large with plenty of storage space.

The beds could use updating, ours was very soft without much support, and was a bit loud when moving in the night. I assume the nightly price went up due to high demand during the race weekend, would be interesting to see the room prices during a standard seasonal weekend!

The greatest room and view ever!

The location was beyond my imagination, my room on the third floor had the most beatiful view i have ever had in any room. the room was huge, with 3 bedrooms and a large living and dining area. the kitchen was very well equiped. The breakfast was also great with many options, lacking only a toaster.

Excellent views, clean and very friendly staff. Breakfast was 5 star.

No food available on arrival so we had to walk back into Grindelwald after having just walked up from the station in the pouring rain. A hotel shuttle would make things smoother, we found the bus times did not always work and the last bus was quite early in the evening.

The best family room with amazing views through big balcony

Best views from family rooms, big balcony. We stayed 3 days with kids. Staff were great, also loved the breakfast. Its up hill though. We had the car, else you may take a bus from the stop. If I ever return, shall surely stay again.

It was fabulous, however, a couple of things to note. Its fairly costly and there's nothing too close if you need food etc.

Gorgeous location outside of the busiest parts of grindelwald yet very accessible to all attractions

Location, balcony overlooking the mountains, tasty food offered for dinner, very nice spa.

My only negative was that the pillows are a bit too large and soft.
