We enjoyed our stay, note left by the host appreciated. Recommended to family planning a trip to rotorua.

Great location, cosy and relaxing environment

It’s quite cold, would be better if heaters can be used altogether. Dryer also is a must especially during winter/rainy season.

Overall is good

Very clean unlike other places , had everything we needed , heat pump was great in the hot weather . Cookies were great as a welcome gift.

The very low fence was pain and damaged our car while were returning. Owner should do something about it to not damage others cars

The rooms were cosy and there was good facilities. The biscuits were a nice welcoming touch.

The neighbour was very noisy at all hours of day and night revving his car right outside our window. Also the heaters couldn't be used in the bedrooms at the same time as the heater in the living room and it was quite cold. Also the toilet door was broken.

Pictures were exactly how it appeared when I booked through booking.com . Me and my family were welcomed by a note with a bag of cookies that we were very impressed by. It felt like home. Communication with the owner was great. We checked in around 5pm and it was a cold arrival in Rotorua. Was a bonus to have a heat pump as it made our stay very warm especially for our young kids. Everything you will need was provided, Clean bedding, clean Towels, coffee, Milo, tea, sugar even Shampoo, Conditioner and body wash (I'm not talking about the small amount that you receive at a hotel/motel).. You won't need to supply your own. We over packed for with our toiletries lol The house is a shared drive way with the back house. Cars come and go, my family and I were used to the sound of traffic going in and out of the shared drive way. We live on the main road in Auckland so it didn't bother us. Definitely worth the value. We will definitely come back!! THANK YOU!!

Lovely host disrespectful neighbours other then that was a good getaway just didn’t go out much as there was gang member

Tiny little place was nice for me and my girlfriend and father to go for my birthday

The neighbour were gang members and there were people going in and out at like 1 am and doing skids outside on motorbike it wasn’t the nicest we were bit scared to go outside when they were home

Has everything you need to feel at home.

There were small ants everywhere and the different heaters flipped the breaker.

The flat was great, very warm and cozy. Kitchen appliances were great, kettle and hob were available. Each room had a small heater as well, and had nice thick duvets. Host was lovely and helped us with a few recommendations and made the room feel extra welcome.

Was a comfortable stay for me and my family. The house had everything we needed.

Neighbors. as it was a shared driveway the back house stayed up allnight walking up and down the driveway shouting etc , All hours of the morning which made it hard for the kids to get proper sleep .

Exceptional

I liked everything at Iri's cosy retreat. It was very homely. Had all the things we needed plus the place had first aid kit which I've never seen from all the other places I've stayed. Kudos to the owner for creating a nice and safe place for the guests.

Think twice before you book!

Clean and comfy. It is a cozy home.

I have to admit this is a beautiful house. Unfortunately,house being ransacked while we were out. Our cash and some belongings were stolen. Guess what! The thieves were staying behind our unit.

Cozy and comfortable home away from home to explore Rotorua

The Cosy Retreat is a total gem and our family of 3 (mommy, daddy, 5-year-old) instantly felt at home. It’s a spacious and comfortable property that was perfect for us to explore the Rotorua area. The house was spotless clean and super well equipped. Iri was extremely responsive and helpful the entire stay, so we couldn’t recommend staying here more.

One could argue is that the location is not very central, but too is that was a good thing. The house is situated away from the “stinkiness” of downtown Rotorua and just a short drive away from the Skyline and Whakarewarewa MTB parks, as well as other attractions.

A great base from which to fall in love with Rotorua.

It was well described as a cosy retreat. It had everything we needed, was clean and comfortable and fairly central to the places we wanted to visit.

The hot water was very hot. If it was turned down just a few degrees it would save on electricity.

I found the lovely extra treats left for us was very awesome. there were heaps of room and space. Also, the understanding of my partner turning up unexpected due to flight being cancelled was so appreciated. Thank you so much.

A comfortable stop on our family of five’s travels through the North Island

A well set-up, cosy property with all the utilities we needed as well as the space for us to relax while it rained. The cookies were so thoughtful and the little Christmas tree was a lovely extra touch.
