Recently booked a 3 night trip for me and my 19yr old twins. Firstly the road to the lodge is just wide enough for a single car and is at a steep 50-60° angel. The is a drop straight off the edge, no where to pull over. I drive a new SUV, we were coming down and a car was coming up the road and we had to reverse on icy gravel at 60°. It was a nightmare. The lodge is pretty high up so the view is beautiful but several very steep roads to get there.
And we took the recommended path.
Once there the lodge is well furnished, amd was very clean but the road is not drivable at night due to no lighting and very steep turns on a very high mountain. So we stayed 1 night and left. Paid in advance for 3. Personally it was not what I expected and would not be returning or recommending.

This was the perfect stay for the destination wedding we attended. It was an easy 3-minute drive from the Nantahala Events Center.

We really enjoyed our stay! Clean, comfortable, and in a great location. Well stocked for cooking, and all the beds were comfortable. Nice outdoor patio.

We booked this cabin because it was close to the location of the destination wedding of a family friend. I am happy to give this cabin a full 5 star rating. We found everything to be exactly as described in the ad. In fact the cabin was larger inside than I expected. My husband and I along with our 19 year old daughter had more than enough room. We brought all of our food for 4 days and found all the cooking tools we needed. The queen bed was very comfy. Loved morning coffee and a good book out on the deck. The only major call out I would give future guests is to know the location is on a long narrow (single lane) hilly dirt road. Our 4-Runner had no trouble but this would not be a trip for a low clearance car or a stick shift. After a few trips up and down the hill my husband did get more comfortable driving. Definitely take the advice of the host for directions rather than using GPS. Also there is absolutely no cell service in that area so plan ahead. The wifi at the cabin worked fine for texting and email. I found it wasn’t quite good enough to do my remote work as a data analyst. There is a landline telephone and Roku TV streaming worked well. Overall charming, clean, quiet, and dog friendly.

My wife and I stayed here during Memorial Day weekend. The property looks just like the pictures, if not better! Spacious and though there were only two of us, there is easily enough room for 4-5 people with the upstairs loft. Beautiful location and secluded enough to not see any neighbors near by.
Also, they are really dog-friendly! Some locations will say they are pet-friendly but have no accommodations for the pets. , but location actually provided dog bowls and a dog bed as well. Very cool! Overall a great place and perfect location. Highly recommend.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would stay here again! The cabin had just about every thing you could need and was just the perfect size for my fiance and I and our two dogs! We loved being able to see the lake as well! I will add, pay attention to the instructions given on VRBO and not the book that's in the cabin. I think it might be outdated (wifi password in book does not work, look on router for correct one; trash goes in garage, not the basement). Overall, no complaints to be had!
