About this apartment rental
Step back in time and enjoy staying in the recently restored, iconic, Gilbaugh building and walk to all the best places to eat, drink and recreate in downtown Astoria. This well appointed, 2-bd 1-bath flat boasts beautiful period architecture and wonderful river and marine traffic views. Located in the historic district, the flat is 1 block from the Ft. George Brewery and Heritage Museum and a couple of blocks from the Maritime Museum, Reachbreak Brewing, Bowpicker, Riverwalk and many others. Relax and watch the ship traffic through original double hung wood windows with wavy glass. Although close to everything, we maintain a quiet separation from the bustle of downtown in an area of historic architecture making the location perfect for your next Astoria visit. Commercially zoned, permitted and lovingly restored, this flat is maintained, owned and operated by Astorians. Our area serves a mix of both long-term and short-term tenants so we appreciate quiet respect for the neighbors. Park on-street and walk to everything. This historic craftsman apartment is located in Astoria's historic district where a variety of beautifully restored Victorian, Mediterranean, Tudor and Craftsman homes and buildings can be seen. This is an older building (over 100 years old) with original, restored wood floors. In this lower flat, there may be some sounds like foot traffic from the tenants on the floor above. If you find this a disturbance, we provide white noise machines in the bedrooms as well as ear plugs. Also note; we discourage running or stomping in this flat as it can be heard throughout the building.

During our 3-night stay here, we were able to explore Astoria, Fort Stevens State Park and the Long Beach peninsula. There was still plenty left to discover after our stay. View of the Columbia River and ship traffic will keep you absorbed no matter the weather. Deserves another visit.

We had a wonderful stay in Astoria. The location was excellent, so close to the river with a great view. The common space was inviting and spacious.and the beds were very comfortable and we all slept well. The bathroom could use some updating but was adequate. The hosts were great, easy to contact and responsive to any needs and questions. We were happy with our decision to stay there.

This is a great close-in apartment perfect for our family trip. The trundle bed was a hit with our 7 year old!

Stayed in historic district of Astoria. Good view of Columbia River and watching the freighter boats going out. Great stay

Great location! Very nice layout and accomodations. Would recommend some plug-in night lights in the bathroom and kitchen as it is hard to locate the light switches in the dark. Shower curtain is a little difficult to use. Thanks!

Great location which is why we chose this property. We were within walking distance of most museums/atractions and a good many restaurants.
The beds were comfortable, kitchen had what we needed for making breakfast. I also liked the sitting area couches. We were visiting with adult relatives and this gave us a good area to sit and socialize. We enjoyed the puzzle, maybe get a few more for variety.

This was a beautiful flat! It has all the kitchen basics, a claw foot tub, an amazing location and we didn't have any parking issues.

The place was cozy and clean and had all the amenities we needed in a weekend stay. The location was GREAT! It took less than 5 minutes to walk to the downtown area, and it overlooked the water. I definitely recommend staying here if you're visiting the area.

Easy to get to all touristy things in the area.
I would like the owners to know that we both had concerns about the shower being slippery. We are in our 70s, so maybe it's just us.

The apartment was nice. Very icy steps though. It was a quiet and relaxing stay.

This property is great! Stayed here two nights with my wife and our teens (13,15). Check-in process was simple and seamless. The place had very easy parking, right out front. None of us had problems with the stairs and bonus, they have motion lights on the steps for nighttime!
Inside, the house was very clean, decorated nicely, but left plenty of room for our luggage. There are some board games, a good variety of options on the TV, and some local movies available! The kitchen was very usable, my wife really enjoyed the pour over coffee I made and my 13 yo loved the teas..
We used both beds and the rollout, all very comfortable. The two beds are firm, but nice. The rollout is a little softer, but still comfy. The couches were great for watching Goonies before we adventured out to see the sites.
We all loved the place, but the location was really amazing. We walked to most of the sites and museums from the house. There’s a great brewery around the corner, Fort George, where we had dinner our second night. That place also has a great coffee shop downstairs called Scorchers. We stopped there both mornings for drinks and pastries on the way out. It’s also a short walk to Mo’s where we had dinner the first night.
If you are looking for a place to stay, stop looking and get this place. Thanks to the host for a wonderful stay!
