The property fit most of our needs. We had several families gather to visit. The only thing that would have been nicer would be a bathroom downstairs. Otherwise the property was great.

We had a bachelor party out here in new orleans and this was perfect. It just far enough away from the city to have a great recovery spot and some peace away from all of the craziesness of the city but close enough we can drive whenever we or get an uber for $50. The property manager was very responsive to everything from the fishing recomendations (fishing is awesome and we also crabbed. Caught enough for a crab boil). The only reccomendation is that if you come durning this time of the year bring some stuff to fight of nats and bugs there were alot at some points but a quick walmart trip helped us manage that. Other than that 10/10 hughly recommend.

Awesome property the water. Pontchartrain in the front and saint Catherine in the back. We would kayak fish for half our day and spent the other half in French quarter and garden district. If you kayak towards the bridge you can see ft pike. It was a great stay. The house was clean, comfortable and had everything we needed. The whole family loved it. We will definitely be back for a longer stay next time.

This house was wonderful! The location was perfect for a family vacation. We used the kayaks pretty much every day and really enjoyed them for fishing and just paddling up the canal. The back porch was a wonderful spot for morning coffee and to watch the birds on the water. Make sure to pack plenty of bug spray! I couldn’t be happier with the host and their communication. Really everything was just wonderful.

The view from the porch was amazing. It was great to wake up and watch the sunrise and enjoy the sights and sounds of the lake. The house had a great layout for spending quality time with my family and even some alone time for myself. The host continued in communication with us throughout our vacation. It was definitely a great stay.

Our family stayed here for a few days after Christmas and it was wonderful! We would have coffee on the porch every morning and look out at the beautiful view, visit New Orleans during the day and relax back at the property in the evening. The host was helpful and responsive! I would recommend this property!!

This is a beautiful and newly redone house on the bayou with a stunning view of the water and lots of herons and pelicans from the elevated porch. The owner , who lives in New Orleans, could not have been more welcoming and helpful to our family and our dog.

Peaceful, incredible location!!! Sunrise was our favorite and the whole family loved the hammock and amenities! We used the kitchen for breakfast and having a full size fridge was the best! Henry was so accommodating and recommended a GREAT bayou tour! The people in nearby Slidell were so friendly and we enjoyed having everything we needed just a short drive away. But really… the location!!!! Being right near the water was so peaceful and the weather in early November was terrific!!! Thank you for sharing your property with us!

Staying on Lake Catherine was just what we needed. We were in to see the Saints v Titans and enjoyed staying away from the city. It was a short drive to Bourbon street but being able to come back here and unwind was ideal. Great communication with the property owners, beautiful sunrises and sunsets. We will definitely be back!! Thank you for opening up your home to this crazy bunch from TN.

We loved staying here. It was a very good location with lots of things to do with in an hour and a half drive in any direction. The house was very clean and spacious and of course a beautiful view

My family of five stayed at the property for a week and we really could not have asked for a better place to stay. We were 30 minutes from downtown New Orleans for 10 to 15 from Slidell. The property was just far away to not have any of the drama and hustle that comes with the city, but also close enough that it made trips Easy. Absolutely will be, and would stay there again.

This house is amazingly perfect for a family. One of the most beautiful views I've ever seen. The home had everything you would need, minus some cleaning supplies. They even had equipment for a seafood boil! Our family loved it and we will for sure stay again!

The home was very nice ! It was perfect for our family ! We enjoyed fishing during the day and cooking together in the evenings. Kitchen is well stocked . Marina is right there to buy shrimp to fish with and ice. We used Walmart delivery for our groceries. Very pleased and we would love to come back again.

This property was beautiful and very peaceful. It was exactly as described. The only reason for the 4 star cleanliness was because the crab traps that were left for our use had old bait left in it. That was our only issue, the rest was amazing. I spent a lot of time in the hammock reading. Thank you so much for sharing your little piece of heaven with us. I would maybe suggest a small table of some kind in the master bathroom, to put your clothes or towels on. Overall we loved it and had a great vacation we would definitely come back.

We come to NOLA yearly for a week long conference. We decided to get away from the city the weekend before and it was amazing. House was located right on the water with beautiful views. Very clean, easy check in process and the restaurant recommendations from the property owner were amazing! Can't wait to come back next year!

Positives:
The private property is located on an island and the host was very proactive in communicating the location and other instructions. It is also close to food places (about 20mins). Good place to come and enjoy with friends and family.
Negatives:
Bedrooms are fine but the living room is not clean and I don't even want to mention about utensils. We had to clean them before using them. There is no dishwasher and so we had to leave the dishes in the sink.
You would expect the toiletries to be provided but none of the bathrooms had any of the toiletries except for hand wash.
Overall, the house offers bare minimum to stay but doesn't make you feel comfortable.

We absolutely loved this house! Hated leaving and can't wait to come back! It was beautiful, spacious and the ambience and vibe was incredible. 360 water views with excellent variety of birds and wildlife! Aldi is less than 20 minutes away in Slidell! Grab groceries then relax! Excellent and helpful hosts! Thanks for sharing your awesome home with us!
