The doors did not lock properly. It looked closed, but anyone outside could push their way in. We found this out when mybson went into the hall, forgot something, and walked back into the room without a problem. He held the door closed and it didn't latch. It wasnt until it was slammed thst it locked properly.
The pool was super cold and the workout room was a joke. 3 machines and none of them were working.
The only positive i can say about this hotel is that the rooms are spacious.

Upon arriving we given a room with a lot of noise above us we ask the front desk for another room they were very responsive and gave us another room however the room was handicap accessible which we weren't told nor given a choice since our original room was not handicap accessible..the couch was worn and had stains. The remote to the blinds did not work and took quite a while for heater to warm the room

My little family stayed here for one night and it was very nice. The room was clean, bed was comfortable, and we felt relaxed and happy when we left. The only thing I can say is they should have had a high chair for breakfast because it was hard to feed my one year-old. But the food was good. :)

No complaints! Only small issue we had, was our tv in the room wouldn't work. The kind gentleman at the desk offered to let us switch rooms where the tv did work. It was great, the room was an upgrade, with a balcony overlooking the lake. We were impressed! Also told us where to go eat locally. Was a great stay 😊

I left an expensive dress shirt in the closet by mistake. They refused to return it to me, with me paying the cost of shipping.

Overall our stay is good. Front desk area and Hallways are clean 👍, smells good too. Buffet breakfast was ok. Friendly staff. Cleanliness is ok but not so good 😞. It was dusty behind the washroom door (hairs too), closets is dusty, sofa needs vacuuming. I’m sorry to make this comments but the hotel needs to know.
I would still recommend this hotel

Alex at the front desk was amazing. Very personable and helped us with the few things that we needed.

Room darkening blinds did not work. Didn’t open or shut. They were permanently 80% closed
Also not hot food in the warmers at breakfast for about 20 minutes
Water pressure and temperature was great

Great hotel. Very clean and affordable. The only issue was that the clerk could not find our reservations which were booked via Expedia. I actually contacted the property 2 days prior to our visit to confirm reservations. The person located/confirmed both reservations via phone. When we went to check in 2 days later the reservations were not there. Luckily they were still able to accomodate our stay.

There were no hangers, the landline was not connected, curtains were torn and pathetic, the bathroom linen was limited to 1 washcloth and 1 handtowel, room was not cleaned during my 4 day stay

Four things made this stay disappointing:
1. Broken toilet. Beware, Rm. 320. After checking in, we realized the toilet wasn't properly working. After the first flush, we could see that the handle wasn't coming back up, and the noise from the water tank wasn't stopping. My husband tried to adjust the parts in the water tank, but nothing worked other than to manually force the handle back up. We asked for a new room and got one. Which led to #2 ...
2. Dirty. The first thing we did was flush the toilet, which worked. However, the toilet seat looked dirty (it was just old and scratched and should have been replaced ages ago), and there was some questionable substance on the seat. I wiped it off (gross), and also realized the upper inside rim of the toilet bowl was dirty. It definitely needed a deep cleaning. Beware: Room 211.
3. Outdated and old facilities
- The hairdryer unit was broken and hanging by a thread.
- The faucet may have been missing a part in the aerator. Water spouted out, resulting in water getting onto the sink top each time.
- The half wall that divides the bed area from the couch. The top of it was stripped off, making it unsightly.
4. The fitness center doesn't open until 10AM—you can only get to it by going through the pool area, which was locked. Such a late open is ridiculous, and I ended up not even using it.
This is my first ever review. I travel a lot and have stayed in numerous hotels; never felt the urge to leave a review until this stay.

When I arrived the sheets on both beds were dirty, one of bed had an eyelash extension under the covers and the other had a large dark spot on the flat sheet. When I asked if they could change the sheets while I was out, they told me all they could do was give me the sheets to do it myself. Also, the couch cushions were dirty, the window screens were bent, and the walls are paper thin. Definitely wouldn’t recommend staying here.

Very rude and when I tried to cancel, I was kind of forced to stay there. I was very uncomfortable just needs to be cleaned better too. There was air all over my shower. I was so tired that I was kind of forced to stay there because no one else would check me in because of how late I checked in.

I think the fee for the stay reflected the cleanliness of the room. There was a lot of dust on the headboards. We found hair everywhere. On the beds, floor and toilet seat. The staff were very friendly at check-in. But, the card reader was causing some issues. I had to return to the front desk several times to get reissued a door card. There were no towels in the pool area. Overall, the stay was not terrible. But, I was disappointed with the things we came across.

There was no power for two days because of the storm. But the staff was very helpful and advised the power would probably be on soon! No luck and not able to shower during our stay.

Everything was very enjoyable except I stayed in a handicap room and recovering from an leg injury. I believe the beds in those types of rooms are too high especially if it was someone who was staying there in a wheelchair

Good place to stay nice people, just had major renovations so there little glitches. Would stay again

When i booked this place originally i was a bit worried because of the reviews, when you travel 800 miles and you find out the hotel may be not good, it can be anxiety inducing. However thankfully my experience was very well, there were minor flaws here and there, the table may have had a busted leg and the picture on the wall had water damage. However, the staff was very friendly, many restuarants in walking distance, had a clean feeling in the building, the pool was clean and the breakfest was good. I would definitely come here again!

The environment is very good. You can see the small lake from the balcony, it’s very beautiful

The place was averagely clean could have been better!
But the staff was top notch!

Not much good to say, I mean I guess we got what we paid for! Upon check-in they put us in the wrong room. A family of sick can't sleep in a room with 2 queens and a jacuzzi tub!
In the room we finally placed in, didn't have any towels for the shower or linens for the pull out couch. The door didn't latch behind you, you needed quite a bit of muscle to pull it shut to get it to latch. Overall, the hotel is in need of a major redo.
Won't stay again.

Very quiet, safe hotel. Was upgraded to a jacuzzi tub for free! Although it did have a sink faucet instead of a tub faucet so it took forever to fill, but free is free. We did bring a blacklight with us, and our beddings was "iffy" on whether it was clean or not. Staff was very friendly and nice, complimentary breakfast was decent. Price was fair, would stay again.

Convenient stay for Great Lakes Crossing
1.0 / 10.0
The room was dirty along with the hallway and elevator. There was old, chewed up food on the floor of the hallway. Trash piled up everywhere. Found hairs in our bathtub, which didn't work, and the bed linens were covered in yellow stains and so was the comforter. Ended up leaving the sheet on the couch, unused. The house keeping staff were very rude. The amount of noise was beyond insane. People were in the hallways yelling all day and night. I have stayed in multiple Comfort Inns and have never had such a horrible experience. I will never stay in this specific hotel again nor will i recommend this hotel to potential future patrons.
