1. Unauthorized Surveillance:
There are multiple video cameras placed around the property, including areas with views into private spaces such as sauna area, bedrooms and even bathrooms.
2. Undisclosed Fees:
Additional fees were charged on top of the ones specified in the listing. Contrary to the listing, we were also requested to bring our own bedding, linens, and towels which was a total surprise and inconvenience.
3. SCAM:
After a satisfactory checkout, the owner unexpectedly approached us with an offer to purchase chicken eggs. Upon our decline, he became agitated and unpleasant. After we left, he falsely accused us of various infractions that never happened and sent us numerous new fictitious charges in hundreds of dollars on top of what we had paid already as agreed originally. Just a scam.
4. Not Safe:
Hazardous ice on the parking area, walkways, and deck, resulting in a minor injury. The old malfunctioning BBQ was dangerous to use. The majority of things on the premises were cheap, old and falling apart.
5. Hygiene Issues:
Another concern was the request and signage instructing guests not to flush toilet paper, regardless of the nature of use. This practice, especially for solid waste, raises significant sanitary concerns. Despite the provision of what appeared to be septic-friendly toilet paper, the insistence on disposing of used toilet paper in a garbage bin is not only unsanitary but also inconsistent with common hygiene standards.

Clean. Lots of outdoor activities. Saw the milkyway, excellent fishing lake, many hiking trails. Geology unique. Lovely also for the older non hikers of the group. Peaceful.

Flowers were beautiful and we even had a visit from a Porcupine!

We enjoyed our week here. Swing great for parents and child. Little one played on trampoline. In the evenings sat around a campfire. Sauna warmed us on the chilly days. Good cottage layout for families. Trees offer nice shade; sat on comfy zero gravity chairs and a could lie down on large swing or hammock on its own frame. Can swim from dock or walk in from grassy lot. Large sand beach at nearby provincial park. Exceptionally clean cottage.

We loved the beautiful property and the location near the lake. We were 4 adults and 3 kids and there was plenty of room for everyone. The kids especially likely the bunk beds, trampoline, and tree swing. The cottage was a short 2 min walk to the water where the water was shallow with a lovely sandy bottom.
The host was very responsive and went through everything in detail when we arrived.
I would highly recommend this cottage.

If known toilet paper had to go in garbage containers beside toilet would have chose elsewhere. Disgusting. Was very never mentioned in listing. Only towels was hand towels. We were told to bring propane tank. Then get there no propane bbq. We were to check out at 5. Owner sitting there at one
