This was the dirtiest place I have ever stayed at. The blankets smelled dirty with old blood stains. On the first night I witnessed cockroaches. The room smelled like cigarettes. The hallway smelled like mildew. Our curtains were broken and felt unsafe in the first floor. The microwave was not working. There were sticky spots in the carpet that felt like gum. On the other hand, the employees were friendly.

Where do i start? 3 ice machine that still dont work. Bed sheets were dirty from previous occupation. And Cockroaches were everywhere. I give this place 1 star. They were lucky to get that.

After a long day at Legoland, we arrived to this hotel at 9:30pm. We were assigned a room on the 3rd floor. Upon opening the door to our room and turning the light on, 40ish cockroaches fled the entry way. We turned around and went back to the front desk to notify them. The employee asked if we would like a different room or a refund. He wasnt in shock or disbelief so they must already know this is an issue. Do not book this hotel. We got a refund and were stuck looking for a last minute safe and clean hotel for my family to stay in.

Unfortunately, the sofa was extremely dirty and had holes in it. The sheets were stained, the water did not drain in the sink and worst of all, there were roaches in our room. I would not recommend this hotel to anyone.

The first room had cockroaches all over the room. The second room had a broken AC and the trash hadn’t been dumped from the previous guests. The blanket had a large stain on it. The front desk receptionist tried his best to help but he ended up refunding someone else’s room when we told him we were leaving. He also didn’t tell us the main AC was broken down until we left.

Staff was pushy to want us to pay for cash for the reservation and seemed irritable when we stated we wanted to pay with our card. Facility had pool, gym, and all spaced besides rooms closed. Room was dirty, furniture frayed and pulled damaged, carpet always felt wet, found several bugs/roaches crawling around.

Room was not cleaned well. Found a dead bug in the bed. NO towels were in the room; had to go to the desk to request towels. Bathtub was not clean. Very disappointing! The building looks very nice on the outside, but it is not as nice on the inside. It is definitely not a place I plan to stay at in the future unless they really clean up their act.

I complained about dogs barking and the people had their door open 3 times and nothing was done about it. I had 2 babies and we were kept up because the dogs kept barking. I asked for towels and never received them. Worst hotel I've ever stayed at.

There was no Air Conditioner so we slept in the car the 2nd night as it was to unbearable. We also vouldnt get anything other than hand towels as thry said they ran out so we had to go and purchase towels and purchased a fan. This was the worst accomadations Ive ever had since being on deployment. I having it posted in the Base papers to tell their out of town guest to stay away from this location.

Hotel room was nice…but some issues…the heavy slider door to the bathroom was broken and hard to slide open and shut. I notified the front desk and was told maintenance would repair it in the morning…three day stay and it was never repaired. Had towels the first night, requested more,; they never came. Apparently they were short of linen, staff had to borrow from an unoccupied room. Otherwise my room was nice and spacious. This hotel could be 4 stars, but due to neglected maintenance, lack of towels and spotty service, it is a borderline 2 to 3 star hotel.

I reserved and paid for a 2 queen bed room two months ago. When we arrived, an unfriendly desk clerk tried to charge me for the room. When we went to our room, the door was partly open and the bed was unmade. I went back to the desk to resolve the situation. The clerk asked if I had reserved on Expedia-not sure what difference that made! We were given a different room with 2 beds. The hallway carpet was in bad shape and smelled like urine. The room smelled like mildew-we turned on AC hoping it would help. The couch had tears in it. One bed had a blanket, the other did not and there were no spares in the room. We had three towels, one hand towel, no washcloths. After closing the drain on the sink, it would not reopen. Two of us showered in the morning, the first got a hot shower, the second got a lukewarm warm shower. There were problems outside the room as well. The back door that was supposed to be accessed by key card did not close tight and had no way to latch it. The pool was closed and empty, the exercise room was closed. Despite having a 2 night reservation-we found a different hotel the next day and left. I didn’t even attempt to get my money back after the poor check-in experience. The only positive thing at the hotel was that the air conditioner worked very well in cooling the room.

One of the best bangs for the buck I’ve been in. The only thing that I did not care for was the sticky feel of the floor. But that may be attributed to the high humidity. After having left the A/C on for quite some time, that sticky feel remained. Other than that though, this was a great place to stay.

