The birthday girl is a history buff and wanted to immerse herself in the history of one of her favorite cities. We couldn't have picked a more perfect spot to stay! This historic Victorian house has all the right upgrades plus all the right vintage feels. The baths and kitchen are beautifully upgraded, the beds are comfy, there are so many choices of cozy nooks to sip a cup of tea (or margarita) while visiting or reading. Close to all the shops and restaurants. We loved it!

This house is fantastic! The beds were so comfortable. Enjoyed having two sitting areas. It helped being able to have our own space while two of us were working remotely…(and another got to nap). We had a morning bike ride with the bikes stored in the basement. The basement was also great area to sit back and relax. The kitchen has everything you could possibly need.

We loved this house! The kitchen is fantastic and fully stocked to enjoy your stay. The beds were insanely comfortable and rooms spacious. We hope to stay here again for the home tours weekend.
Thank you!

Had a great time. House was just like it shows on Vrbo. Lots of room and close to Strand. Would come back again.

We loved everything about the house, the location, furnishings, everything! It was perfect for our weekend on the island.

The home was very well appointed and the location was great. No downside at all - make sure to go to the basement it is great (although we didn't go down until right before leaving - our mistake). The only downside, which the owner has accommodated as well as possible, is the lack of hanging space in old Victorian homes.. so plan accordingly

We would definitely return as the location worked well for us. It was within easy walking distance to the strand, right up the road from the Dirty Iguana. Don't expect great views but a decent neighborhood. Our biggest issue occurred on night one. When we arrived about 5 pm, the fire alarm in the upstairs bedroom went off. I contacted the host through VRBO. They returned contact by the time it stopped on its own. We agreed that as long as it didn't go off again, it could wait until the next morning. It went off again, at 130 in the morning. I sent a message. No response. I eventually called the VRBO help line and they tried to contact the host with no response. At 4 a.m., my husband took the shovel he had dound and knocked it off the wall. (We tried to get to it in other ways but it was way up on the historic walls and we did not have a ladder.) The next day, their handyman shows up and tells us it has to be replaced as it expired in 2020. We get thay things happen but...
1. If you have been informed earlier thay something is going on, take care of it then or be available in the middle of the night.
2. The purpose of using a VRBO is to ensure a good night's sleep. We did not have a good night's sleep.
And 3. If something occurs and you can't take care of it in a reasonable ammount of time offer something to compensate for the problems. (They offered us an extra night at a 15% discount. We did not want to pay for an extra night nor did we have the time.)

The home was beautifully restored in a way that preserved most of the historic beauty of the house. Great location, well stocked kitchen, and comfortable beds. This was a weekend girls trip and we all raved about how amazing the home was.

We had a group of about 10 friends staying with us for the weekend and everyone absolutely loved this home, so much so that we extended our stay for one more night. We will definitely book again.
