Beautiful ski house with fantastic stone fireplace which warms up the livingroom/greatroom instantly; wood paneled/floored greatroom with comfy furniture and views of surrounding forest and porch off the greatroom (which has a BBQ). Very clean. Good TV and WiFi and loads of boardgames. Firepit in back yard with chairs around it was fun with the feeling of being deep in the forest. Quiet. Easy to find and get to, just a few minutes from Stratton skiing, Stratton market and gas station. Bedrooms were small but nice with nice linens with rooms with queen-size or twin beds. Easy parking for several cars. Only downside was there's a keuriq, so if you want fresh ground coffee, need to bring your own grinder and coffee machine. Hosts were terrifically kind, extremely responsive and very easygoing. Pets are allowed. Had a fantastic time even though the weather was rainy because house was so nice. Will definitely keep this on our short-list for our next ski rental.

We arrived late evening to a temperature inside the house of 48-degrees, and the heat was not working. As it was an upside down house the bedrooms on lower level were freezing.
We tried unsuccessfully to reach owner, and the online VRBO rep advised it was fully understood and appropriate to cancel, book elsewhere and process a refund, so we arranged alternate lodging for our second night.
The next morning, as we were leaving the property, we finally heard back from the owner, explaining the heat was not working and advised we just booked elsewhere and unfortunately had to cancel the remaining night of our res (to not risk freezing another night, as the temp actually dropped to 11-degrees).
He told us the cleaners had come in prior to our arrival and checked everything (impossible, as the home had not been prepared, the water was rusty, and each room full of dead flies and live gnats all over the floor). He apologized for the inconvenience, and told us he understood.
When we contacted VRBO about the refund, (less cleaning fee, which we offered, since we had used nearly all towels in the house to seal the bedroom from the elements) we were advised we had to go through the owner to process it, the owner told us to go through VRBO to process it, so we reached out to customer service again, who informed the owner had refused to authorize any refund, and expected us to honor both nights of the reservation since it was past cancelation date.
Very frustrating experience.

Location for this property is great. Owner was very easy to communicate, house was well stocked. We had about 14 inches of snow when we were there, and snow removal was also super prompt. Would definitely stay again!

Michael’s cabin is a short drive from Stratton and a cozy place to spend the evenings after a day of skiing! The bedrooms are small, but the living room makes up for it. We had a great time!

Our family (me, my husband, our twin 13 yr old daughters, and our our Dalmatian and bluetick hound) decided last minute to visit the Stratton area for a few days after Thanksgiving. We live on Long Island and the trip was very easy. The house was super easy to find and the owners allowed us to check in 30 minutes early, which was very helpful! The house was centrally located between Manchester for a day of shopping and Stratton Mt for great skiing/more shopping! The house was very clean and super cozy. The upper level was spacious and open with a fireplace and ample room for our family to enjoy tv cuddle time! The downstairs bedrooms were comfortable and very clean. Bringing our 2 dogs was not an issue. The house is near the main road, so we couldn't just let them run outside. We did go for walks up the road and explored the other houses up the mountain. We would stay here again. We didn't need to contact the owners for any issues, but when I did email them when we left, Mike responded very quickly.
Oh! I missed Mike's email early on our last morning offering for us to stay after the 11am checkout as they didn't have another guest checking in that day. That was a lovely gesture. Thank you! Highly recommend this property.