Initial thought when pulling into the driveway was the property was unsafe. There looked to be people living in their cars loitering in the parking lot around their car. The room itself was spacious, but extremely out of date. The couch was filthy with stains that my kids were not allowed to sit on it. The carpet was also filthy with a mystery sticky spot on it so we wore our shoes in the room from the point on. Hairs in the shower, toilet and floor. There were also bugs in the toilet area. I would have rather stayed at a motel 6.

Would not recommend this at all! Came as a family for Legoland. Hotel was not clean when we arrived. Pull out couch still had dirty sheets on it. “Clean” towels in the bathroom had blood stains, and three times in three days they didn’t have any more clean towels to provide us. Floors were dirty and it smelled terrible upon arrival. There were crumbs all over the kitchen floor, microwave had dirty food still in it, and paper towel roll was dirty. They had no boxes of tissues anywhere in the building, even upon requesting. Living room air conditioning did not work. Worst experience at a hotel I’ve ever had!

This is tbe most disgusting place i have stayed in years! When I walked in I thought it looked a little shady. Then I got to my room and was thinking it smelled extrememly clean! That was to hide that nasty smell when place has cockroaches crawling on EVERYTHING!! THIS PLACE SHOULD BE TORN DOWN! I couldnt even eat in the room for fear of cockroaches in my food. The whole experience was horrible, should at least get one nignt refunded. i should have canceled and checked out before it was too late to cancel my second night. I cant believe that this once beautiful hotel is a.cockroach infested garbage hole!

Terrific value. It’s an older property, but the room was very comfortable! I loved the full size refrigerator and stovetop. The pool was closed, but they are working on it and they said there are plans to start updating/renovating the rooms. Great location, close to the beach, Del Mar and Legoland.

My 1st room was hot although the air conditioning unit was on 60deg and high fan. Only hot air was blowing out. My 2nd room was a little better but again the AC unit was on 60 Deg yet warm air was blowing resulting in a restless night.

It’s a motel 6 Pros: -Check in was fast and easy -10 minute walk to the beach. -Staff was cool. -AC worked Cons: -Had the insert the key card multiple times to get the door to open. -Pool and spa were out of service, no notices. -Laundry room was out of service, no notices. -Roaches in the kitchen. -Dead bugs stuck to inner door frame of the bathroom. ¯\_(⊙︿⊙)_/¯ -Mold on the bathroom walls. -Room furniture stain and gross. -Hallways have a heavy smell of wet carpet or something wet. Besides its location, there’s nothing this motel has to offer. Got a room for 4 days for under $800. On Expedia it was labeled as a “Suite 6”with convincing pictures of the property fully operational..Staff was cool as they were doing their jobs. But it seems management is lacking or just doesn’t give a dam about the property.

The property is in major need of an upgrade. The staff was nice and welcoming and the only nice thing about the room was the sheets were clean. The rest of the room was dirty. The bathroom floor has mold in the corners and lacked a fan for ventilation. The roller door for the bathroom was extremely hard to use, we had to lift it up and pull hard to get it to open and close. It was also stained and dirty with paint that was peeling on it. The couch had a rip on the arm, was also stained and dirty everywhere. The walls and baseboards around the kitchenette was dirty and stained with food spots and grease. The telephone didn’t work at all and the TV remote was missing. The room was non-smoking but when we entered the room, it had a strong odor of smoke and there was a burn mark on the countertop. There was also an open hole in the wall underneath the TV. We were told at the front desk if we needed any toiletries to ask but when I inquired about a toothbrush, I was told they didn’t have any. The room had no toiletries despite the website saying every one had them. This property should not be offered online for booking until they’ve upgraded all of their rooms.

My worst experience in years and in LA No bar soap, no toilet paper, dirty rugs, dirty towels, small animals in bed, no AC it was super hot, dirty pool, dirty shower and tube, dirty dishes in the kitchen area. I have photos of everything. So sad to have this kind of experience in this country. I should get a full refund.

If you're thinking of booking a stay here, DON'T! It's a nightmare. The pool is closed and algae green The entire pool area is closed off. Unlike the false advertising of a beautiful clean clear pool on the website. There is no continental breakfast, the entire dining area is closed off to guests. The hallways are dark, and a pungent moldy smell lingers throughout. Our 3 year old daughter caught a stomach virus during our stay. And both my fiancee and I caught covid. It was an ill ventilated room. The window didn't open. And all the ventilation came from a wall A/C unit. The floor was dirtier than most motel rooms. The couch was stained and had cigarette burns. The refrigerator smelled of expired food. There was silverware stuck in the garbage disposal. All in all horrible and filthy amenities.
