Good location close to both train station and bus station. A bit to go to the main street. A lot of restaurants close to the hotel. Pleasant beds, clean hotelroom and good size of the room. A very nice garden in the middle of the hotel. Breakfast was ok, americano seems to be a little bit cold, but latte where perfect. We used the transfer service to/from airport and would do it again.

Nice hotel that is well located, staff was very friendly, our room had a balcony with a lovely view to the courtyard

The hotel room had some good points such as a decent shower, friendly staff, and accessibility to the stations. The bed matttreses were very poor however. I later noticed previous reviews where this was flagged as a issue. We had a double bed and two single beds for our use but could only use one single and one half of the double for sleep, as the other single one and other half of the double mattress were not fit for sleeping on, springs had gone. As the hotel was fully booked we could not change rooms.

Our short stay was really good! The reception staff were very friendly and helpful , the room clean and the breakfast fresh and delicious. Situated close to airport and with sea views- if you were passing through Catania as we were this hotel is perfect

We have been four days in this hotel. We loved our stay there. Our room was clean and very spacious. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The breakfast was free and delicious. We would definitely stay there again.

Very nice hotel. Hotel staff was very friendly and helpful… the downside was no on site laundry and yet it is included in their amenities

The room wasn't ready at 2pm check in time, but when we had access it was clean and sufficient. The location is excellent. breakfast was good.

Our room was wonderful barok style and big. Airconditioning and water in the fridge. Breakfast was great in the garden with lots of plants. Loved the ladies behind the bar who made nice cappuccino’s. The shower door was broken and dirty and the toilet flush button did not work. The 3 receptionists we saw were cool ….

Very conveniently located, right across from the train/bus station. we only stayed one night as we had to be at the airport (so access to airport bus) very early in the morning. Clean and comfortable room, welcoming staff.

The hotel bathroom was moldy and very old. The pictures do not do it justice. The staff was great and the food was good. The area of the city is very dirty and somewhat unsafe

We chose the Villa Romeo due to its location to the main train station, it's just across the street. We were only staying one night before flying from Catania to Rome. The hotel is old but well maintained. We enjoyed our brief stay. The staff were friendly and helpful. The breakfast buffet was typical but could be eaten in the beautiful courtyard which is filled with plants, very pretty. Overall a fine visit.

Really liked the centre courtyard for breakfast. So convenient as we arrived by train and could easily walk to the hotel

This property has a lovely courtyard garden for breakfast. The downside of this is that if you have a room overlooking this you are plagued by mosquitos. I had more than 25 bites on one hand alone! They hadn't managed to spray the rooms yet and did not supply repellent plugs. We had booked a suite but this was unavailable so were moved to this room.

Very helpful staff. Great value hotel near station.

Very convenient spot across from the train station. Breakfast was very well done with lots of variety. Staff very friendly and helpful. Carpet in room very old , stained and needs updating.

The hotel was charming and comfortable. The staff were exceptionally helpful. Convenient location for transportation (train and bus stations. However, very few restaurants other than fast food. The situation was saved by one restaurant across the street, Manga. The three simple meals I had there were good.

Great staff, clean room, convenient walk to Catania Centrale train station. Actually a 3.5 star hotel.

Very convenient location. Just cross street from train station and 15 minutes walking to city center

A nice surprise to stay in the former palace, with historic architecture, beautiful décor, modern comforts and great service they offered. Close to the train and bus stations. 20 min walk to the center of Catania. Staff at the reception were professional, friendly and very helpful. Francesco helped us add 3rd night at Hotel Villa Romeo (It sold out at the date when I booked months ago), and called for canceling the other hotel. We had a large 4-persons room, clean and comfortable. The shower head holder was broken, it got fixed the next day without request. Overall, we highly recommended this underrated 3 star hotel.

The hotel is very conveniently located within walking distance from the train station, though the area around the station is not very attractive. The hotel itself is a immaculately restored palazzo with access from the rooms to serene and tranquil courtyards. The front desk staff is not only very professional but personable and helpful, inspiring confidence. A special thanks to Francesco! We enjoyed our stay very much.

We loved our stay at the Hotel Villa Romeo. It had an "old world" feel with modern conveniences; exactly what we were looking for in this fascinating city. The room was spacious and fully equipped with everything we needed, and the included breakfast was varied and generous. Special mention: The inner garden terrace breakfast terrace was a wonderful and unexpected delight. Absolutely gorgeous. We described the surroundings as gritty, but truly, pretty much all of Catania could be described thus. My wife and I never felt unsafe in any way, but Catania faces challenges in refuse removal and general upkeep. Overall, 5 out of 5!

Manager, Francesco remembers me !!! I stayed this hotel last September.
This hotel has the best location, very close to the station. Breakfast at a patio with Mallorca ceramic table is fabulous!
I definitely stay at this hotel whenever I come to Catania!

Great location to walk allover. Nice service and breakfast. Cozy place!

Terrible property! Avoid at all cost!! The pictures on the site were taken years ago! Since it has not been updates or cleaned. Front desk staff extremely rude. Moreover, I left my luggage for the afternoon after checkout. When I returned, I was charged in cash for it by the front desk attendant. I was never told I had to pay and I’m cash! No receipt, nothing. I travel several weeks out of the year for many years already. This is the first time I encountered this. This is not a 3 start hotel, it’s a 1 or two at max. Stay away from it!!

loved the decor!

Hotel is a solid 3 star. Good service from staff. Nice enough inside. It is convenient to the train station and motorcoach transit. However there is a number of homeless people in the area around all this, and a lot of litter, graffiti etc. We didn't feel threatened or uneasy about walking about but it isn’t the nicest area.

Nice hotel and staff. Great breakfast. The location is just next to the train station and 7 minutes walk from the center but the area is not so nice at night...

very friendly staff.

This hotel was so rundown and in such poor condition I forfeited a night and didn’t stay there. The surrounding area looked so unsafe for a woman alone my taxi driver didn’t want to drop me off. The whole place smelled of must and mold. I wound up paying twice what I had for a week in Malta for a lovely, but not nearly as nice a place.
