We thought we were going to have privacy. I saw we were offered the big house, that we didn't know was there until two days before our trip and I was given the address. I was told we could have stayed in the main house but there was someone in the main house. The coffee pot was sticky. we only stayed Friday night and didn't go back. I thought we had a private deck and felt like we were trespassing on the main house's deck. Not the privacy we thought from the pictures.

Great weekend getaway. Excellent property and property manager.

In general, the house needed some upkeep and cleaning (light bulbs missing, lots of bugs, grass not mowed). However, the property owner did everything she could to help make our stay enjoyable and allowed us to stay on an adjoining property. While this property wasn't ideal for our needs, the property owner was extremely helpful to try to improve our experience.

This little cottage is charmingly decorated. Though it is located in the heart of Ft Payne there is a feel of being in the country because of a wooded area across from and directly behind the unit. Ft Payne is a perfect central location to view and visit the surrounding area. We went to Scottsboro for Unclaimed Baggage and lunch at The Liberty Restaurant; made several trips to Mentone to eat at The Wildflower Cafe; drove to Buck's Pocket State Park and several more day excursions and were always with a 40 minute drive back to Ft Payne.
The unit is furnished with a full sized refrigerator, a two burner hot plate, a toaster oven and coffee maker. There is ample cookware and dishware to prepare and serve simple meals. Sleeping quarters are in the loft which has ample head space to stand upright. There is a daybed rather than a sofa in the area that suffices as a living room. No cable TV is available but the wifi allows streaming of subscribed services like Netflix and Amazon Prime Video. Our host was hospitable and quick to respond to any calls or text messages.

The cottage was so comfy and perfect for the 2 of us. It was close in town but very quiet. It was very easy to communicate with managers and we had no problems. It is a great small town and there are lots of fun things to do within a short drive. I would definately stay there again and recommend it to a couple.

Small cute cottage. It is very close to town, yet the property is private with beautiful trees and a peaceful backyard. Very safe neighborhood. Extremely clean, thanks to the awesome property manager. Wifi was excellent.

This was a nice option for our last minute trip over New Year’s Eve weekend. We felt like we had sufficient privacy, the place was clean, and conveniently close to anything to do in the Fort Payne area.

The host was very easy to communicate with and had a very nice detailed information about the rental and places near by and things to do. The house was close to the downtown area but was up a quite hill and we had a very pleasant weekend away at this house. Everything was very clean and as described. The bed was comfortable and a very inviting space!
